We had a great stay at the start of the Easter holidays. The staff were lovely, they couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. It was an enjoyable experience. Big shout out to Kai who remembered us from our last visit. He's a lovely young lad, can't do enough for you and will go far in hospitality with his bright and bubbly personality.
I felt the restaurant in the bar could have more choices in general on the menu and more gluten-free options, although they accommodated me fine when I mentioned it. Some of the food could have been a bit warmer mashed potato for one. Possible a net curtain accross the rooms in the back of the hotel for some privacy, especially rooms where the car parking spaces are. All in all everything else was good.

Thank you for your invitation to comment. A printed card in the bathroom invites guests, in reducing laundry, to hang towels on towel rails. There are no towel rails. Four damp towels can be hung small twin hooks on the bathroom door, or spread over bedroom chairs to support laundry reduction. The bath has two low level inbuilt handrails. No vertical wall-mounted hand rails are available. For the elderly, or those of a larger disposition, standing naked, while exiting the bath, is fraught with danger. As in modern practice, the toilet flush capability is not of dual flush design. There is no toilet roll holder in the bathroom. Toilet roll holders are horizontally aligned. Toilet roll storage is vertical. It is unsettling to handle a top roll, used by earlier room guests, from three vertically stored toilet rolls, on a routine basis. The bathroom sink drain was defective in that, despite numerous attempts, the drain cover failed to deploy or retain water within the sink. Bedroom window was seized closed. It is appreciated that a safety lanyard is fitted, and a handle has to be actioned, however the window would only open fractionally. In the restaurant, drinks, starter, and main were ordered. Starter and main arrived. The main meal, finger sized fillet of salmon, was inadequate and bore a too-striking resemblance in size to that available from low cost supermarkets. The meal also lacked the annotated portion of potato. Drinks, potato, and apologies, were served during the final stages of the meal and were respectfully declined due late presentation. Drinks were subsequently offered at no charge, and also respectfully declined. Hotel staff were helpful and approachable. Piano accompaniment in the lounge area was most enjoyable. The pianist is to be complemented.

Nice bar n lobby and good restaurant.
The prices in the bar were way too expensive. £7.10 for a pint of beer and £10.80 for a vodka and coke is ridiculous. The piano playing was nice but it played for far too long . We had to leave the bar and go to our room for a couple of hours to get our heads shared as it continuously played from before 1.00 in the afternoon until 9.00 at night . We then returned when the night music came on . Other people who I was talking to said the piano was the reason they left the bar as well . Also the tv was turned off in the bar and wasn’t allowed on after the rugby for some reason..

Thoroughly impressed with the exceptional staff. The bar staff were outstanding, providing excellent service. On Christmas morning, the breakfast was great with plenty of seating, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere by the very friendly team. The rooms were spotless, and the team was very responsive when I encountered an issue with the safe. We also appreciated how the staff made a point to say hello when passing. Highly recommend this hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Derry (from the city originally) and would recommend this over the others.

Lovely beds, spotlessly clean, friendly staff, plenty of parking. The foyer is spacious, bright and cheerful and there is plenty of seating. The location is on the city's outskirts so there was no noise at night. The free wifi was good.
Lots of little things need fixing - e.g. the razor plug in the bathroom doesn't work, the soap dispenser doesn't work, we couldn't find a switch that would work the overhead lights in the bedroom. I can't rave about the breakfast, we arrived at 9:30 and everything was cold.

Lovely hotel, well decorated, very clean and close to Derry. Spacious room and nice touch, jars of water. Plenty of parking. Evening meal was excellent and our server was Leanne who was so very nice. She is an asset to the hotel. Breakfast grapefruit segments were lovely.
Breakfast this morning, the fry and coffee were cool, definitely not hot. There had been a bus tour group in and although we were down in good time for breakfast, we felt we got the leftovers.

We were lucky enough to get a last-minute reservation at the Everglades during a driving trip around Ireland. Room rates were extremely reasonable as was the cost of the additional breakfast. Best of all the hotel staff were uniformly welcoming and helpful, even with slightly oddball requests like a just-before-closing order of sticky toffee pudding and ice water (the bartender gave us two large carafes) to take up to our room. The ice water came in handy as the rooms were a little stuffy at the peak of summer, but it was possible to open the window which helped cool things down. I should also mention the shower, which had spectacular water pressure not experienced in the United States since the 1970s! Breakfast was somewhat less spectacular—not the best full Irish we have had, though all the elements were there—but the Irish porridge served with Irish cream, honey, and an optional pour of Irish whiskey was a singular treat!
I only wish I’d had more time to hang out with a book on the comfy furniture in the first-floor sitting area.

I chose the room only option due to work commitments. The hotel is located on the periphery of the city, but still close enough to be able to access entertainment and restaurants with ease. Reception was clean, tidy and well presented, the bedroom was clean, as was the bathroom area.
I was awake at 5.30am due to two crying children in the room next door. More milk is required in the room for tea/coffee making facilities. When leaving the hotel I arrived to my car to find it to be blocked in by a lorry that was offloading barrier fencing. Workmen were very accommodating, moving their lorry once they had completed the first part of the offloading process. A little bit of foresight from management to reserve those parking places for the offloading and storage of the barrier fencing would have been helpful.

We had a lovely room looking out onto the grass towards the road. The bed was huge and so comfy - great for a little afternoon snooze and it was top class for a night's sleep. The carparking was excellent and extensive. Easy and cheap as well to get a taxi into town to see the sights and experience the sounds. What a city!!! Well worth a visit. We visited on a Sunday night and it was GREAT value for money.
Nothing comes to mind.

It was quiet and clean and warm and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly especially Leanne at reception. We ate in the hotel on our first night and the food was fab….as was breakfast on both days. We also celebrated our engagement during our stay so the Everglades Hotel will always be a special place that we hope to visit again soon. Thank you for having us…we had a great time 😀
