The B & B was easy to find wih plenty of on-street parking right outside and just a short walk to the city walls and the city centre. Jim could not have been a more welcoming and helpful host. He waited in later than advertised as our flight was slightly delayed and then gave us a great rundown of the best places to visit in the city. He let us know all about the beat pubs for music of different kinds and where the best (and most affordable places to eat were (including the fantastic Castle Street Social and the sadly packed Silver Street.) The breakfasts were tremendous. I had the full Fry and didn't need anything elae until the end of the day. Highly recommended.

This B & B is just minutes from the heart of all you want to see in Derry. Our host, Jim, was very nice and gave us lots of information of things to see/do, and points of interest, as well as places on where to get a good meal for dinner. The room, though very compact was comfortable and very clean, as was the en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was cooked to order in the morning, and there were a variety of options.
It would have been nice to have a place to relax in the B & B, but there were no open common areas, and the room was just not conducive to much more than sleeping. Also, the bed was up against the wall, which makes it a challenge for the person on the inside to get up in the middle of the night if necessary. Nothing we have not dealt with before, and certainly nothing that would prevent me from recommending this location. We would definitely stay here again.

The B & B is a small terraced house on a main road, but free parking was easy outside. The room was also small, but comfortable and with all the amenities promised. And it's only a fifteen minute walk to the city centre. But the best thing about the stay was Jim, the owner and manager. He was very personable, helpful and knowledgable of the history (and geography) of Derry, and actually taught me more about the Troubles than I had learned at the time as a teenager in England, or since. Derry itself turned out to be a very interesting and attractive city, which frankly surprised me. Murals and memorials also explain the history, as does the magnificent City Hall. Jim had given us a map and indicated where the best sites, bars and restaurants were, and also he cooked a fab breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay again.
Nothing we didn't like.

The Bed and Breakfast was very clean and well presented. As it is just near the Bishops Gate we had easy access to the Derry Walls and the city centre. Parking on the street was easy. Locals were very friendly and we felt very safe wherever we went. Jim was the perfect host and his love for his city was very obvious. He guided us to multiple restaurants and pubs. He came with us in our car so we would find a particular museum and then gave us clear directions to other points of interest. If we ever visit Derry again he'll be our first choice

Jim, the owner, was really friendly and his knowledge of the city was great in helping me figure out what to see in the city and the surrounding areas. He cooked a darn good Irish breakfast too. The property was only a few hundred metres from the famous Wall of Derry, so was ideal for getting to see the city on foot.
The street the property’s located in seemed full of parked cars. However, I was lucky in that the two times I had to park near to the property, I got parked right outside the front gate.

A friend booked this bnb as we were coming to Derry to attend a local restaurant. The location was on Bishops gate street just outside the walls. It was great value and about a ten minute walk from the restaurant. The bnb was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast and this was freshly cooked on the morning by Jim (who had broken his arm) and ably assisted by Francis. Both were friendly and helpful. There was also cereal, fruit and yoghurt and fresh toast if you didn't want a cooked breakfast

We were greeted at the door by the owner and daughter of the lodge. We spent some time chatting and getting acquainted. The owner was warm and personable. We even got to say hi to their dogs. We would’ve like to have stayed longer but had an early flight.we would love to return to Ireland and would definitely stay at Aberdeen Lodge again: we walked to the shore and got ice cream. The pic is of a garden in the neighborhood.

Great location! A few minutes walk to the city wall Parked right outside Place was very clean, and rooms were comfortable. Great shower. Breakfast was plentiful! A full Irish cooked breakfast with fresh coffee. Cereal, fruit and yogurt was also available along with a selection of juices. Jim was a fantastic host, very friendly and supplied us with lots of helpful tips and information about our visit to the city.

The new owner Jim had just taken over the B&B then had a bad fall and hurt his elbow needing to have it surgically pinned so some of the things that he wanted to update wasn't achievable but the rooms had everything we could need the bed was extremely comfortable the breakfast was great plenty of it and hot and the 2 ladies were friendly and helpful really enjoyed our stay and will be back
The shower base needed a bit of attention but the water was hot and the flow excellent
