It's truly a home away from home. There is a lot of love in this property and there is so many small touches that give a guest the best experience. We just loved Derek and his family and the stories they shared. They offer more to your night away and as it was my first b&b stay , I realise that hotels pale in comparison to the character of what a b&b offer. Seacrest offered authenticity, warmth and a passion for their service.

Derek was an amazing host who welcomed us into his lovely home. He was very accomadating and recommended a variety of places to eat and local activities to do. Breakfast was very tasty and set you up for the rest of your day. Coffee ☕️ was the best we've had on our trip! The room was very cozy, and there was everything you'd need for your stay. The B&B was extremely clean , and Derek takes great pride in making sure everyone feels welcome. You have a wonderful property, and we would fully recommend it to future travelers.

Beautiful yard and comfortable outdoor patio space to hang out in. Delicious breakfast (with a menu of options available); kindly provided breakfast 10 minutes earlier than normal breakfast hours due to our ferry schedule. Very neat and clean home, in a nice neighborhood. Very friendly and informative host.

Bathroom was a bit small, but sufficient.

Derek is the most amazing host - friendly, gregarious, helpful - everything other reviewers have written about him is completely true. The property has a lovely outlook and the garden is delightful. Breakfast is substantial and freshly cooked to order. I actually stayed on two separate occasions, once in a King Room with garden view and once in a twin room with sea view. Both rooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing examples of how much can be fitted into a very small space! There are good dining options in nearby Oranmore if Galway seems too far.

The host was charming and really helpful, and showed us around at the beginning of our stay. He offered the use of the washing line for the handwashing we'd done, and even brought our laundry in when it threatened to rain. The rooms and house were all very fresh and clean, with a beautiful garden. If the tide is in, there is a view of an inlet to the sea from the rear of the house.

The ensuite to one of the bedrooms is across the hallway. It's a small corridor leading to the bedrooms and I didn't encounter anyone during my crossings, but it felt less than private.

Derek's welcome was great, and he was also very helpful and informative. The whole house is well designed, very clean, and furnished to a high standard. I absolutely loved my bedroom. My single bed was extremely comfortable, and I had one of the best sleeps of my four week cycle tour of Ireland. The breakfast was amazing, and there was a wide choice of healthy options to accompany your cereals. For any future holiday in Ireland, I would aim to stay at Seacrest.

No issues whatsoever

Derek was so friendly & welcoming. The house & gardens were lovely. The bed & room were comfortable. We had a spacious bathroom, although it was across the hall. Breakfast was comprehensive & tasty. Good suggestions for dinner options. Lovely to talk with other guests in the beautiful breakfast room. Fresh flowers in the entry & dining room.

The shower head kept rotating, so it was challenging to lather up as you needed to hold the shower. A bit far out of town for dinner.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Seacrest and Derek (the host)! This was my first experience with a B&B in Ireland, and Derek set the bar extremely high. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you’re visiting a friend. Derek and his father are so warm and inviting and eager to accommodate your needs. The Seacrest has beautiful views of the beach, comfortable rooms, and an incredible breakfast menu. Derek has great suggestions for things to do around Galway and restaurants to try during your stay. Derek’s a great conversationalist and wants to make you feel like you’re at home. My mom and I were only at Seacrest for a couple of days, but we were sad to say our good-byes for the next leg of our journey. When you think about a B&B in Ireland, the Seacrest is exactly what you imagine - a beautiful landscape, wonderful breakfast, and an amazing host!

Derek is a wonderful and friendly host. We enjoyed talking with him and glad we got to meet his father, too! The BnB is beautiful inside and out! Our room and bathroom were very clean. We sat at a table in the breakfast area where we could view the beauty outside. Breakfast was fantastic! Chose from a menu the night before and it was cooked to order. Also, a nice selection on the continental bar. Some delicious yogurt! I loved seeing the name Connolly on the plaque outside the door. That's my maiden name. A relative who has done genealogy for our family said Galway county was our area. Wonder if we are related 😊

Our room was very lovely but the bathroom was kind of tight. It is a great use of space to fit in the toilet, sink, and shower stall in a kind of closet type area. Not sure we would have been comfortable with it for multiple days but for our one night stay, it was doable.

This was a quaint home with a view of the shore. Outstanding grounds with gorgeous flowers and meticulously maintained lawn and shrubbery. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and wanting us to have a great experience not only at his home, but in the area, as he had prepared a list of things to do, places to eat and drink etc. The breakfast/dining area was lovely. The service was superb. Breakfast offerings were great.

The only suggestion I would have for travelers is that our room was two single beds and we are very tall. The bathroom was about the size of a cruise ship bathroom, so very small. There was no luggage rack or other place to set our luggage. I am sure that there are other rooms of differing bed sizes and configurations. Our friends had a room with private bath across the hall, which is fine but they get up multiple times a night to use facilities.
