Rooms very comfortable

Refugee kids running about the hallway this would put me off using here again, it's a shame as it's a really nice hotel

Beautifully comfortable rooms, newly refurbished. Great location from which to explore Fanad Head, Atlantic Drive and other areas of north Donegal. Friendly staff. Good and safe parking.

There were very few other guests and very little atmosphere in the hotel. (Most of the rooms were occupied by foreign nationals under state care. They had their own eating and socialising area) Our evening meal was a bit disappointing.

My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel and we were extremely pleased. The food was beautiful. We both had chicken curry and it was probably one of the best we've had. Unfortunately my first choice of the duck was sold out. Maybe next time. Staff very efficient and friendly and make you feel relaxed and welcome. A major asset of the hotel. The welcoming vibe is initiated by the hotel receptionist. Beds very comfortable. Spacious bedroom and praise to the housekeeper as our room was spotless. Thank you to all concerned for a fantastic experience. One word of advice to future guests reading some of the reviews. Ignore the nasty despicable comments about immigrants. We had no evidence of immigrants nor any noise problems. For us these reviews are unfair and detract from the reality of the Mulroy Woods Hotel.

We were more than happy with everything that this hotel has to offer.

Hotel very comfortable, rooms and all public areas scrupulously clean. Must have had a refurbishment in last year or two as it all looks very fresh. Lots of public seating, good sized bar and restaurant and a pleasant, attentive staff Breakfast was great, first day cooked to order second day buffet style food all delicious and decent choice. We ate one night in the bar both of us had sizeable portions of very tasty food, and menu prices were not over the top, in fact decent value for money. Lots of parking including two blue badge spaces. We had an accessible room which was beautifully decorated and a good size with plenty of storage and a large wet room. Only small niggle here was the sink was too small and quite difficult to clean teeth or shave over. Shop and petrol station opposite and just a short drive from town of Milford. Very pleased with our choice of Mulroy Woods Hotel.

Larger rise and fall sink (or just a larger sink) would be more practical for guests and better suited to the overall quality of the room. A couple of basic EV chargers would be useful for overnight charging as a lot of chargers in that area of the county were broken at Lifford, Downings and Glenveigh.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Located in the prefect place to go explore the Fanad Headland, Rosguil Headland and Horn Head. The staff couldn’t do enough for you - each a d everyone of them friendly and welcoming. Down to greeting you as you walked past them in the hallway. Breakfast was great everything you could ask for and the in-house restaurant was a delight. Had the pasta and fish. Both beautiful and really well priced. Rooms comfortable and the whole place was immaculately presented

Breakfastt and dinner And Room comfort and cleanliness were all spot on and staff very friendly and attentive.

The previous time we stayed in this Hotel the Saturday evening atmosphere and entertainment was excellent . This time however is was very subdued with only a single guy singing ( he wasn't that bad though ) and unlike the previous time when the dance floor was packed with dancers of all ages ,rher was only one couple dancing . I wonder if the atmosphere is not what it was as there wasn't anywhere near the same amount of locals coming in to enjoy the evening entertainment . Could this have something to do with the hotel now seeming to house asylum seekers/migrants at the rear ?

Not a big choice of healthy options but the staff went out of their way to help with this. Everyone was very friendly

We had to move to the only room that had a hand held shower as we couldn’t use the bath with fixed overhead power shower. The room we were moved to was better but had a tiny basin and you banged your head on the shelf above to do your teeth! We coped but it was not ideal

Great nicely renovated and clean hotel. Spacious comfortable bed. Room and bathroom warm. Breakfast was good too. Friendly staff.

Booking this hotel,we expected a life music every Friday and Saturday night that was promised on the website. There was none. Also, we were a bit shocked that at breakfast they're serving instant coffee. Today freshly brewed coffee is a must. And they don't do decaf either. Apart this we really had a great time. Thank you

3rd time in the Mulroy Woods. Lovely hotel, with great staff, ok too many English staff - in Donegal, lol!!! Brilliant brekkie. Great on site parking.

Couldn't believe that half the hotel is now a migrant centre - a bit unnerving to open ur curtains and see Muslim men, women and children in the other half of the hotel - strange!

The hotel was spacious,with large public areas and up to date decor.The rooms were beautifully furnished with a contemporary,very relaxing colour palate and the bathroom was excellent.The food was very good value for money,there was a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. I have stayed in hotels at twice the price which were not nearly as good as this one.Excellent and well done!
