The breakfast was outstanding. The room was large and comfortable. The help we received from the staff was superb - they told us where to go, places to see along the Wild Atlantic Way, and were always polite and friendly. The instructions on how to use the coffee machine were very helpful, and coffee pods were plentiful. The bus to the centre of town was a few steps outside the hotel. The post office, where we changed money, and the Spar grocery store, were a 5 minute walk away.

The view from our window was not nice - a generator, discarded cartons etc. But we had asked for a ground floor room, and were given it. The quilts were a little too heavy.

Very professional and friendly greetings by the reception team. We were made feel so welcome which created a wonderful first impression. We were allocated a beautiful room on the ground floor. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable and the cleaning staff maintained a high level of hygiene throughout our 3 night stay. The only thing we would have appreciated was a mini fridge. As we walked to and from our hotel room all the staff, even those we just passed in the corridor, were smiling and courteous. Breakfast was self service with a varied menu and the quality of the food was good. The evening menu offered a great selection and was good value for money without skimping on quality. The bar and restaurant staff were well trained, polite, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming and we ate in the restaurant every night. The location is well situated for visiting Galway city and the hotel has ample on site parking. Although we were driving there is easy access to a regular bus service. There’s also a nice outdoor seating area which is relaxing to sit in on a warm evening. We enjoyed a wonderful time at Flannery's Hotel and would highly recommend the hotel

We had a a large, clean room with very soft beds and a bath tub as we expected. The most amazing feature was the air conditioner which is unique for Ireland. The hotel staff was very cheerful and helpful, responding promptly to requests and messages. The hotel has a free parking and is located about 8-10 min drive from the downtown Galway and apparently is a walking distance from the beach (although we didn't go there). We didn't have breakfast and didn't taste food in the hotel's restaurant, but there was plenty of people and it is a popular place. Also, the price for one night was decent compared to other hotels in Galway.

We found the prices for hotels in Ireland a bit high, especially if no breakfast included, but this can be explained by the top season. Perhaps booking in advance would be more affordable. But this hotel price was quite reasonable compared to other hotels in Galway.

Very cozy, wonderful staff and great food & bar. Loved the ample parking & near enough the motorway but a direct bus route for city outside. Loved the breakfast in room.

Bathroom (Room 203) was quite dated — the door lock was awkward, the shower basic and tricky to use, and the provided shower gel was poor quality. Bring your own toiletries. Hopefully the bathroom will be updated soon and the 2-in-1 shower gel/shampoo replaced with better products. The current offering felt chemically & dried out hair and skin. The rest of the room was fine & the bathroom is usable but could definitely be improved!!

Hotel had a great location, especially because I attend the college up the road so it’s super convenient. The balcony had really nice views of the surrounding area and the room was very spacious but also had everything just a finger tip away. Ladies at the reception checking in and out, and the caterer were very lovely and conversational which made the place very welcoming.

However one thing I will address is the lady who checked me in for my breakfast I found to be very ignorant, impatient and really gave off a negative vibe to the breakfast area, not the best way to start off your day and maybe this is because it was first time staying and wasn’t familiar with the catering layout. It’s slightly frustrating when visitors make the effort to smile and be fair with staff who work very hard.

Large comfortable room, very clean, most staff friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows the best I have had in 4 weeks traveling.

Unusual and unworkable booking system in bar/restaurant. A reserved sign placed on a table at 3pm for a 7pm reservation and not allowing casual use in the interim is not conducive to good business. One unpleasant bar worker soured our experience, but most were very nice. Was disappointed to find our promised dinner reservation table had been given away to a local patron a few minutes before we arrived for our booking and there was no other suitable table.

My family and I stayed 2 nights which was a good length of time for us. Our room was fresh and clean and had everything we needed. If I was to add anything to the room my preference would have been a mini fridge and a bath. We were allocated a ground floor room which was fine however it was at the very far end. This meant that there were numerous narrow doors to pass through and it wasn’t easy going through them many times with two young kids, our pram and luggage. We had dinner the first night in the bar which was delicious, however the service was slow. We also noticed that others that arrived after us were getting served before us. We had to advise the staff of our long wait. The breakfast was good as they did have some hot food, cereals and breads however I felt there could have been more of a selection. We found all the staff to be welcoming, especially the F&B Manager (sorry I didn’t catch his name!). He went out of his way to be friendly and attentive to my children. :) A nice perk was the free parking. We didn’t use our car during our stay as we took the bus. It was cheap and they ran regularly into the city. The bus stop is conveniently across the road. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Flannery’s Hotel. :)

Our first night in Ireland, in Galway, and wish we’d had more time. We were greeted with very pleasant and helpful reception at the front desk. We arrived a bit early, but they accommodated us and we checked in early. The room and bathroom were immaculate and very well-equipped. The bed was very comfortable. We also had a great experience at the hotel bar and restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We had the buffalo wings which were very yummy and we met a lovely local couple who gave us travel tips and recommendations for the area. They said they come to this hotel bar and restaurant often. We were able to hop on the bus right across the street and ride down to Eyre Square. We had a fabulous time. We both agreed we would def stay at this hotel again in our future.

Very comfortable room clean and warm

Poor shower head ,no bottled water in the room ,I had too look for cards to order breakfast in bed for the next morning, Had steak ordered medium well one half cooked correctly the other half of steak was bloody. The steak was half eaten so dint bother raising issue ,but still was disappointed. On the morning before checkout I got a call asking was i still on the property and to inform me I needed to pay for a bottle of prosecco, they was no need for this call as I was clearly checking out and would settle bill upon leaving .This was my 3 time to stay at this Hotel very disappointed and it was my birthday also.

Everything. This was a booking we made as our original air BnB was cancelled. We were worried it was slightly outside town but we didn’t need to as it was only a 30min walk or 10min in cab. All I can say is thank god our original booking got cancelled as this hotel was just amazing. From the food to the staff to the ambience and the cleanliness, we could not find any fault. It was value for money and would so recommend this hotel. The staff are second to none to make your stay as pleasant and stress free - nothing was too much for them.
