I only stayed one night at this wonderful bed & breakfast, but the warm welcome and the loving atmosphere left a lasting impression. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by Eilish with a heartfelt hug and immediately invited in for coffee and cookies – such a kind and personal gesture that made me feel right at home. Eilish is the kind of host you can only hope for: open, warm, and with a great sense of what her guests need to feel comfortable. The room was very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated with lots of attention to detail. Breakfast the next morning was simply fantastic – generous, fresh, and carefully prepared. Nothing was missing: hot dishes, fresh fruit, a selection of breads and spreads – everything was of high quality and served with a smile. Even though it was just a short stay, I felt completely at ease and genuinely welcome. I would gladly return anytime! It was a pleasure to stay at eilish's beautiful home. .

Of our 10-day trip, with 10 different places to stay, I left this one for last... and that's because everything was perfect. The house is a dream, the room too, and I absolutely have to mention Eillish, the host. It was like visiting your aunt on vacation, the aunt you love most and can't wait to see again... a very sweet and welcoming woman. I wish I could have taken her home with me! Our two-night stay here was wonderful. As soon as we arrived after a day’s drive we were made to feel so welcomed. Eilish immediately ushered us in, saw we weren’t enthusiastic about finding a place for dinner so she even offered to make us one! Our room and bathroom were large and extremely comfortable with excellent Wi-Fi. The location was outside of the city’s fray yet easy to get into the city center. Breakfast was amazing with early coffee left outside our door and delicious options catered to our vegetarianism. We felt comfortable making ourselves at home, which you can’t always count on when you’re in someone else’s residence. You’ll be very fortunate if you can land here for a stay!

Eilish is an amazing host and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived! She really went above and beyond, even ironing my husband’s shirt before we attended a wedding. Redgate house is beautiful, and our room was very clean and comfortable. Eilish also kindly prepared a delicious breakfast a little earlier for us so that we had time to eat before we left the next day. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough as a base to explore Derry!

Everything was great, no complaints at all!

An outstanding Bed and Breakfast. Eilish was a friendly, welcoming host. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We particularly liked the wallpaper, which set off the entry hall to perfection. The location was great for exploring the city the following morning, and Eilish provided great information regarding where to park etc.

Tea making facilities in the room would have been appreciated, but a minor concern, everything else was wonderful.

We were warmly welcomed by our lovely hostess, Ailish, who made us feel like friends. The house is beautifully furnished and very spacious, as was our room. Our bed was very comfortable and the house quiet at night, just right for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent too. Everything was perfect for us and we would definitely stay there again.

It is a car trip back into town to find a restaurant. However, there are plenty of places to choose from once you are there.

This is quite a location. It is in the suburbs of Derry and it is not a house, but a mansion on the (red-gated) hill. As we were the only guests at the time it was a little bit intimidating at first, but Eilish is a very good host and gave us a warm welcome. The breakfast she prepared just for us was delicious! There was a Happy birthday sign in the living room (I suppose for a grandchild that was just welcomed), but as it was also my birthday it was a nice touch :)

You will need a car or a taxi to go to the city.

I don't think I've ever had a warmer welcome than from the lovely Eilish! She is a thoughtful and warm host! Redgate house is stunning! I felt like a princess in a castle but very at home in this lovely place! Comfortable, spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast! Needless to say, I will return, and I highly recommend Redgate House. A real gem 🥰.

Amazing location overlooking Derry City. Our host was super pleasant and helpful, even going as far as to drive us into the city on halloween night and then drop us at the train station the following morning. Lovely breakfast in a beautiful living and dining area - the building is gorgeous.

The location is about 1 mile from the city. Not too far to walk by any means but it is very uphill so just be prepared if you're on foot. impossible to feel too inconvenienced by the walk when the cost of staying was such great value even on halloween night.

A touch of grandeur with a family welcome. The property is amazing, a real touch of class and we were welcomed with a hug from Eilish who couldn't do enough for us and immediately made us feel at home. The house is in a lovely position above the city. Eilish gave us helpful suggestions for our city wanderings and we were happy to walk home later and see more of the residential side
