This was my first time solo travelling in a hostel. The staff were absolutely amazing and very welcoming, I paid €8 for breakfast each day and it was lovely and made fresh daily, the staff greeted you as soon as you came for breakfast and offered tea or coffee which they then brought to the table you were sat at, there was a good range of food, fruit juice and water available as well. There was tea, coffee, juice and water available all day between 7am and midnight, the reception desk was manned 24/7. They have a lovely outdoor seating area which was great to sit at in the sun. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the bus stop which then takes you into the city centre. WiFi was available. In my room it was a 6 bed female room which was great and it had an en-suite shower room. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone it was so lovely.

The only bad thing is the WiFi was very intermittent in the room but this was to be expected as the room was at the top of the accommodation but the WiFi worked perfectly everywhere else

The chill area was really fancy and cozy even though when I was there not so many people were hanging out there. The rooms were also really comfortable. I also loved the location it‘s directly Next to the beach it was so beautiful there.

I had the feeling it was not so easy to connect to people there but maybe it was just me. I would definitely recommend to get a QR code for a whatsapp group chat for the people who are staying there who wants to connect especially if people are travelling alone but also in general it‘s just nice to have. The only bad thing was the water from the tab tasted moldy even though they had a Filter but I also had this in other hostels in Galway.

The place was cosy, with tasteful art everywhere and gorgeous design and furniture, between industrial and pop art-ish. The rooms were comfy and the bathrooms very clean. The staff was very kind. The price was relatively cheaper than surrounding hotels, and although it wasn’t as central it was worth the walk and the area was beautiful. It was right next to a beautiful trad pub, touristy yet still spacious and with great music on the night I came! I would absolutely recommend this hostel, it’s by far the nicest i have been to. Also, the linens were good quality and the beds really comfortable.

Maybe that breakfast wasn’t included but still wasn’t too expensive so it was still worth it.

Nest is a wonderful reimagining of a hostel, it has double rooms as well as the usual dormitories. The communal area is probably unique and requires a bit of explaining, there is a small café on site, offering coffee and cakes etc, then there is a large, bright seating area and a terrace outside, there is also a commercial sized kitchen and fridges for you to store and cook your own food if you so wish. The seating areas are available for use if you have a takeaway, all crockery and cutlery is available in the kitchen, just make sure you wash it up and put it away again. The kitchen has an endless supply of free tea and coffee, various types of milk and waters. The room was cozy, ground floor with parking right outside, no lugging of heavy cases up any stairs, key card access and an epic shower with the ability to sandblast the most weary of travellers. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and welcoming. Free WiFi throughout. No TV but that was quite pleasant actually and everyone has a phone or iPad these days so we didn't miss having one. Nest's location in Salthill is excellent, buses stop right outside and it is €1.80 to get into Galway. Salthill is very nice, lovely prom, chemists, convenience stores, restaurants, takeaways, cafés, pubs, bars, aquarium and a cinema.......and a couple of amusement arcades if that's your thing. I was impressed by the broad demographic of Nest's guests, young, old, families etc. it's a great place in a great location.

Nothing, it was absolutely brilliant.

Very friendly staff, super helpful and kind. The structure is new. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. There are curtains to protect privacy. There is a kitchen with tea, coffee, water and all the equipment for cooking. All in all I would say that is is definitely above average for a hostel. From the coach station it is a 35 minute walk with some great view.

The room wasn't very clean (loads of dust under the bed), also it was quite noisy during the night because of the traffic. Unfortunately my roommates were very disrespectful, so I couldn't really sleep. But that's not the hostel's fault, of course. Sleeping on the top bunk, I would have appreciated a shelf to keep glasses, phone, water...even a small one would have been useful.

Loved the location as it was near Salthill and the esplanades. Also close to restaurants in Salthill. The bus was outside to take us into Galway City Central. The property was okay. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Thank you to all of them.

Our room was at the front over the car park, so it was very noisy at times. People arriving back late talking and shouting. Traffic from the road, the bin trucks and linen trucks. And we were also near the stairs so we heard everyone coming back to their rooms. But we were only there a few nights so it was bearable.

Place was clean and the decor was stylish. The staff were absolutely wonderful and were helpful at every turn. Even though we didn't have the opportunity to use it, having the full kitchen available was fantastic. Also, the location was perfect for the sites we were interested in (we took did the Aran Island and Cliffs of Mohr guided tour that departed from the harbor just a short ride share from the hostel.

On site parking was somewhat limited, and the available free street parking was not always easy to find. We were lucky that a guest was leaving the morning after we arrived, and we were able to grab one of the few spots in front of the hostel. Then we didn't use the car the rest of our stay because we did ride share.

There is a lift! Room and bathroom were spacious. Bed was large and comfortable. Kitchen facilities were good but we didn’t use them apart from hot water for early morning tea. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Car parking right outside. Walking distance of Galway, we walked in and out for a meal, about 20 minutes and lovely walk back following the line of the bay. Close to local restaurants for breakfast or dinner. Good room key activated security.

We were only given two bath sized towels and no hand towels. Not sure if that was a mistake. If you are tall (we are not) our room was in the roof so restricted height at the sides.

It's big, spacious room, with the bathroom set up for guests with disabilities. The whole hostel is lovely decorated. For us the location was good, very close to the ocean and maybe 30 min walking to the center of Galway (if you take the sea walking route). The breakfast wasn't outstanding, but doable for 8E/person.

Not enough air in the attic bedroom and no AC to help it. Very noisy from outside, traffic, people walking, we couldn't rest properly. Not enough parking spaces in front of the property, but we were told where to park nearby and it was ok.

The short distance to travel, the vicinity to the ocean, the staff ( very professional and attention to customers, very helpful). Breakfast was extra great and really good,! The bedding was very comfy and cosy and staff was extraordinarily great & very helpful and professional. I bet there is no other great place around like this.... such a uniquely great place to be!.....no competitors WHATSOEVER!! The Nest Boutique Hostel is the Best around!!!! It's the ONE & ONLY ONE TO BE, MUCH BETTER THAN HOME AWAY FROM HOME! WILL DEFINITELY BE HERE AS MYCH AS I CAN....JUST BY THE OCEAN THAT PROVIDES FRESH AIR AND MUCH MORE....SOO UNIQUE & BEAUTIFUL! A BEAUTY & COMFORT TO INDULGE IN.......STAFF , FACILITIES, FOOD ETC TO ENJOY. WITHOUT BREKING THE BANK..SOOOOO UNIQUE! & WORTH THE EXPERENCE!!!

Nothing at all.....everything was just EXTRAORDINARILY PERFECT!!! WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK, OVER & OVER AGAIN...THANK YOU NEST BOUTIQUE HOSTEL FOR THIS EXTRAORDINARY EXPERUENCE !!!!
