Claybaun hotel has a great location. 10 mins from City centre by bus but within in a quiet upmarket residential area. Great point for driving for day trips.

Lovely hotel, gym was fantastic. Rooms very nice and comfortable. 8 minute drive to salthill promenade.

No water in the bedroom during our stay😞 Would have liked to have used the hot tub (main reason I booked the hotel), however I didn't have a swimming hat which I didn't know was required and as I had no cash with me when I went to the pool to purchase a hat and staff would not add it on to my room charges, I was unable to use facilities which was very disappointing indeed.

Gorgeous room, excellent food, leisure facilities adequate, friendly and helpful staff on desk (checkin and out) and Aaron was particularly helpful as a porter among his numerous other duties!

Re LEISURE CENTRE ONLY - not hotel! Pool is run by a different owner. Raised a concern/issue at pool & gym sign-in desk which wasn't responded to at all, and the person on the desk took a call mid conversation. Apart from being downright rude, it was a blatant disregard for customer service of any kind. Note that this is not a reflection on the hotel but NRG who run the leisure centre.

We stayed 4 nights as a family of four (kids aged 4 & 6) and had the perfect stay, we didn’t want to leave. Family room was spacious and modern with a great shower and TV channel selection. We swam every day in the excellent pool, and enjoyed the varied breakfast every morning - the overnight oats pots and smoothies were the favourite. We ate twice in the evening restaurant, the food and staff were great. The glass atrium where you can eat and drink is lovely first thing in the morning and into the evening. A notable bonus to mention is the choice of two non-alcoholic beers on draft - my wife is pregnant and this is such an inclusive addition. Also a special mention for Breda who always went out of her way to speak to us every day, she is a wonderful representative of the personal feel of your hotel. Excellent abundant parking on site and we also used the bus stop right outside to bus in and out of town several times with ease. Great location under 10mins drive from Galway centre and Salthill. We would definitely stay again if we are in Galway in the future!

I recently stayed at the Claybaun Hotel in Galway for three days, and I have to say, everything was absolutely excellent. The hotel has been newly modernized, and it shows in every detail. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, providing a perfect place to unwind. The staff were incredibly attentive, always willing to help and ensure that everything was just right. The restaurant was another highlight, with a great selection on the menu, and the food was consistently delicious. For the quality of service, comfort, and dining, I found the hotel to offer excellent value for money. I would have no hesitation in returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Galway!

The hotel is lovely, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean. They provide shampoo, shower gel, etc. in large reusable bottles, which cut back on plastic waste, which is excellent. There is a very good bus service right outside the gate which brings into the city. The only thing I would have any comment on is the towels. We hung our towels up after using them in the morning. In other hotels we have stayed in, this means towels are not to be replaced and will be reused. When we got back that evening, towels had been replaced, which surprised me. Overall, it is a lovely hotel and will hopefully we will be back to stay soon.

The food was absolutely fantastic — every meal was delicious and clearly prepared with care. The staff were equally wonderful: warm, attentive, and always willing to help. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble, and their friendly approach really enhanced our experience. Unfortunately, the beds were not very comfortable, which impacted the quality of our sleep during the stay. It’s a shame, as everything else was so enjoyable. A better night’s rest would have made the experience perfect.

Room couldn’t be faulted, beds very comfy and shower was fantastic. Immaculate Modern room with a smart TV so great for the little ones to watch YouTube & Netflix. Staff were also lovely. Dinner & breakfast were both very tasty and enjoyed by all my family, loads of options for the children too!

My only negative though is the noise. The closing and opening of doors late at night & very early in the morning is extremely loud, I am not a light sleeper and I was woken numerous times, it also disturbed my children, there doesn’t seem to be any soundproofing at all or even door closers just to stop the constant slamming sound as the door shuts. I have noticed other guests have said the same. It’s such a shame because it is a beautiful hotel and I really enjoyed my stay but the broken disturbed sleep has put me off from booking again.

Lovely hotel, just a little too warm in the bedroom for me but when I asked for a fan, I got one asap. Beds very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Friday night and would have stayed in the hotel bar for drinks etc but there was no entertainment on and the place was very quiet, so we went up the road to Sheridans where we got some music and cocktails etc but we did have a lovely afternoon tea the following day back in the Clybaun. The hotel very near the beach and city centre which is a bonus. Would definitely go back there.

We had a great stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kids loved the pool. Breakfast was excellent! We walked to Tom Sheridan’s for dinner one night, which was a great spot.

It is a bit further from the city than I expected but it’s in a nice neighborhood. There’s a bus stop right outside but the schedule seemed inconsistent so we mostly relied on taxis to get around. The rooms were pretty hot at night but we were there for an unusually warm stretch.
