My family and I stayed 2 nights which was a good length of time for us. Our room was fresh and clean and had everything we needed. If I was to add anything to the room my preference would have been a mini fridge and a bath. We were allocated a ground floor room which was fine however it was at the very far end. This meant that there were numerous narrow doors to pass through and it wasn’t easy going through them many times with two young kids, our pram and luggage. We had dinner the first night in the bar which was delicious, however the service was slow. We also noticed that others that arrived after us were getting served before us. We had to advise the staff of our long wait. The breakfast was good as they did have some hot food, cereals and breads however I felt there could have been more of a selection. We found all the staff to be welcoming, especially the F&B Manager (sorry I didn’t catch his name!). He went out of his way to be friendly and attentive to my children. :) A nice perk was the free parking. We didn’t use our car during our stay as we took the bus. It was cheap and they ran regularly into the city. The bus stop is conveniently across the road. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Flannery’s Hotel. :)

Very comfortable room clean and warm

Poor shower head ,no bottled water in the room ,I had too look for cards to order breakfast in bed for the next morning, Had steak ordered medium well one half cooked correctly the other half of steak was bloody. The steak was half eaten so dint bother raising issue ,but still was disappointed. On the morning before checkout I got a call asking was i still on the property and to inform me I needed to pay for a bottle of prosecco, they was no need for this call as I was clearly checking out and would settle bill upon leaving .This was my 3 time to stay at this Hotel very disappointed and it was my birthday also.

Everything. This was a booking we made as our original air BnB was cancelled. We were worried it was slightly outside town but we didn’t need to as it was only a 30min walk or 10min in cab. All I can say is thank god our original booking got cancelled as this hotel was just amazing. From the food to the staff to the ambience and the cleanliness, we could not find any fault. It was value for money and would so recommend this hotel. The staff are second to none to make your stay as pleasant and stress free - nothing was too much for them.

Everything from check in to departure was fabulous. We stayed as we had no power due to the storm. Staff were amazing especially the young lady from Ballybrit, I'm sorry her name escapes me and Sagel in the bar and restaurant, true assets to the hotel! Room decor was fabulous. Walk in shower gorgeous. Everything just amazing, I would highly highly recommend Flannerys Hotel to all visiting. 😀

The second night we stayed my dinner arrived and I had almost finished mine when my husbands arrived. We had to ask a waiter for his dinner. I do think no persons dinner should be brought to a table unless everyone's is almost ready to be served. It was a bad finish to a fabulous stay.

The staff were the best part of this hotel experience, followed closely by the Irish breakfast. Everyone was very kind, and patient with our young children, and really made it an enjoyable trip.

The main downside we had was that there wasn’t a small fridge in the room. Having a child with severe allergies, being able to keep safe food easily accessible would have been a benefit, but definitely wasn’t a make or break situation for us. Oh, and there was only one bell cart but it was broken, so had to take multiple trips to and from the car.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds. Wndow that opened. Good bar food and breakfast.

Bathroom was modern but extremly poorly planned. Only 1 towel bar and at the end of the tub. Toilet paper in an ackward place, taking up space on a wall that would have been a better place for towel bars. Toilet flush hidden behind toilet lid when up. Edge of sink slanted so nothng could be placed there without sliding into sink. Dangerous half door for shower that swung out so that sharp edge was inches from anyone seated on the toilet. Unusually high side to tub which made it almost impossible for a short person to safely get in and out.

Pretty quiet, none of that "loud bar downstairs" nonsense you find in a lot of Ireland hotels. Nice enough staff for the little we asked them. A surprisingly good restaurant, with some vegetarian options. Their breakfast is just so so, kind of the Irish standard, but fine. Clean.

Not much bad to say about the place, except the location is a little inconvenient, not in walking distance of much of interest at all. Which is kind of a problem in Galway, which might have the worst designed road system of anywhere I've ever been (and I've been around the world). And it's a little overpriced, but that is every hotel in Ireland so what can you do. Phantom dripping noises come from the phones in the rooms, which is as odd as it seems. Loud enough to hear from a room away. I recommend unplugging your room phone when you get in there. Has the Irish half-walled shower that is common in their hotels and is annoying and gets water everywhere. Despite these minor things, I would probably stay here again if I came back to Galway.

I arrived at 12 pm and even though check in isn’t until 4pm , my room was ready . Staff were very friendly at check in and check out . The room had a window that opened fully and radiators that could be turned off , so important when hotel rooms are often way too hot . There was a coffee machine in the room which was nice . Also I thought 3 hand towels and 3 bath towels was very generous. The bed was very comfy . There were 3 dressing gowns provided too. The curtain kept the light out very well. It perfectly walkable into town if you’ve comfortable shoes .

There was no extra blanket in the wardrobe . I didn’t need it but it might be handy if the weather was colder . Cleaning staff opened my door without knocking at about 11.55 when 12 o’clock is check out time .

A very comfortable room with a large comfy bed and a newish modern bathroom with a good walk in shower. An added bonus was a bus stop right outside of the hotel which gave easy access into the city centre without having to take the car and finding parking etc. The cost was only €1.90 for a single fare and they also run every 10/15mins - so we’ll worth it.

Although the reception staff were very friendly and helpful we felt that the Bistro staff need more training. Examples to clarify this comment: we waited a long time for our drinks only saying something after we noticed people who sat down after us were given theirs first - it transpired that our drinks went to another table! When our meals arrived we weren’t ask if we wanted any accompaniments, we had to ask for sauces. Nobody came to ask us if everything was ok with our food - a waiter did come and ask us if everything was ok but this was whilst we were still waiting for our food!

Convenient location for visiting places of interest in Co Clare North & The Burren, also Co Galway SouthEast, also for Galway City. Rooms close to restaurant, hotel entrance, and car park; pleasing decor & comfort. Sufficient size of room, comfortable bed, bath, room facilities. Delicious breakfast. Quiet room located at rear of premises; those at the front faced car park & pleasant garden fronting a busy main road,

Rather weak and insufficient liquid soap for bath. No hot air from hair dryer. Coffee machine provided but appeared to function erratically.
