We had a lovely stay here. The hotel is nice, staff were friendly, breakfast was very good and timing of our breakfast was completely flexible within the breakfast hours (ie no pre booking a time in advance or having to queue for a table to become free which seems to be common in many hotels now). Check in was easy, lots of parking right outside. There is a nice bar and a dining room area in the hotel. The price was good.

The only slight downside is the hotel is a bit outside the city, although the price is good so has reflected that I think. The hotel bar was also very quiet during our stay but again I guess that’s to be expected for a smaller hotel on a weeknight.

The staff were very professional and attentive. The hotel was clean and very quiet. The food was very good. I really enjoyed this hotel, the views and the location ws easy to get to.

Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off between 6-6:30am (false alarm), the toilets are old and had to hold the handle down to flush and the room was warm (my daughter would have loved). We slept with the windows open all night, which was actually nice. Not loud at all, except after the fire alarm the cows were lowing, oh well, time to get up lol

Lovely country hotel, quiet, really lovely staff, welcoming, great parking. Stayed with my sister and three kids between us. Rooms were spotless with tea/coffee/hot choc/biscuits provided. We dined in hotel and had a lovely evening meal and breakfast the next morning was wonderful. TV was a little small in the bedroom and rooms are more dated than say city centre hotels but cosy and I liked the country feel to it, had a little more character. Felt at ease with kids going up to room to get things when we were downstairs in the restaurant as it was that bit smaller/quieter & more intimate and they loved the freedom.

Very friendly staff. Room was lovely and very clean. Huge comfy bed and fluffy hotel pillows. On site restaurant and bar with good menu with a couple of vegetarian options. Very close to a main road but didn't hear it too much. The breakfast was excellent including a menu with Full Irish or Eggs Benedict 👍

There are a couple of rooms without a view and you look out onto a roof and a wall. We got to the room quite late and left early so not a major problem but worth knowing. Think it was room 101 and 102.

Everything from check in to check out, the staff were lovely. We had dinner there which was good and the breakfast was excellent. Plenty of parking and handy for getting into the city. Very good stay and would stay again but not in the same room.

We stayed in a triple room and although the linen and the pillows were good, the beds were horrendous (one was ok). One of us got no sleep, the other very little. The lift is very small but fine.

Great weekend stay at The Belfray, the staff are a credit to this hotel, they are so attentive and welcoming. Food here is excellent. We ate both nights there, our waiter, I think his name was Louis is excellent, checking with us to see if everything was ok, if we wanted anything else, nothing was a problem for him. Hotel is a short drive outside the city and so quiet. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Booking confirmation said we'd have a room with a view and we were looking at a wall.The recepionist was brilliant and got us moved. He hadn't allocated the room. Explained drawback of the room he moved us to but it wasn't an issue for us. It was our third time staying there Food is usually really good, but slight issues with our evening meal on Saturday night ,(took ages) and then at breakfast the next day they had major problems with their gas supply which probably didn't look so good to people who were there for their first time. But we had never encountered that on our previous stays. (And I have just made a further booking).

The welcome that you get when you arrive here is like coming home. In fact this has been our second stay in a matter of weeks. Staff are professional, kind and welcoming. There is a really chilled atmosphere about the Belfry. As a same sex couple sometimes the check in process can be a bit stand off-ish. The only way I can describe it as it's like staying with friends.

I can not think of a single thing I did not like nor can my partner.

Honestly just want to say a massive thank you, we could not fault our stay and the staff just went above and beyond for us! As we had a wedding, I requested early check in and somewhere were we could get changed prior to the ceremony, they had our room ready for 11.30 which allowed us to get ready comfortably and stress free! The following morning, they offered breakfast to the room for my partner, who wasn’t feeling too good following a successful wedding! They also offered myself a lift to the wedding venue to collect my car, saving me from ordering a taxi and then allowed us to take our time checking out, so we didn’t feel rushed! Honestly, cannot wait to return to the Belfray! The staff are 5*. It is so cosy and homely, rooms are spotless and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. Nothing. 10/10 stay.

Staff was exceptional, Mary, Sean, Luc, Lewis, and Ruth all were great, just to name a few. Initial issue with toilet fixed immediately. No AC, was a bit uncomfortable, but fans were provided and with sheer curtains on window were able to keep windows open without bug problem and night air was much cooler for sleeping. Overall great stay

Weather was exceptionally warm and no AC
