Very Pleasant staff, convenient location for my purposes. The room was pretty much as expected, the food in the bar was good, tasty and reasonably priced.

The bathroom was fine and looked ok but the bowl basin although looked good was totally impractical to fill the kettle or even wash your face due to the tap extending out to the middle of the basin. When filling the kettle you have to riggle it into the basin and then to remove it tilt it so much most of the water is now emptied out. A bit more forethought required.

Everything from start to finish was 5 stars. The receptionist was very friendly, and the rest of the staff always had a smile and a friendly demeanour. I had the Classic 50/50 in the restaurant. Staff were attentive and the food was lovely. Tender chicken and perfect steak with just the right amount of side order. On Saturday night there's live music and whilst not Bruce Springsteen the singer could belt out a tune and everyone was enjoying themselves. The rooms were clean and the usual was provided. No skimping on the tea or milk. Good size TV though no SKY (that was in the bar) and I had a choice of Election results or The Patriot which I had seen a dozen times. The Patriot won hands down 😂 Even on leaving the receptionist asked How was my stay along with one of the cheery staff. I will definitely come back here again. Highly recommended.

Second time staying at Fir Trees and I love it! Rooms very modern and homely. Staff very friendly, breakfast was tasty too. We found the bathroom and shower in the room to be clean and good quality. The hotel is in a good area to explore the west of Northern Ireland and Donegal and has ample free parking at the front. Overall a very comfortable hotel at great value

Didn't majorly dislike anything. There was a party on in the hotel the night we stayed with music playing but it stopped at midnight which I thought was fairly respectful. The rooms have actual keys instead of keycards which isn't an issue but make sure to manually lock the door behind you or else there's nothing stopping someone walking in!

Very comfortable stay. Staff were excellent and so nice on arrival. Compliments to the gentleman who met us and advised us on the golf and how to get there. Food in bar was good. Excellent options, homemade desserts. Excellent breakfast and very accommodating to have it ready at 7am and facilitate takeaway option. Excellent value for money.

An extra towel would be great but to be fair they were changed on day 2.

Breakfast excellent choice and portion sizes. Staff helpful, friendly and any request was 'no problem.' Sunday carvery was excellent and great value for money. The choice of desserts was excellent. Bar food tasty and reasonably priced. Locals using the bar were very welcoming. Very quiet - no noise from any of the functions taking place. Bed was huge and shower very good. Location good for visiting Donegal, Antrim coast and visiting friends and relatives.

The room was a bit grubby paintwork peeling in the room and the bathroom, the floors in the room was full of fluff as though it hadn't been hoovered and the sink in the bathroom was cracked. exterior at reception was full of cobwebs, and canopy is dirty. The guttering on the property is blocked with greenery, which spoils the hotel but I did like it but mainly due ti the staff and the food was very good also.

We had a great stay at Fir Trees Hotel. The staff was extremely welcoming whether at the reception, or ar the restaurant or at breakfast . We had dinner at the restaurant each night. The dishes proposed are varied and generous in quantity. The prices are quite correct. I highly recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff. Good location. Clean and comfortable

Dinner service was extremely slow. Party of 6 there for a funeral and one person got there food at least 10 minutes before the rest of the party. No cutlery on the table. But again staff were friendly. Breakfast service again very slow. It wasn't because it was busy just needs to be quicker. Half hour waiting to give order and another 15 minutes for service is not a good look.

Our sink was leaking in bathroom and there was a bit of a mouldy smell. The breakfast I'm sorry to say was very poor. The food looked like it wasn't fresh. The toaster wasn't working. I was so surprised at the breakfast because our dinner had been lovely

Good value for money hotel with friendly staff. Great bedrooms with very comfortable bed, plenty of storage and excellent hot shower. Breakfast was very substantial and good quality. Hotel was very convenient for us but is some way out of Strabane town centre (need car). Good attached restaurant and bar. Popular venue for weddings and locals especially at weekends but no noise in the bedroom wing. Advise to book early especially for weekends.
