Maeve and Gerry were the perfect hosts, so relaxed, friendly and helpful. Our spacious en-suite room had a comfy King-size bed, was clean, bright and had lovely views of the garden. Fresh, plentiful, tasty, Continental breakfast served 7am to 10am set us up for the day. Parking on site. Village within 10 min walk, had pub, some shops, cafe and a resteraunt (open Fri,Sat,Sun) Location is 20 mins drive to Galway and 1hr from Cliffs & spectacular beaches and views of County Clare.
This was a perfect stay, lovely hosts, fantastic accomodation, food & weather. We loved every minute.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was just perfect—the place is spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. Maeve and Gerry are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, and they really made us feel at home. Our child loved it too, which made the experience even better. We’d absolutely come back and highly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone visiting the area.
Honestly, everything was great overall. The only small issue was that the hot water ran out at night when I tried to take a shower—likely because others had used it earlier, so the boiler may have needed time to recover. It wasn’t a big deal, and I understand it's not really the hosts' fault.

This is a lovely place perfect for one night. Breakfast continental but plenty of food. The host is a lovely lady and very helpful. Bed very comfortable. There are a couple of pubs walking distance. Be aware that there is no food available in town mon to Thursday. There is a restaurant about 5 min drive away west. Food there was great.
The place has wooden floors so you can hear others. A number of persons turned up late at night and thought it was a good idea to stand in the hall and have a conversation. Not the fault of the host. Once they had gone to there rooms we had a wonderful sleep.

Location was perfect for where we needed to be. We were warmly received by hosts, Gerry and Maeve, and shown to our room with ensuite bathroom. We had a lovely dinner in the village (reservation kindly made by Maeve) and a good night's rest. The continental breakfast in the morning, including fruit juice, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, coffee and freshly baked croissants, was just what we needed for the day ahead.

Mauve, Gerry, and their dog Oscar were fantastic hosts and made our stay memorable and comfortable. Check in was easy, the rooms clean, spacious, and had all the amenities anyone would require. The breakfast was delicious with fresh breads, yogurts, oatmeal/granola, and tea/coffee. Staying at the Doonard Manor and being hosted by such lovely people was a highlight of our honeymoon. We would definitely book again and recommend these lodgings to anyone.
Nothing. I would recommend these accommodations to anyone.

The service, room, breakfast were excellent as well as the hosts. I couldn't recommend this BnB more.
The market is still way too pricey, I understand why family run businesses have to stay inline with the market, but with a cost of living crisis continuing and wages and take home pay effectively going down, it is very costly for one night. That is not a reflection on this BnB,but a reflection of how distorted market prices are.

We received a very warm welcome from Maeve and Gerry. They have a beautiful home and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely room and a delicious continental breakfast each morning. The pubs in the village didn’t serve food the first night, so we drove to another hotel in the next village for dinner. Next night was a short walk into town to a local pub for a very nice meal. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Doonard Manor.
Nothing.

Maeve and her family were excellent. As a solo traveller they made me feel welcome and it felt like a home from home. The location is very peaceful. I got a bus from Galway city and then walked from the bus stop in Craughwell.
The location is rural and if you haven't got a car or can't drive it can be lonely in the evenings. There isn't much if anything to do for solo travellers in Craughwell itself in the evenings

We absolutely loved staying here. Maeve and Gerard made us feel at home with their warm and inviting hospitality. They gave us great recommendations about what to do while in Galway which made some of the best memories we had while we were in town. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was delicious every morning. Great value for money!
Everything was great!

The room, event though towards the street, was quiet. Bathroom, even though shared was tidy and always accessible. The host was very helpful and even lended me an adapter as mine broke!
The shower had the lowest pressure I have ever experienced so I recommend getting this checked! I forgot to mention this to the host.
