TV remotes are old fashioned and cable box located BEHIND the TV, very hard to use, called front desk staff to come turn on TV and show me how to use remote, had to hold remote above my head and sideways to get signal to cable box - a funny and foolish way to use a TV, especially with a 5 year old who just wants his Treehouse channel! coffee in room appreciated but only enough for one - there was 3 adults in our room. Not enough bath towels for a family of 4 only 3 towels. Staff were quick to give us 2 more.

This location is very convenient for travelers. It is so close to the ferry terminal, saving time and money on transportation. The prices are also reasonable, making it a budget-friendly option. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable accommodations near the terminal. It offers great value overall.

It would be greatly appreciated if the breakfast staff could be a bit more mindful of guests in the mornings. Many people are not fully awake yet and might be more sensitive. A little extra kindness and patience can go a long way in creating a positive start to the day. Mornings can be busy, but a friendly demeanor can make all the difference. The room was very comfortable and the beds were great. We had a fridge and microwave as well as a coffee/tea Keurig machine. The pool was good and the hot tub was warm, but a little “off” (perhaps needing chemicals?) and the jets did not work.😞 When we needed to shower/bathe, the water was great, but there wasn’t a bath mat which made the process very tricky for seniors. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel. Ricky’s All Day Diner is also part of this hotel which made dining simple.

All the staff members were very friendly. The room cleanliness was on an extra level, bed sheets and towels were perfect. The room was actually a bedroom and a den, the den had a fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine. There is a restaurant in the same building for an additional price and a DQ and MacDonald's nearby.

I didn't enjoy the complimentary breakfast as it only had boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, muffins and bagels, coffee and juice. I was missing some protein, sausages or chicken, cheese, etc. I wasn't able to enjoy a hot tub and a pool much since it was always busy, the tub is small (3 people max). The public transport is really bad in Nanaimo, the bus goes once an hour, so if you don't have a car you have to walk 30 minutes to the downtown.

Had an issue with the booking.com website. I had tried to book another motel but got an error message. I assumed that booking had not gone through so booked the Days Inn. Scott at the desk was soooo helpful and calmly went way out of the way to help us get the extra non refundable booking refunded. It takes ok awhile. The continental breakfast was good and very nicely laid out. Bed was very comfy. The pool and hot tub were great. Thanks again to Scott

I was in a completely updated room this time which was enjoyable. I was able to recover from jet lag and prepare for the next day easily. The bathroom is fully updated and it was nice to relax there.

The hotel has been renovating for a few months so there is a few things that aren't visually appealing. This is normal for the project. I wish they would get the new carpet in though as the bare concrete floors are yuck.

The staff was very helpful when we had a few minor problems in our room. We don't know why the air conditioners are so high on the wall. If you are not a tall person it was impossible to reach the controls. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel was quiet. We had the free breakfast once & it was satisfactory. We ate at Ricky's 2xx & the meal was tasty & substantial. The waitress offered us a smaller breakfast that was not on the menu & it was enough. Next visit we will bring our swimsuits as the pool & hot tub were mostly unoccupied. This is our 2nd visit & we highly recommend it. We actually booked an extra night. We were there 3 nights, not just 2.

We wish Wyndam would supply better quality toilet paper. We had to bring softer & thicker tissue in. The Keurig coffeemaker only would work once. It would go right away to brew & then shut off without making our coffee! We love our coffee so finally brought our instant coffee in. If the above mentioned can be improved we will be very happy! Thank you Wyndam for a very nice stay!

It’s nice and clean inside and outside. Looks a bit older of a building, but it’s a good place to stay.

The free breakfast. I thought maybe eggs or toast would be pre cooked and you’d be able to just dish up and eat. If I’d known it was self serve then I wouldn’t have bothered, just because of the time of it and it’s quite crowded in the space.

Furthermore, no noise from the road or surroundings, since we had a room at the rear. Just like everywhere in Canada, breakfast is rather ordinary, but you can certainly fill your tummy. Tasty waffles :)
