The hotel really leans into its name as the "snug" townhouse so the rooms are quite small. Though, I was very impressed in how they used the room and honestly was good for 1-2 people. We stayed in the superior room, which had a slightly lofted bed to allow for luggage storage underneath, a decently spaced vanity, small open closet, and good sized bathroom. Well designed room. The location is fantastic for those who love being right in the middle of things. We loved being able to go downstairs and be in the middle of the happenings of Quay St and also happy to be close enough to visit the room throughout the day in case we needed to rest or change. It was also a quick five minute walk from Ceantt Station as we came in from Dublin. I would say this hotel good for people who like being in the heart of the town and don't mind a small space. It wouldn't be good for someone who sleeps light as bars are open late right below (they do provide earplugs though) or anyone who needs a more accessible space (it's a lot of narrow stairs and there's no elevator/lift). If we're ever in Galway again, we would definitely stay here again.

Amazing little room in the PERFECT spot! Honestly you couldn't find a better location to stay if you want to be near the hussle and bustle, which is the draw card of Galway anyways! Room was small but great sized for two people. There was a TV and the other amenities were great too, shower was perfect. It also wasn't very loud at night even though you're in the heart of the town. There is a car park right next door that you can get a discounted rate for, this was really helpful.

It wasn't a problem for us but it's worth noting there was no lift for luggage, so we had to carry our suitcases to the top floor. However, there may be other options for those with mobility issues - staff helping etc :)

Our room was super cute, definitely SNUG but was all we needed to be comfortable for our couple night stay in Galway! Literally, the most perfect location in the middle of it all or close enough! While you’re there, you have got to go to Taffes and The Quays(pronounced The Keys) for some good Trad music and fun!!! Galway stole our hearts! The staff is super helpful with any advice you may need. Also, if you love coffee, walk out of the Snug townhouse and go down this little alley to the left of the Quays and there is a cute little coffee spot right there that opens early. Enjoy!

No complaints!

The location is perfect, right where you want to be and couldn't be more central. The room is very small but it has all you need and all the comfort you need too, if you're used to travel light and living in small spaces, this will not phase you at all, you'll probably love it even more fore it!

There were some finishings that felt a bit undone, like a whole in the bathroom wall where a hook must've been, the toilet paper holder was crooked and loose, the mattress wasn't super comfortable, my travel adapters didn't work properly on the wall plugs cause the button was too close to the outlet itself and there is no elevator.

The location was ideal and was in walking distance of everything. We were right in the centre of the main street, which had many different place to go for food. You are within 10 min walk to the train station and 25 min walk to Salthill. The price you pay is good for what the rooms are, the rooms wouldn't be great for a longer stay then a few days, as they are quite small if you plan to spend some time in them. The rooms were snug as expected by the images and name. The staff couldn't have been nicer and went above and beyond, which was great. The noise of the streets that other people had mentioned could not be heard were our room was, you couldn't here any of the outside noise unless you opened the vent on the window or the window it's self.

We liked every part of our stay so don't have much at all to say for the what we didn't like. Everything was great and we couldn't find any issues. Other than we wouldn't recommend this place to older people or people who have mobility issues or injury as you have to climb into the bed from the end of it by stepping up onto the end of it as the bed was inclosed by walls all around it other than the end of the bed.

I asked for a room possibly on the lowest floor and my request was granted, for which I am very grateful. The bathroom was comfortable, so was the bed, there was a kettle in the room which was helpful. My room was away from the front door so I didn't experience any noise given that the hotel is located right in the city centre. And then there's the location - the main street from where it's close to everywhere. Very friendly staff, if my fortunes ever change in Galway I will definitely be back. The room was very clean and the staff changed towels and tidied up every day.

A small discomfort was the lack of a fridge and a small table.

Room was actually larger than we were expecting with a small sitting area which was great for luggage. Tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and well equipped. 24hr reception and easy check in. Location right in the heart of the action, great if you are just visiting for the one night!

Efforts had been made to make space for hanging things (wet towels etc) but more would have been appreciated. No windows (fine for just a night). Some noise from a nearby bar through the wall, earplugs were provided which was thoughtful, again, fine for a night and didn't stop us sleeping, but worth noting if you are a light sleeper.

A very central location. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all really nice and helpful. Extremely comfortable bed, good shower. While the room was tiny, it did have several areas to store things.

The room was very small! I don't know if this is the norm for Galway. It was a very nice room, but the size bordered on hostel size. Would have liked a few more hooks to hang items in the room and the bathroom (there were several hooks, but with a room this size, would like more). As other reviews mentioned, there was a lot of sound coming from neighboring businesses (i.e., bars/pubs). Our room was apparently one of the quieter ones and we really could only hear faint thumping from club music. It all stopped at 2am and was very quiet after that.

We saw a few pictures and videos of the rooms prior to arriving. They looked small, or snug(lol), but when we got into our room it was bigger than we expected. Which was really nice. The shower was amazing, and having a wrap around couch against the wall was pretty cool. There is room under the bed to fit your luggage if you are traveling heavy. The location was great because there is so much food, and places to drink that are right outside the hotel. Perfect for a stumble back to your room after a few pints of Guinness.

The Location is really good! Direct in the Center. We had a problem with a loud noise in our room from an air condition but the reception reacted immediately and switched our room that was a blessing for us. The receptionists are extremely friendly and helped us. The rooms are near the bars and you can hear the party people but the rooms are really quiet for the loud party’s outside. We got a benefit for parking we payed 36€ for 3 days.
