Rooms lovely & comfortable

1. No one informed us of the flexi card for parking multiple nights. 2. Some of the beers were not available on tap it was out of stock. And this was a Friday evening before the weekend even started. 3. Breakfast area a bid hectic. We weren’t early or late to breakfast but there didn’t seem to be enough of anything granola, mushrooms etc. Also the Electricial wall - power went out one morning so we could not get coffee. We waited to see if be restored but it didn’t. 4. Would also like Earl Grey Tea in the rooms which is standard in every other hotels. Overall our stay was lovely & staff were pleasant.

Location was great. Within walking distance of all the best places in Galway. Breakfast was very good. Extra touches in the room were very nice - boxed candies, complimentary prosecco and dessert.

The parking garage is a nightmare. It is so tight making the turns from one level to the next - we had to have someone get out of the car to make sure we would clear the wall each time. One poor driver hit the wall and got the car stuck on the ramp. You can tell from all the paint scrapes on the walls that this happens regularly.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The beds were so comfortable! The extra touches in the room were incredible and much appreciated. The view of the courtyard over the river was so nice. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to great restaurants, bars, shops, etc. We also appreciated the air conditioning even though it was not hot in June but muggy with rain, it really helped to be able to sleep in a cool and dry location. The staff were lovely. We will definitely look for Leonardo Hotels in the future.

This is more of a heads up if you are arriving via car and need to find parking. The Spanish Arch parking is a very tight parking ramp. If you have a bigger or unfamiliar vehicle and/or not use to driving in small spaces, find another option. The other option the hotel gives you (@ Hynes Yard) was a better fit for us to make sure we did not scrape the car or get stuck. It is only a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Other than figuring out parking, everything was perfect!

The location was great, right next to the Spanish Arch area. The staff was very accommodating- we had an early tour and we love our coffee - they offered us access to the coffee machine at the same time as staff so we could use coffee to wake up, and then come down later to grab something from the buffet and go.

The toilet seat was loose, which makes for some unsettling moments. It would have been great if any of the booking communications or website described where to park. We drove by the hotel 5 times looking for the parking structure found on google maps, without being sure it was THE one we should park at. It was, just lucky.

Breakfast was very good, self service and good hot food selection. The staff member couldn’t find my name on the breakfast guest list and was not a problem as it was sorted very professionally. The location to the city with the car park next door makes this hotel a real treasure. Good discount given on adjacent car park.

Hotel going through a refurb at the moment so looks a little tired in some areas. Hotel rates were much cheaper when booked through an online agent. Spanish Arch car park, whilst not owned by the hotel, is very tight, But very convenient!

Gracious Friendliness of Receptionist. Julia was exceptionally helpful. Beautiful upgraded room. Nice extras such as Butler's Chocolates, Water, and Kitkat in fridge; Electric Kettle a must for me when traveling. ability to store luggage before check in and after check out. All exceptional treatment. And to top it all off, Location is excellent for Theatre, Shopping, Dining and Sight Seeing. I highly recommend this Leonardos and look forward already to my next visit.

I could not improve on my experience of my stay but maybe furniture could be arranged in bar area to be a little cosier, creating a more intimate ambience.

Location was excellent - everything shopping, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. We got a complimentary upgrade as it was my husband's birthday as well as complimentary chocolates which was a really thoughtful touch. The room was well equipped with everything we needed, so there really isn't anything to complain about. The mini fridge was great to keep milk cold as I don't like the hotel long life milk. Breakfast did not disappoint either as there was and excellent variety of hot and cold food. We had dinner in the hotel bar on both nights. The beef and Guinness stew was the best I've tasted. I would definitely stay again.

The room was a bit snug, but it was well equipped with everything we needed, so there really isn't anything to complain about.

This hotel is perfectly situated for much of what Galway has to offer. Located along the Corrib River and at the doorway to the Latin Quarter, the Leonardo offers everything you could want. You are steps away from the all of the main food options and entertainment venues this wonderful city has to offer. Our room was huge, had a beautiful view of the river and the river walk. Everything was comfortable and top of the line. We would definitely stay here again.

The parking is limited, and European tight (though even a French couple who pulled in at the same time we did commented that the parking spots were "tight"), but it is what it is. It did not change our feelings of the stay at all.

We had a comfortable room with a small refrigerator and a lovely view of the rushing River Corrib. Breakfast was available for an extra charge that was discounted to 13 euros if you paid a day in advance. I am a gluten-free vegan, so I brought my own granola and oat milk, purchased at a Tesco an 8-minute walk away, to eat in the dining room while my husband had the breakfast buffet. The location was ideal! It was across the street from the Spanish Arch, the free Galway City Museum, and the Long Walk. It was also just around the corner from the shops and restaurants of the Latin Quarter and an easy walk to the Cathedral where we enjoyed a Mozart concert one evening. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

It was all good! I like to have a full kitchen when I travel, but that was hard to find in Galway, so this hotel was the best option.

Loved the little details, like cookies, tea, coffee in room as well as a refrigerator with sparkling water, KitKats, and Coke Zero. Breakfast every morning was spot on. Coffee machine for espresso, cappuccino, americano, mocha, etc…Hot foods, fresh breads, yogurt, fruit. All fresh and delicious. We loved that our room had a view of the river. The location is steps away to shops and restaurants. We liked the hotel bar/restaurant and that you could eat at the outside patio when the weather was nice. Also close walk to the path along the ocean.
