Spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable, breakfast excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Was a plus to have easy car parking.
Smart TV would have been a huge plus for us, or a Chromecast available. We decided to go out on the town instead of having a night in & had a great time, but our heads were sore the morning after!

The location to the city was great with parking available at the cathedral for a very low price for 24 hours when we wanted to visit the town. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of items. The porridge was excellent! There was potential to sit on the terrace and have a quiet drink or two, although we didn't actually have time to do it.
This is not a 4 star accommodation, although this is everywhere in the documentation. It looks like it has been an issue for many years, but the water pressure in our shower was pathetic, to say the least. Just a dribble. Please fix it. There was also a strange smell on entering the property, could it be cigarettes, and our room had a strange perfume smell to it.

Lovely stay. My husband and my in-laws stayed in 2 KING rooms and they were great. Tons of space in both rooms, though totally different layout/decor etc. We both perfectly loved our room the best between the two. My husband and I stayed in room #1 and loved the giant outdoor space, we got to watch the snowfall, but spring and summer would have used the space even more. The bed was comfy, and we loved the pillows. Both couples would have preferred a quilt vs. blankets, but that's just a personal preference. We were both a bit concerned at 1st that we did not have control in each room over the thermostat, we thought it may be too hot for us as we like to sleep cool room but warm bed, but the temperature was great and did love the heated blanket we used it to get the bed toasty then turned it off and slept perfectly. The shower was nice and hot, and they had cold drinking water in each room. The location was great, and had it not been snowing, it would have been as fast to walk as drive to the city center (10-15 min). Breakfast in the morning was nice, the right amount of food, good options to choose from and of course most importantly very tasty. The views from the breakfast room were beautiful as well, you could see the sea. All and all we were very happy with our stay especially for the value. Thanks so much.

Breakfast was just fantastic. They started off with these adorable amuse-bouches each morning that were delightful. The coffee and breakfast entrees were stellar as well. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.
I would have liked to have been a bit more walkable to the main area of Galway, but I was fully aware of the location upon making the reservation, so that was a trade-off I agreed to when I selected this B&B. It's really not far and parking in Galway was pretty easy. It just meant we went back in for bed a little earlier than we would have had we been within a more walkable distance from the main pub scene.

Everything was lovely, Michael greeted us when we arrived and was so personable and kind. The room exceeded my expectations, very clean, comfy bed, lovely towels and bedding as well and it was very spacious and even had outdoor access. Breakfast was so lovely as well the homemade scones were such a treat! Easy check in and check out experience it was exactly the type of place I was looking for to stay and so close to Galway city center while also being in a lovely quiet neighborhood.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kilbree B&B in Galway, Ireland, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautiful property and its stunning surroundings. Makes for a very relaxing getaway. My only disappointment is that we hadn't stayed for longer. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which surpassed all expectations. As someone who has indulged in numerous breakfasts at various establishments over the years! I can confidently say that the breakfast at Kilbree B&B was a standout experience. The selection was diverse, the ingredients were fresh, and every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. It truly set the tone for a fantastic day ahead. I found the overall value for money to be outstanding. The level of service, combined with the quality of accommodation and amenities, far exceeded what one might expect at such a reasonable price point. I would not hesitate to recommend Kilbree B&B to family and friends seeking a memorable stay in Galway. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a convenient base for exploring the area, this charming B&B ticks all the boxes. Many thanks, Dan & Emma

Outstanding breakfast : 5 stars to the chef. Good location
Cold, too cold. We struggled to keep us warm, as the radiator seemed to be under dimensioned and the 3 layers of blankets were too damn heavy. So the owner knows that room is cold. After battling with those heavy blankets, we discovered accidentally the heated blanket and that helped. Would’ve been better if we knew this upfront. The tiny kettle has the cord integrated so you have to unplug it to use it. Recommend changing it with a detachable one. The taps in shower room: British style with two taps - I thought these are defunct as they are impractical. Recommend changing with a mixer tap.

Location. Good bed. Spotlessly clean . Wonderful breakfast. Flexibility when I needed to be away for a day trip and needed breakfast a little earlier. Michael was a great host but so were his kitchen staff. A place like this does not rune without good staff and that were great! Thanks.
One tiny suggestion- some mat for the base of the shower. No myself I was concerned with slipping I found a solution in using towelling. Something more substantial could be.good fork older folk.

The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous, especially the homemade cheese bread.. There was such attention to detail, from the amuse-bouche before breakfast to embroidered napkins and the organza bag with the spare toilet paper. The little touches were lovely. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
There wasn't anything to dislike about the bed and breakfast.

For us location was good, 20min walk into Galway. The breakfast was amazing, we have never had such a choice, a feast without restrictions. The room was very nicely decorated, fluffy towels and clean.
We think it's work in progress but the front steps that lead to the reception hallway could do with upgrading and being more welcoming as it's your first impression and doesn't reflect the rest of the place.
