Hotel clean and welcoming, staff friendly and helpful.
We have been there previously and as the other times we were there the breakfast was second to none. The breads, pastries and continental breakfast was superb, plenty of meats, cheeses, fish, fruit etc. The cooked breakfast which you ordered came freshly cooked which is unusual now in hotels as it is cooked early and left in warming trays until it turns to leather in these other hotels, they could take a leaf out of the Galway Bay Hotel as to how to serve the best breakfast ever.

Excellent location on seafront with ample parking. Secure hotel. Gorgeous foyer. Friendly staff on reception and in bar & dining room. Many areas to enjoy such as cafe, restaurant, bar & conservatory. Bright airy room. Comfy bed and great modern bathroom. Nice lift access. Leisure activities available free just to book in such as yoga, barista training, painting & Prosecco, among others laid on for residents- a nice surprise. 20 minute walk to town. Great location in Salthill with shops, banks, leisure complex and cinema for wet days. Fantastic promenade along shore to enjoy. Bus route outside gate.
Bathroom needs more hooks to hang wet towel and dressing gown.

Good selection at breakfast. The food was excellent at breakfast and dining in the evening. Beautiful view of the beach from our room. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Great location, we walked to the town (about a 30-40 minute walk).
Maybe more hangers needed in the wardrobes? Sometimes service was a bit slow at breakfast and dining, but staff were very helpful and friendly. However, after a few mishaps on our first breakfast this was soon highlighted by management and we received first class service the following morning.

The hotel is in a great location for accessing Salthill and it's surrounding area. Eyre Square is not really within walking distance but there is a bus running on a regular basis in and out of Eyre Square which is close to the hotel. The interior of the hotel is lovely with a newly refurbished lunch/coffee area and a lovely pub inside the hotel. The staff were friendly, the hotel is very clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was very big with a modern bathroom. There was a lovely view of the sea from the room.
I had completed the online check-in facility prior to arriving at the hotel. It didn't seem to make any difference to the check-in process as we still had quite a wait to speak to the receptionist to receive the key to the room. We arrived roughly 3:30pm and were told they'd call us if the room was available earlier. It wasn't which was fine but it was almost 4:30pm by the time we got the key card due to the arrival of a wedding in the mean time. We still had to complete the check-in process as normal at the reception desk.

Room was very nice, beds were extremely comfortable. Great location. Staff were very friendly.Good bar. We had dinner and it was very tasty.Good selection for breakfast
I don't understand why I was asked to check in online when I still had to queue at desk to get keys. Check in is at 4. We didn't get keys until 4.10 even though lots of others got keys before 4 pm. We had breakfast the following morning. There was a good selection of food but the hot food we ordered was really cold. We didn't say anything but a couple at the table beside us had to send food back because it was cold

I asked for a room with a bath and this was no problem. Pleasantly surprised when I entered arm 134. It was a lovely large room. New carpets give rooms and corridors a real feeling of luxury. The beds are large and extremely comfortable. A table and two large armchairs in the window were perfectly positioned for a complimentary tea whilst I read my book/ watched TV. I didn’t use the gym but I did swim and have a sauna. The facilities were spotlessly clean. Breakfast selection was huge, good quality and the staff were professional and friendly.
The bath could have been cleaned better.

Breakfast selection was exceptional. Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect.
The check-in experience could have been better. Firstly, our attempts to check in online did not work. Our booking reference was rejected even though it was confirmed to be correct. Also, I keep getting emails reminding me to check in even after I got home! Your system is not up-to-scratch. Desk check-in was fine except that we could have avoided having to queue when we were tired from our journey if we could have checked in online beforehand.

Our recent stay at Galway Bay Hotel was truly outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable. The location of the hotel is stunning, with breathtaking views of Galway Bay that make it the perfect getaway. The food was absolutely delicious, offering a range of beautifully prepared dishes that catered to all tastes. However, the highlight of our dining experience was the exemplary service provided by our waiter, Steven. He was attentive, friendly, and extremely professional, ensuring that every detail of our meal was perfect. His warmth and commitment to making us feel welcome added a special touch to the entire evening. Overall, Galway Bay Hotel exceeded all expectations, from the fantastic location to the wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Galway!

The whole place was exceptionally clean. The reception area was very impressive as you first walk in teamed with the amazing staff we felt very welcome to be there. We used the restaurant & the wee pub both had amazing service. The cocktails spoilt us as every other one we had we compared to the Galway Bay Hotels. They were great! We had a seaview room which my husband loved as well as overview of the park. It was the right temperature and it didn't get too warm or cold. The room we stayed in had what we needed we will be back again.
The only thing I can is, the bed was a little uncomfortable for me which may be down to the mattress. The bed I have at home is a specialist orthopaedic mattress. I don't expect everywhere to have them but doesn't prevent me from visiting places.

The breakfast was so fresh and a variety of options and delicious , best I’ve had in hotels . Most important part was the young kind warm friendly professional staff . Our bedroom window was so far up you couldn’t see out and made room uncomfortable so I said it to a staff member and he was so kind and so helpful and we got a room with a lovely sea view . Beautiful stay and fabulous location lovely walk and restaurants and cafes
The massage was poor Lovely lady Massage room needs updating and comfort and heat
