We had a lovely stay at Clai Ban. It’s a lovely BnB that makes you feel like you’re at home. The room was very comfortable with all the required amenities. We even had a view of the ocean. The breakfast was great and the hosts are extremely friendly and was happy to provide us with some recommendations. The location is perfect! Close to the harbour, restaurants and bike hire stores. I would highly recommend staying here. Our only minor complaint is that the bed was super soft (we prefer a harder bed but we realise that this is just a personal preference).

Brantley was an outstanding host-gracious and accommodating in all respects. There was a minor gale when I arrived (Ireland in February), and he met me right at the door and showed me in. Even offered to drive me back to the airstrip when it came time. The room was clean, warm, and exactly as advertised. Perhaps the best part was the breakfast Brantley made and served—a full Irish breakfast with a side of great conversation. He taught me about the Irish language and answered all my questions about life on the island. I had time to stay on Inis Mór only one night, but it was just enough to make me keen to return for a much longer stay. No better place to stay than Clai Bán.

This is a small issue, but I feel a duty to mention it…. Whilst checkout was at 11am we felt some implied pressure to leave the room, if not the premises, as soon as breakfast was over at about 9.30. Maybe I am a little too sensitive but I am still recovering from an illness and really needed a little more rest this morning. I went back to sleep for an hour actually. I am 73 and my husband is 75. He recently had major surgery. We were not catching our ferry till noon. We were not farewelled from the house with any warmth when we left just prior to 11. Perhaps the departure would be better set at 10 if 11 creates inconvenience for the business owner. He had been very pleasant up to that point.

Bartley is a wonderful host and cooks a great breakfast. The room was spotless and the shower was great. You're conveniently close to Kilronan and right next door to a great pub (Joe Watty's). Would highly recommend and happy to come back here should we visit the island again.

For us two tall travellers, it would have been nice to have a bigger double bed, ie king size rather than queen (as is the case with most properties we've stayed at in Ireland).

Lovely room and cosy. So handy where it’s located literally around the corner from Wattys pub, really lovely breakfast in the mornings and fantastic host. Only a short walk from when you get off the ferry, and spar is only down the road. The host is so lovely and made us feel very welcome, I would 100% recommend staying here and will hopefully stay here again, the dog porter and the donkeys are a complete bonus❣️

It was a great place to stay for two nights - clean, tidy, and well maintained. The host was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There's a place to park bicycles and to leave your luggage after the checkout which allowed us to see more places before ferry. Breakfast was just perfect and the coffee might just be the best on the island. Would definitely recommend!

We loved everything about our stay at Clai Ban. Bartley and Porter are great hosts, the breakfast was very good, room very big and clean, bathroom the same. We didn’t really use the wifi too much but it was pretty fast. The location is perfect because it’s only 500mt from the port and 100mt from the best pub in Inishmore but still very quiet.

Highly recommend a stay here. Comfortable room, great shower, great location, excellent breakfast cooked to order and Bartley was a wonderful host with great recommendations. I would definitely stay again and hope I will. Extra points for the cuddles with Porter the dog too!

Once again my adult daughter and I enjoyed our stay in the family room (two beds). We had not been here since before the pandemic and were pleased to find the restroom completely remodeled and updated floor to ceiling. (it now has a shower!) I also think the bedroom has been updated too. Everything was perfectly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the nautical themed decor. The sitting areas were comfortable. The b&b is a very short walk from the pier and shopping. The outstanding pub, Joe Watty’s, is right next door. It’s an excellent option for lunch and dinner.

Bartley & Marion are excellent hosts. We greatly enjoyed our stay here, with comfortable beds, a clean room, a quiet house and showers with pressure (exceptional enough in Ireland, so we think it needs to be highlighted!). Breakfast is included and generous. Bartley is very kind and made us feel right at home. We warmly recommand this lovely place.
