This was my first time solo travelling in a hostel. The staff were absolutely amazing and very welcoming, I paid €8 for breakfast each day and it was lovely and made fresh daily, the staff greeted you as soon as you came for breakfast and offered tea or coffee which they then brought to the table you were sat at, there was a good range of food, fruit juice and water available as well. There was tea, coffee, juice and water available all day between 7am and midnight, the reception desk was manned 24/7. They have a lovely outdoor seating area which was great to sit at in the sun. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the bus stop which then takes you into the city centre. WiFi was available. In my room it was a 6 bed female room which was great and it had an en-suite shower room. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone it was so lovely.

The only bad thing is the WiFi was very intermittent in the room but this was to be expected as the room was at the top of the accommodation but the WiFi worked perfectly everywhere else

Place was clean and the decor was stylish. The staff were absolutely wonderful and were helpful at every turn. Even though we didn't have the opportunity to use it, having the full kitchen available was fantastic. Also, the location was perfect for the sites we were interested in (we took did the Aran Island and Cliffs of Mohr guided tour that departed from the harbor just a short ride share from the hostel.

On site parking was somewhat limited, and the available free street parking was not always easy to find. We were lucky that a guest was leaving the morning after we arrived, and we were able to grab one of the few spots in front of the hostel. Then we didn't use the car the rest of our stay because we did ride share.

The short distance to travel, the vicinity to the ocean, the staff ( very professional and attention to customers, very helpful). Breakfast was extra great and really good,! The bedding was very comfy and cosy and staff was extraordinarily great & very helpful and professional. I bet there is no other great place around like this.... such a uniquely great place to be!.....no competitors WHATSOEVER!! The Nest Boutique Hostel is the Best around!!!! It's the ONE & ONLY ONE TO BE, MUCH BETTER THAN HOME AWAY FROM HOME! WILL DEFINITELY BE HERE AS MYCH AS I CAN....JUST BY THE OCEAN THAT PROVIDES FRESH AIR AND MUCH MORE....SOO UNIQUE & BEAUTIFUL! A BEAUTY & COMFORT TO INDULGE IN.......STAFF , FACILITIES, FOOD ETC TO ENJOY. WITHOUT BREKING THE BANK..SOOOOO UNIQUE! & WORTH THE EXPERENCE!!!

Cute spot, great spaces for working and thoughtful free add-ons such as water and tea in the common area downstairs. Close enough to take a stroll into downtown or also some of the coffee shops and pubs closer to Salthill.

One of the main reasons we chose this property was the listed on-site parking. They did not tell us this early on, but the parking is first come, first served. There are only 4-5 spaces for cars and one additional accessible spot. They filled up quickly and when we got back from town that night and asked the woman at the front desk for advice on where we could go to park, she was very snippy with us. It would be helpful to let guests know parking is not guaranteed and have options displayed for where else to find parking if not in the hotel’s 4 spaces.

We absolutely loved the hotel! The architecture and rooms are so cute and the living room space is cozy and stylish at the same time. Breakfast was good (great value for money) and the location between the sea and the city was perfect for us. There are several restaurants and pubs around the hotel, so you don't need to go to the city for that.

There are only a handful of parking spaces in front of the hotel, so one night we had to park in a public car park. As it was just around the corner, it wasn't much of a downside.

Staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. The shared kitchen is a wide open space to use, and was not at all cramped at any point. The rest area where you can grab a beverage, chat with others, was quiet with a radio playing chilled songs. There was information/guidance regarding things to do in Galway, I.e. best pubs to go to, what's on etc Room had all what was needed, mini fridge was a bonus. Access to Galway centre, is literally a 1 minute walk from the door to the bus stop. 1 euro 90 to be exact. Sometimes we had a driver who let us on for free! The best pub by far in my eyes was O'Connor's bar, located on the same side as the hostel, left towards upper-salthill road. This serves the best Guinness I've ever had, and Murphy's if you're interested. Live entertainment was great too.

I tried a hostel for the first time and it was actually a lot better than I expected. The two staff I met on the two days were so friendly and helpful. A kitchen facility for cooking, free tea and coffee throughout the day and the location is perfect, in walking distance to Galway and 2 minute walk to the beach on Salthill.

I checked out 2 days early and couldn’t get refunded, little bit of a waste. Also I should have requested the bottom bunk, the person underneath me smelled so bad, he smelled so bad that I literally could not sleep from the absolutely stink off him, felt like all my clothes would have that stinch if I didn’t leave the hostel straight away. No fault of the hostel though, just very annoying. I don’t think I could stay at a hostel again but great experience.

A comfy hostel, directly at the coast. It came with everything you need, including a spacious kitchen and a cozy lobby to hang out and read. The beds were unexpectedly comfy and even had curtains (they didn't on the pictures). The hostel offered towels and other necessities. If you had any questions the staff was happy to help you out. On top of that they had great recommendations regarding activities in and around Galway.

No big lockers in the room. If you come with a huge bag there are only a few lockers in the lobby downstairs.

Loved my stay here, so friendly and helpful, great facilities. The kitchen was great, I was able to self cater quite a bit to help costs. My dorm room was clean, well set out, own bathroom for the 6 guests. Very good shower, modern and clean, new hand towels supplied each day in bathroom. The cafe and social area were relaxing places to be. I had the breakfast in house the first morning, which was a great start while finding my feet. Great grocery store over the road, treat yourself but still spend less than meals out every day. I was also able to get some washing done. Salthill is a great location, in walking distance to Latin Quarter and Galway centre.

Everything was great, no complaints

Friendly staff, clean and quiet private room, nice kitchen and cafe, ample luggage storage, delicious chai tea. Recommend opting in for their breakfast options the day before to save some money if eating on site. The staff were very accommodating, letting us store our luggage before check in and helping us call our tour bus. The beds, like most of the places we stayed in Ireland, aren't soft, but we still slept soundly.

It's a good location if you're wanting to vacation in Sand Hill, but if spending time in the city center, it's too far. Buses weren't on time in Galway, so sometimes we just walked the half an hour in from town.
