The staff are wonderful. Special shout out to Yuni who provided truly exceptional service throughout our stay. Breakfast restaurant was delicious with lots of variety and wonderful views. Daily yoga was led by one of the best instructors I’ve met!

Stairs! Honestly I am really fit but having to climb endless stairs was not my idea of relaxing. I also had requested a pool villa close to the pool but was given a room up near reception which I wasn’t entirely happy with as the ocean views weren’t great. Suggest rooms 6xx for privacy and good views. The resort is quite dated and needs refurbishing.

Honestly, the food in the restaurant was atrocious for the price you pay. Overcooked lobster and prawns, and sloppy undercooked linguini. If you’re going to charge people western prices for food, make sure you train your chefs to be capable of delivering consistent good food. For me, this wax extremely disappointing. Dinner cost me $250 (without a good bottle of wine), and it you can get better for $90 in Melbourne (where they know how to cook)

The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, great couch for lounging, huge bed, huge balcony with beautiful views, fantastic shower with great water pressure, air conditioning worked well and wasn’t noisy. Staff were wonderful! Pool was wonderful, perfect temperature, plenty of room and never crowded. Housekeeping was fantastic.

Location of hotel is quite isolated, it’s a minimum 10-15min walk to get to nearest restaurant. In saying this, you can’t have the magnificent views and be on the Main Street, it’s one or the other. Everything is very expensive at this hotel. The restaurants charge $25aud for simple dishes like Mi Goreng & Nasi Goreng. you could get this outside the hotel for under $10aud. The spa facilities cost us $180aud for a couples 1hr massage. outside the hotel this would cost $40aud. Hotel Car cost $20aud to go 10-20min drive. GoJek would cost about $5aud. They charge 11% service fee on top of all prices - this is fine, I just really hope this fee does go to the staff, and I hope the staff are paid above average wage to match the huge prices the hotel charges.

Great location with an amazing view of the sea. We were upgraded to a villa. But given that there were only the 2 of us we couldn't make good use of it.

For the amount paid, the place seemed to be a little on the higher side. Also, the road leading up to the resort is not accessible to mobile app taxi services which makes moving around a problem. I had asked the front desk about the drop off service to the main road, they initially said it was free and later asked us to pay for it. Also, don't rent scooters through the resort, they charge double the market rate. Fix it before hand with a service like bikago.

I like that it’s beside the beach, the location is good lots of activities is close to it

We booked the room with private pool, but the thing is it doesn’t provide 100% privacy for muslims assuming it’s private. However the staff tried to solve the issue and was very kind but the whole resort doesn’t have the level of pool privacy i was looking for

The room was spotless it looked exactly like the photos, they cleaned our room morning and evening we were so happy with this as it was up to such a high standard. The pool in our room was cleaned everyday without asking and they provided clean robes too The staff are so so friendly and accommodating they can’t do enough for you we felt so special everywhere we went we were greeted everywhere which added to our experience. There is so much food option and the tapenyaki was sensational all the food was cooked to perfection it was amazing. The outdoor pool was perfect temperature not too hot or cold and the bar staff was always so nice We will definitely be returning and can’t wait to see all the happy staff again. The price for drinks and food was so so cheap and never disappointed

We had a Villa where we entertained our friends .. It was amazing .. we had Giri Arnadu Executive Chef look after us a group of 9 and the BBQ in the Villa was outstanding.. would highly recommend just going with his recommendations as he did not get it wrong. Giri was wonderful. Our host for the Villa was Ria and she was great with organising transport and all our needs while we were there .. thanks to both .. you have made our trip memorable.

No elevators to the Villa and Restaurant closer to the beach. If you have mobility issues just check that you are in the main building which does have an elevator.. Steps are very challenging.

Top Service, Top Location, Top Facilities! Anantara Uluwatu exceeded our expectations in every way! The location is absolutely stunning with breathtaking ocean views. The hotel’s facilities leave nothing to be desired – from the luxurious rooms to the well-maintained outdoor areas. We would especially like to highlight the excellent service: The entire team is incredibly attentive and accommodating. A special thanks to Mr. Eka Adi, who was always there with a smile and great helpfulness. He is a true asset to the hotel and made our stay even more enjoyable. My wife and I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay at Anantara was lovely. We were there for a 5 day break from the cold at home and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, the location was breathtaking, and the room was huge, luxurious and clean with an incredible view of Impossible Beach. I unfortunately got the dreaded Bali Belly for a couple of days, meaning we spent more time at the resort than originally planned. However we didn't feel like we missed out with lovely days by the beautiful pool and the hotel restaurants serving a good range of cuisines and lovely dishes (mainly for my husband). All in all I would highly recommend the Anantara if you want a luxurious, relaxing stay in a less chaotic part of Bali. We will definitely return!

Less of a dislike, more of a note for potential visitors - there are A LOT of steps to get from the main building down to the pool (and back up). While not a problem for us, if you have mobility challenges this may be an issue. Also, if you don't have kids, avoid the school holidays if possible. Anantara wasn't overrun with families like other resorts that cater more to them, however the pool area is relatively small and our last couple of days (when school holidays were over) were a lot more peaceful (nothing against kids by the way, just check before you book a couple's break if you want a bit less chaos in the public spaces).

The view was simply incredible. You got the full sunset from the pool and it was amazing. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious. Anything you wanted they had - eggs (scrambled, fried, poached, omelette), pancakes, indonesian food, pastries, fresh juices. I couldn't fault it The staff are are also so lovely, every time we came or left every person said welcome back or hello. We went for our honeymoon and felt truly special - they left a towel swan, rose petals and a beautiful writing on the mirror.

Nothing - people have complained about the stairs but I didn't mind them. After eating 3 servings of breakfast I quite enjoyed the extra bit of exercise
