This large hotel had a great range of amenities including a pool, gym, bar and restaurant, room service as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were given an upgrade to an executive suite as (I presume) we’d had to wait a small while for our room. This suite was ver6 spacious with a large king size bed, wardrobe, two armchairs and table, writing desk and chair, as well as two seater couch, chair and coffee table.

Our room, no 152, was directly opposite some big floodlights that lit up the building and rear car park and the curtains did not block out enough light to facilitate good sleep.

Amazing hotel, lovely rooms that are a decent size and the bathrooms are quite spacious as well. Beds are very comfortable and quite big. Staff are always very polite. The hotel is always clean and tidy and the rooms are very clean. Very accommodating for very short notice, as we were originally staying at a different hotel but we were very disappointed and within 45 minutes we were booked in and in our room at Clanree, didnt expect to get a double bed with it being such short notice but was very happy that we did. Not the best location for scenery but very close to shops, restaurants and Petrol stations. Also a Petrol Station across the road is open 24/7.

Food was exceptional - steak was cooked to mine and my partners preference. We ordered starter main and desert truly couldn't eat another thing the rest of the evening we were that full due to the very generous portion sizes. Room was immaculate throughout, bathroom was so clean you could have ate your dinner from the floor. Beds were luxurious, lighting was good you could have it very bright, dull and anywhere in between. Generous room sizes to we have stayed in each kind of room available and all were very spacious and layed out lovely. No bar noise could be heard and we were on the first floor so we were impressed. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Leisure facilities were included in the stay at no extra cost. Breakfast the next morning was a lovely buffet style with lots of choice. Looking forward to our next few stays!

We had a bit of a damp smell in the room like something has been spilled or a leak and the hall beside our room was being painted which was very strong smelling but was fine once in the room. We were there when a wedding was on and the music actually got louder after 12am and then music and noise for the wedding party went on until after 5 am really difficult to sleep especially having two young children with us we ended up having a really unsettled night.

We had a nice meal and breakfast. We enjoyed the music too. Nice clean pool and sauna. Very helpful staff.

Rooms at the front had quite a bit of traffic noise in the evening and obviously not a wonderful view. However, it was ok for us staying just for a couple of nights. Location was a bit further away from Letterkenny town centre than we thought. Nice to have a late check out. Just one thing to note in the ladies changing room, there were several drain covers missing which, although covered by a thick plastic non-slip mat, could possibly have caused a twisted ankle.

The room was so spacious and had a bath and shower which I thoroughly enjoyed, alongside the nice complimentary products given in the bathroom. A few chocolates in the room, to have before bedtime really was a treat. Loved that you had the delicious mcgettigans on the ground floor of hotel so no need to leave for food, the spa facilities and pool were the icing on the cake. Thanks for a special stay and I look forward to staying with you in the future.

Loved the pool , the steam room sauna and hot tub and it was well run .....also had the spa for therapies which were all reasonably priced. Mc Gettigans bar and food was great and the bar/ restaurant was really nice. Staff were very pleasant also. The breakfast was excellent and they catered well for gluten free option. So thanking you kindly for a great stay

Only thing was the heating isn't put on during summer months and I was hoping to dry our swim wear however they did offer me a heater to my room to facilitate this...but the room was warm enough so I wouldn't say this was a big deal anyhow.

If you are looking for a short break I strongly recommend the Clanree. It is, without doubt, thee best hotel in Letterkenny and in Donegal. The cleanliness, service, food and staff are all amazing. So friendly. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The highest compliment to the chef. Probably the nicest meal I have ever had. Service was amazing and didnt have to wait that long. The family room we stayed in was stunning. So spacious. The bed and pillows were so so comfortable. It was like lying on a cloud. Sincere thank you to the wonderful owner and staff for making our stay so enjoyable. When we get the funds again we will definitely return. If you book this hotel I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Our room was large and roomy for our family of 4, however it was extremely warm even with windows open and fan on. The heat literally hit us as we opened the door after breakfast. The room is so comfortable but we didn't sleep great due to heat (was a very warm day also) The staff were excellent, warm and welcoming. We ate in mcgettigans that evening and the staff there were also very attentive (we'd had a poorer experience last time) Breakfast is fabulous and plenty of options setting us up for our day

The heat in the room and leading to little to no sleep is the only reason this stay isn't a 10

The room was great my friend and I requested 2 beds and we got 2 double beds and was so comfortable with loads of pillows which was really good!! I always have to request more pillows in most hotels i've stayed in but not here The meal in McGettigans was lovely and very quick service with lovely staff...The breakfast was excellent a lot of choice and staff where very welcoming and attentive..

The only thing we thought was missing was a mini fridge and because the room was warm our lemonade got warm pretty quickly...A mini fridge would make such a difference and it would be a Perfect Stay and I would highly recommend it!! BUT GET THE FRIDGE!!
