Basically, we liked everything very much. The staff is lovely and very helpful, the rooms are very nice, the beds are big and comfortable and the view is great. I would have loved to rate the hotel a 10 but would not book it again because of that one problem....

Depending on the direction of the wind or no wind, it pushes all the smoke from the large BBQ restaurant downstairs directly onto the balconies of the hotel. The first taste comes at midday and in the evening you are totally smoked in. On the first 3 days we were lucky that the wind blew in the right direction and on the next three without wind we couldn't be on the balcony from 4pm at the latest. So if you're unlucky, you book a beachfront hotel and can't use the balcony at sunset. The problem could be solved relatively easily with a chimney.

The location right on the beach was superb.

The stairs were a nightmare. This needed to be clearer in the advert. Some people could not physically achieve this, especially Carrying luggage. There is help if you have good communication with the hotel, which I didn't but that wasn't their fault. Also the water is rocky, which is fine if you have reef shoes - PACK REEF Shoes!

Love that we had unobstructed view of the beach. It is a great place to unwind, breathe and sit by the beach without actually sitting by the beach. The food downstairs was good too, we had a seafood feast.

The steps, but it was like a rainbow after a rain. The beauty of what was beyond the steps was worth it. There was also not much around after 10pm, no food service. We weren’t able to see any sun set view bcos it was blocked by cliffs.

The views are unbeatable.. it was so breathtaking, better than the photos. You can see the most beautiful sunset from your bed, as well as beautiful colours to wake up to. The room was nicer than I thought it would be, newer facilities and clean.

The stairs down to the venue aren't fun - but we were aware of that! I am glad we only stayed for two nights, as any longer would have felt a bit isolating, we prefered being near more of the cafes and restaurants - but it was perfect for the two nights. The walls were also quite thin, so if you had loud neighbours that was a bit annoying, but they provided earplugs!

Amazing views to wake up to every morning! Staff were also excellent and extremely helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we felt extremely well-rested. If you surf, this place is a huge plus as you’re only steps away from Bingin. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

As the main road (along Temple Lodge) is on higher ground than the resort (along the beach), there are a few flights of stairs you’d have to go down to get to the resort, and also climb up to get out of the resort. It was very doable though, and the staff even arranged for porters to take our luggage for us to ensure we were well-taken care of :) Just something to note if you are unable to climb stairs! Disposable bedroom slippers would also be a nice touch!

Perfect location, incredible views, splendid amenities coupled with absolutely amazing service! Legends was legendary for us. Everytime we entered the hotel after being out, we were greeted with warm, happy smiles from people who went out of their way to help us. We had cockroaches in our studio, but the team made an extraordinary gesture by instantly refunding 1 night of our stay (we dint even ask for it), and ensuring they sprayed the room with baygon every day while cleaning. Honestly, the way they reacted to our complaint- made the complaint go away quickly. Thank you to the legends team! You'll were fabulous:)

A few cockroaches in the room, but to be honest, I think that area (Bingin beach) had a slight issue- so it was not the hotels fault.

Gorgeous views and right on the beach! One of my fav places that I stayed during my 2 weeks in Bali. Beyond beautiful balcony where I could sit and watch the surfers all day everyday. Also loved the amenities in the room - from the Bluetooth speaker, to the complementary fruit/cookies and actual dishes/metal forks/knives/spoons to the bottles of wine in the mini-bar. Loved putting everything in the safe and being able to walk out the door and enjoy the day on the beach without having to worry about any of my belongings!

Nothing! They thought of everything! You can even get lattes from the bar downstairs, which seems to still be in the process of being finished. As others have noted - definitely be aware that there a ton of steps to get down to the accommodation. It didn’t bother me since I only popped up once to get a few items from the mini-mart at the top and enjoyed all the restaurants on the beach. They also have porters to help with your luggage.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Legends. The rooms were an absolute dream overlooking the beach. They were extremely clean, beautifully decorated, and free of clutter. The staff was beyond exceptional with friendly and attentive service. We had easy access to all of the activities available at the beach like board rentals, cafes, and restaurants. ALSO, there's nightly fish BBQ downstairs, which WOW, just livened the atmosphere and allowed us to enjoy an absolutely unique dining experience just a quick walk downstairs. We cannot recommend this place enough. If you're contemplating booking your stay here, definitely choose this one. You will not regret it! Congratulations to the owner and wonderful staff. Beautiful hotel.

Location, location, location!

Little difficult to get up and down to, but hey, that’s the location.

I think it is very overpriced for just a room (although with amazing view) but no onsite facilities. Yes being on the beach is great but hard to get a spot on the beach in front or near rooms as it is a very overcrowded beach. Also being on the same floor as the front entry lots of banging of doors from staff going in and out of the storage room next to one of our doors to our room
