Rooms lovely & comfortable
1. No one informed us of the flexi card for parking multiple nights. 2. Some of the beers were not available on tap it was out of stock. And this was a Friday evening before the weekend even started. 3. Breakfast area a bid hectic. We weren’t early or late to breakfast but there didn’t seem to be enough of anything granola, mushrooms etc. Also the Electricial wall - power went out one morning so we could not get coffee. We waited to see if be restored but it didn’t. 4. Would also like Earl Grey Tea in the rooms which is standard in every other hotels. Overall our stay was lovely & staff were pleasant.

Breakfast was very good, self service and good hot food selection. The staff member couldn’t find my name on the breakfast guest list and was not a problem as it was sorted very professionally. The location to the city with the car park next door makes this hotel a real treasure. Good discount given on adjacent car park.
Hotel going through a refurb at the moment so looks a little tired in some areas. Hotel rates were much cheaper when booked through an online agent. Spanish Arch car park, whilst not owned by the hotel, is very tight, But very convenient!

We had a comfortable room with a small refrigerator and a lovely view of the rushing River Corrib. Breakfast was available for an extra charge that was discounted to 13 euros if you paid a day in advance. I am a gluten-free vegan, so I brought my own granola and oat milk, purchased at a Tesco an 8-minute walk away, to eat in the dining room while my husband had the breakfast buffet. The location was ideal! It was across the street from the Spanish Arch, the free Galway City Museum, and the Long Walk. It was also just around the corner from the shops and restaurants of the Latin Quarter and an easy walk to the Cathedral where we enjoyed a Mozart concert one evening. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
It was all good! I like to have a full kitchen when I travel, but that was hard to find in Galway, so this hotel was the best option.

Excellent old town location. Quiet room with nice view of riverfront. Good roomy shower. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. The staff held our luggage until we needed it later in the day. Their is a free city museum very close by, excellent activity for an indoor locale activity.
We were two persons with a queen and single bed. We would have preferred two twin beds as the room size was pretty cramped with all of the furnishings. I'm not sure why hotels still have large desks; is anyone using them? Just more room for luggage would have been better. Our bathroom smelled like sewage the second day; the staff did remedy the situation the same day.

Location is fabulous but the staff are what made the Leonardo Hotel Galway exceptional. I organised this trip as part of my partner’s 50th Birthday and to attend the wonderful Tonnta Festival. Not only were we upgraded, the lovely manager Igor organised a lovely birthday surprise in the room. Nothing was too much trouble for Igor or his wonderful team of staff. From check in to checking out the staff were friendly , warm, professional and made us feel so welcome. Our room was lovely and spotless overlooking the river, thank you Igor and the reservation team! The breakfast was plentiful and lovely and the staff were so calm and warm even on a busy hectic Sunday morning, making sure there was plenty of breakfast for even the latest arrival. I can’t acknowledge the staff enough and Una was delightful on check out. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome !!
It’s a popular hotel for Hens weekends and you can hear everyone and everything on the corridor but it didn’t bother us too much.

Great location and great value.
When we first arrived I found the receptionist was a bit short with us checking in. Didn’t explain much and when I asked questions about breakfast hours and more information- she seemed annoyed that I asked. Thankfully the next day after arrival the receptionists were friendly. One other thing I didn’t like or wasn’t aware was that the phones in the rooms don’t work when you hit button for front desk. I needed toilet paper and kept trying to call and the phone/front desk buttons didn’t work. I had to walk downstairs and was told that you had to dial 0. Which I didn’t think of or told to call. Aside from this minor experience everything was excellent. We had breakfast everyday, tried the bar and the food there too was great. We had a great comfortable trip. Would definitely recommend.

on the Monday morning staff were very slow supplying breakfast food.At one point there were no scrambled eggs mushrooms black or white pudding and finally no bread whatsoever. when I complained about the bread on 2 occasions I still had to wait 10 more minutes. As I have type 1 diabetes (which I explained to the manager ) this was placing me in a precarious situation. My rating should have been excellent in every aspect ot the hotel especially staff. My wife is also in remission of cancer which we were celebrating st your hotel9

The hotel is slightly off the beaten path but still very central, which was a big plus. The hotel room and some of the furnishings are definitely a few years old, and there was some wear and tear on certain items, but overall, the impression was still fresh, and the room was a good size. The price for the room was ridiculously good, and I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to save on accommodation costs and spend more on Guinness instead.
The receptionists were rather brief: I didn’t receive much information about the hotel or its amenities, and they gave off a slightly tired impression to me as a guest. The bed was a bit too short for me, with my feet sticking out – this may not be an issue for everyone, but it's worth noting for anyone taller than 185 cm.

The beds were so, SO comfy. We usually fight for space on our bed and, inevitably, push eachother off the edge. But that wasn't a problem at all with our bed at Leonardo Hotel. The mattress was like a soft, fluffy cloud that molded our bodies perfectly. Went to sleep in a little under a minute, no joke. The location was very central to the City and had great access to Eyre Square for the Christmas Market (which was our reason for our stay here). The view from the window of our 2nd floor room was pretty. A photo is attached of the view when we woke up in the morning. The shower was breathtaking. They have Rain Shower heads, which are my favourite and are directly overhead and (you guessed it...) rain down on you. Simply divine.

Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful and we were greeted with champagne upon arrival. Room was comfortable and had a nice view of river.
Parking garage was scary!! We had midsize car, but the narrow width of the ramps and turn space made it very difficult to get up to the next level. It took us backing up several times to reposition in order to make the turn up the ramp. We had to go up four floors to find a spot and very stressful. This is the first time driving in Ireland. Can’t imagine anyone with a large car, or SUV, or truck being able to park here. Wish there was another option, or valet parking, as this hotel is a perfect location. Breakfast was only fair.
