Lovely stylish small hotel,well appointed room, good location, parking close by. Lovely restaurent/ bar with good food/ cocktails and very good quality breakfast. Lovely professional staff.

Our only issue was how stuffy our room was with no natural airflow (we were in a courtyard room away from the street noise) - strangely there was a large aircon machine in our room which we needed to use which was very loud which really affected our second nights sleep. We mentioned how warm and stuffy it was the following morning and it was explained that they had recent problems with the heating.

The staff made my stay even more excellent. Michelle at the front desk was very helpful when answering any questions I had. The bar staff were also fantastic. I interacted with Ricardo and Julia the most, and they were very friendly. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Super close to the bus stop, which was nice. I didn’t have to haul my heavy luggage far. I will definitely be coming back to the Hyde hotel next time I’m in Galway. Thanks y’all for a great stay!

At night the hotel locks the front door and you have to ring to be let in. There were nights that I would be out and come back to the hotel late. It’s understandable that a worker wouldn’t be at the front desk the entire night, and they would head to the back. Due to that, I had to stand outside the hotel for a good while ringing the bell until someone came. I’d suggest that the hotel allows guests to scan their hotel card to enter instead of ringing a bell and waiting to be let in.

Modern upbeat design in a perfect location. Just around the corner from bus/train station but not noisy. Easy walk to the heart of Galway & Shop Street. Taxis easy to secure, as well as day tour pickup spots right there. Very nice served hot breakfast in a gorgeous dining room. Restaurant on site. Bathroom and shower were lovely. Everything was exceptionally clean!

Not all the rooms have regular windows, ours had a large skylight with a remote for electric opening & a darkening shade. And not all the rooms have air conditioning, if that’s important to you. Be sure to read the room description to see if the type you’re selecting mentions it. The most frustrating thing was managing the temperature controls, there are no instructions.

A beautiful boutique hotel, loved the decor in the bar and restaurant, it was funky and colourful. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. We had dinner in the bar and the food was just delicious. The location was brilliant and it was very clean.

My only fault with this lovely hotel was that our group were 4 friends so we had two bedrooms, one of the bedrooms was perfect heatwise but the other one was quite chilly despite trying to adjust the radiator, also when we were eating in the bar, we were sitting by the window which was lovely looking out on to the street but again it wasn't warm, it was chilly also especially when the door opened. Besides this little inconvenience, otherwise we loved the hotel, the location was perfect, right in the heart of Galway city.

the room was very hot, even with the heating off and the small window open, you were unable to adjust the thermostat, however the manager did bring us a fan upon request and staff were very helpful with the matter

Amazing hotel. loved the bar and the decor. we had a beautiful newly refurbished room with a balcony it was stunning and beds were so comfortable. the room was very clean with ritual amenities which was an added bonus. if i would give one recommendation it would be to have a fridge in the room.

the parking setup is slightly frustarting we lost our ticket(completley our own fault) but the hotel couldnt offer any help we had to contact the bus station who charge us 2 day fee even tho we werent even in the car park a full 24hrs.

The two young women at the front desk staff were wonderful and very accommodating. As we were on a 16-day trip with only carry-on luggage and a backpack, we planned on using their laundry service, which turned out great. We dropped off our clothes after dinner and picked them up the next day when we returned from our day trip to the Aran Islands. Our clothes were washed, dried, and folded for a very reasonable price. The hotel is also in a very handy location to pubs, restaurants, buses and the train station.

Our room faced the street, and there was quite a bit of noise and yelling at night. The elevator was rather small, and the hallway carpets needed updating. However, the room was fine, and the lovely staff and wonderful location made up for it.

Sweet small hotel. Perfect for our stay. In a good location, walking distance to the town center. We had a wonderful dinner on our first night in the hotel restaurant which was super cute. Perfect way to end our first day in Ireland after a long day of travel.

Updated and modern, great reception and staff, great dining room and breakfast, great location

We were in a room without a window, skylight only. Lack of window made up by skylight and large mirror where a window is expected, with lighting around the mirror giving impression of sunlight. This can be acceptable for 1 night if not claustrophobic, but not for more than 1 night. Humans need to be able too look outside, even if no good view.

Incredibly large and comfy bed. Superb location. Amazing bar and restaurant with a huge drink list. Lifts to upper floors. Late room service means a lie in! Quick check in. Nice little balcony in room.

Bits of the property are very outdated and need replacing, with a lick of paint required / redecorating in some areas.
