The staff was helpful, and the basic location was good to see Galway and the surrounding area.

I was driving, and the hotel is located in a very busy intersection. It was very tricky to find the correct exit to enter the hotel parking lot.

The bed was amazing so comfortable

People were disrespectful coming in late at night and waking me up and the breakfast is not worth the 17 euro

Located within a twenty minute walk of Eyre Square, free underground parking and with a Spar shop on the ground floor this hotel has all the facilities of a city centre hotel at a much better price. Excellent breakfast in a bright and airy dining room.

Multiple emails from Maldron requesting online check in but with broken links; even the Unsubscribe link was broken. On my way to the hotel I received a text from the Maldron stating "Time is short" and displaying a link, I assumed it was a scam so rang the hotel who told me it was genuine. No explanation given.

Hotel was excellent Very clean and very central to local shops Bedroom was huge,clean bedclothes were crisp white,and towels were also very clean,and plenty. The bedroom had tea/coffee and biscuits And still drinking water was left which was a welcome jester. The room also had a small fridge. Staff were lovely check in very quick and nothing any bother. We had food, and drinks during our stay The staff couldn't do enough, our Son is Disabled and once again staff very helpful. Definitely will come back, slightly out of Galway but to be honest I was glad. Carpark is free for paying guest, and lift takes you straight down so if it's bad weather you are covered. 5 star 🌟 Maldron Definitely worth a visit.

The best thing about the property was the staff. In particular the general manager who placed us in a renovated room and provided free room service as a result of a minor issue with our first room. The beds were great and the food was delicious. Walking distance from the city. Free parking with a convenience store and gas station beside the hotel. The convenience store had fresh bfast options. Would definitely stay here again!

Only downside is that it’s not in the heart of the city. 20 min walk to the city isn’t horrible though and possible to find a parking garage if driving to the city is preferred

The property was clean and comfortable. It was only a short walk to most things, which was handy.

We dropped our laundry off to get cleaned (one small bag) and wrote a note of what couldn’t go in the dryer. Unfortunately when we picked it up, there were about four thick items that were still wet (that weren’t on the list). This made it really hard to air dry in time for our departure. We raised this with reception and they said they couldn’t do anything about it as its an external service. Which we understand, but if the external company isn’t doing the right thing then they should be contacted to resolve it.. especially for 25 euro to wash a small bag of things. Another issue that we had on our last day was the staff knocking on our door, not once, but twice before the check out time asking when we were leaving.

Ate dinner with my son on evening we arrived. Food was delicious. We shared a pizza, loaded chips and 3 of the options available for €24 euro, ie tacos etc which were really good. Food was served promptly and, it was plentiful, freshly made and was of a high standard. We stayed because my son had an exam in Galway early the following morning. Room service is not available for breakfast which is the only fault I can mention. However I went down to the restaurant and was able to get a tray and bring some breakfast up to the room myself. We wouldn’t as a rule order up to the room but he was doing some last minute study and I wanted him to have something eaten before the exam. Room was spotless, beds very comfortable and heard no noise from any part of the hotel. The underground parking is ideal. We would definitely stay again.

lovely hotel it was a lovely room and the bed was very comfortable.and it was a nice distance away from Galway city centre and a handy bus stop practically outside the hotel that took us in every day and evening.

I found that the hotel hadn't any buzz about it like previous hotels we stayed in there was no music or any sort of atmosphere, so we only slept there we didn't hang about ,but most hotels we stayed in we could go back for a drink and there would be a nice atmosphere, I really felt it lacked that unfortunately 😞

Absolutely loved the room. We arrived an hour before check in hoping for the best and the receptionist was extremely helpful. Went to our room and it was lovely. Loads of amenities within walking distance and a beach 15 min drive from hotel. Only thing I was disappointed in was the breakfast. In fairness after the mix up they didn't charge for my daughter who had half a croissant and some of milk from the jug but 17euro for some mushrooms and scrambled egg was a bit much. But the staff were lovely and friendly. At the end of the day I got away for some time away with my little girl and the hotel made it enjoyable. She wanted to stay another night and if I had the money I would have stayed again. Hopefully again in the future

Price of the breakfast. Confusion on when I had booked breakfast at check in being told it would be at a reduced guest price and then told I wasnt reserved for breakfast when we went down the next morning so had to pay full price.. Just lucky I had enough on my card. Oh breakfast room service would be a great idea especially for families with asd children

The staff were friendly and professional, our rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We particularly loved the bathrooms with our walk in showers, which gave that added touch of luxury. The food in the restaurant, both buffet breakfast and evening menus, was beautifully cooked (especially the sea bass, which was outstanding. Compliments to the chef.) Parking at the hotel was plentiful and well spaced and we were delighted with the ample provision for disabled guest parking as one of our group was a wheelchair user. There was plenty of space for us to take the wheelchair in and out of the car. The location of the hotel was excellent, being close enough to the city for easy access and adjacent to the main arterial routes making reaching the hotel and touring the county very easy. The spar shop and filling station on the right side of the building was a real bonus, with the added advantage of having the Terryland shopping complex a short walk away. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of booking for business or leisure in Galway city.

Although the air conditioning in the room was excellent and easy to use, we'd have liked the choice of having a window we could open in our executive rooms. But we appreciate that's a design detail which can't be changed. We also couldn't use the Sky TV in either of our rooms, despite our best efforts. We didn't bring this to the attention of the staff at reception, which we probably should have done as they were very approachable, but other visitors for whom Sky TV might be a greater priority might be advised to keep this in mind.
