Overall this is a great little hotel in the heart of Gallaway! The room is a little small for two people, but it felt cozy and quaint. Staff was very pleasant- had a nice conversation with the young man working there from Brazil. Breakfast was a good assortment of tea, coffee, juices, milk, fruits, cheeses, breads, meats, yogurt and cereal served every morning. The room and bathroom were clean and staff straightened up and brought fresh towels everyday. You can't beat it for the location and price with breakfast included. If you don't have very high expectations this place is wonderful.

Nothing.

This hotel is right in the middle of Galway's Latin Quarter so lots of pubs, restaurants, cafés and shopping right on your doorstep. Our room was nonetheless surprisingly quiet given how busy the street was on a holiday weekend. A great starting point for discovering the city. Breakfast was included, a satisfying self-serve buffet offering fresh fruit, boiled eggs, cold meat, yoghurts, cereals, tea/coffee, toast etc. The car park nearby gave us a discount for overnight parking. It was entertaining to discover that in the course of the building's seven-hundred year history, it had been a brothel at one point, and a convent at another point.

Narrow stairs, no lift, I had a heavy bag so that was a bit awkward, fortunately one of the staff carried my suitcase up to my top-floor room for me.

It was amazing. We always stay at this hotel. Our room’s view was so nice and we were in the middle of everything. We felt great staying at this room 700 years old room. We’ve made history. There was noise which it is understandable we are in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Loved the music every day. Staff Maricella and Fernagda were wonderful!

No, I loved everything about it including the wonderful staff and breakfast. Some people don’t like the noise and the staff are so wonderful, just let them know in advance and they will put you at the other side of building.

Location is in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Lots of action. Loud at night but the hotel provided ear plugs and with the window and shade closed I slept fine. It's the perfect place to be, especially if you have one or two nights to visit because everything is right outside the front door. Literally, the bar across the way is called The Front Door. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Set us up with tea and a snack until our room was ready. It's a historic place with an informative little book in the kitchen.

For us, everything was exactly what we needed,

Hazel, the proprietess, was very welcoming and we enjoyed getting to know her. The rest of the staff was also friendly. The daily breakfast was ample and delicious. We didn't miss having a warm breakfast. The location was perfect for anyone enjoying the bustling activity of the Latin Quarter. Ear plugs were provided and there were noise blocking windows. We brought our own personal black out sleep masks as well. The history of the building was fascinating and we really enjoyed becoming a part of that.

We liked everything. The rooms are small. But, we barely spent time there. We had enough room for what we needed.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Superb location right in the centre next to great bars and restaurants. The staff were helpful and polite and although the rooms are small they are comfortable enough. Breakfast was included and had a good variety to suit most people.

Not a problem for us but the hotel is next to several bars, which you can hear despite the double windows so if you are looking for peace and tranquility and are not interested in the night life then be prepared.

The location is perfect. It's right in the heart of the city, literally. The hotel had told us that there might be noise from the street, and provide ear plugs for guests. But, honestly, we heard nothing, even though there were very busy pubs all round. There are double-double glazed windows, which blocked out any unwanted noise. Breakfast was gorgeous, and our stay was good value. While rooms are fairly small, space is well used, and the location more than makes up for it. Would definitely recommend.

Fab location, clean, lovely continental breakfast with fresh fruit, cheese, meats, fruit juices, toast, scones, different breads, as much tea and coffee as you like, and the staff are really friendly . Very central, right in the middle of everything that is going on , bars and restaurants within a minute walk . We felt very safe despite being in the middle of the city , and have booked again for next year

Stairs, stairs stairs. This property is not for the disabled or infirm, no lift and the stairs are STEEP. Yes, there is some noise from the street outside, but closed windows should solve that issue, we had no trouble getting to sleep, ear plugs provided were not necessary.

The location couldn't be beat. There was a lot of history about the building. Fabulous pubs, next door was Busker Browns, and The Front Door, across the street. The staff was nice to talk with, two young ladies from Brazil. Great ductless system in each room. Thanks for the ear plugs, they were good and appreciated. Breakfast was nice but the room could only accommodate 8 people.

They advertised that there were memory foam beds and this is absolutely NOT the case. I brought this up with them and said it was part of the reason that we booked there. I showed the reception gal what is advertised on booking.com. This needs to be corrected because it is false advertising. After 6 previous nights in firm beds, I was looking forward to these 3 nights. There was no explanation for this given to us. No wash cloths.

This little hotel was great - we prefer small, personal hotels like this to big chains. The location was perfect for exploring Galway City. It was easy to walk everywhere around the city, and many great restaurants and bars were very close by. Our room was a good size, not huge, but very comfortable. At night, we did hear music and a little noise from the street below, but it wasn't too loud. The breakfast was really good - not a cooked breakfast, but lots of choice from croissants, toast, meats, cheese, toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, and other cereals. Hazel, the manager, was very kind and helpful, and gave us several good recommendations for bars with Irish music, and good restaurants. Other staff were also very friendly.

We weren't able to have breakfast one morning because there wasn't enough room, but we didn't mind going to a nearby coffee shop just around the corner - Bridie Murphy's. Perhaps scheduling breakfast times with guests might help this situation.
