The room did not have a beach few as it was described. People were allowed to bring their dogs in, I really wanted to sit outside with the ocean view and enjoy my dinner but there were 2 dogs (one was arrosed) it was not fun to eat while the dogs are staring at me and people were feeding their dog of the table and eating after dog lick them. It was a little disgusting 🫣. I love animals, just not were im having my dinner.

Stayed for 6 nights in August for a wedding close by. Our room was a good size, clean and tidy. The bathroom although not large was absolutely fine. The bed was lovely and comfortable and pillows were good too. We had a bedside table and lamp each. A portable fan and hairdryer were available to use in the room. We had a side on view to the beach – the view was lovely – it’s just a pity the weather was not very good. Great to have a kettle for tea and coffee in the room. As water in the rooms is not drinkable it was good to have bottled water supplied each day. After reading reviews on another website we were concerned about the food – it was no problem at all – we ate there 4 out of 6 nights and between us tried 6 different meals all were really very tasty and great size portions. We only managed 1 desert which was also very good. Breakfast – we had the full Irish each day again it was well cooked and very tasty. A small fridge in the room would really be a bonus. All staff we met were very good, helpful and polite nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Loved the ocean view! The restaurant was wonderful, so much so we ate dinner there both nights of our stay! Breakfast was great and huge portions. Super quiet breakfast area both mornings and looking at the water from the tables was so relaxing. A great homebase as one day we went the Connemara Loop/ Kylemore Anbey/Killary Sheep Farm & the other day we toured Galway (20 min).

The carpet was a little dated and a slight odor but the location, view and quiet made up for that. We just opened the windows so there was airflow.

Our second time back! We love it here. Location is perfect with a quiet private beach just minutes away. We had the sea view room which was an added touch as the views were lovely of the sea. The room itself was well equipped with ironing board/ hair dryer and plenty of towels which was super helpful. Second time back eating at the restaurant. The staff are always friendly and we can’t fault the restaurant, food has been excellent every time we’ve gone and caters really for children. Our girls are 5 and 7 and loved their meals! We love it here and have made it part of a family tradition to always come back here. Thank you guys!

Couldn’t fault anything

We liked the location. The proximity to a lovely beach, and to Galway city. It was our second time staying there. We were very lucky with the weather both times. Our room was clean, and had everything we wanted. The breakfast was very nice each morning, and we had dinner on the first evening. The dinner was great too. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again. The photographs I've shared with this review, were taken from behind Padraicin's, overlooking Galway Bay.

The location by the sea is beautiful. The rooms were clean and tidy and quite well isolated for irish standards. The staff at the restaurant (which doubles as hotel staff) was very helpful.

Breakfast started rather late, so we had to skip it since we wanted to hit the road early to beat out the crowds. We booked a room with sea view, which was a bit disappointing. Yes we were able to see the sea, but mainly you saw the window of another hotel room. So if you didn't want to be watched by other guests you have to close the curtains which makes the sea view pointless. This could be fixed easily by installing some privacy panels - that way I can't see them and they can't see me. It also would not obstruct the sea view.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.. vety chatty and cheerful with beautiful smiles which is wonderful to see...sadly missing in a lot of places..great location....breakfast was brillant, had beautiful fish and chips....was disappointed no fish platter as I had been told it was wonderful

Nowhere to put suitcase in bedroom. Jugs of juice with no labels. As it was raining while I was there ,a canopy from pub ,dinning area to b and b would be a nice addition.

The property is in a great location, beside a beach. The accommodation was upstairs, quiet corridor and spacious bedrooms. A small en-suite with a great power shower. Beautiful white bedding and comfortable mattresses. Good nights sleep. Wonderful breakfast, one of the best we have experienced.

You have to go into the bar to get the keys, this isn’t good during busy times. We went into the restaurant to get they keys, probably should have went to the bar are.

The only small thing was when I was at the bar I asked the bar man could I borrow a pen and he told me there was no pens! Found that strange, I only wanted to write a wedding card. He seems like someone who might not go out of his way to be helpful. I popped around the other side of the bar where I met a lovely waitress who gave me a pen straight away and I write my card and gave the pen straight back to the barman at the bar and asked him to kindly give the pen back to the waitress when she had finished talking to another guest! Small but it was annoying ! It’s the little things!

Padraicins B&B is my new favourite place to stay in Galway. I visit this part of the West almost monthly for the last 30 years and used to stay in the Connemara Coast hotel which I loved. Unfortunately, the hotel is not what ot used to be. So happy that I have found an even better alternative in terms of location, views, friendly service and unparalled breakfast which is served to order rather than a tasteless, plastic buffet. I cannot recommend Padraicins highly enough for the ideal example of Irish hospitality.
