The staff was excellent! I have to give a special thanks to Saif who was very helpfull and friendly. Chef Ben for the lovely talk at breakfast and for making sure my food request was taken care of and also checking the next day how it was. Receptionist George really went all the way helping me out with some issues regarding my room and the coffee machine. All staff members took time to chat and ask how I was and if I needed anything. Really exceptional. Besides that, the room was very comfortable, much space, a good bed and a clean and large bathroom. I was visiting London to attend an exhibition at the Islington’s Business Design Centre and it is just a few steps from the hotel. Around the hotel there are many restaurants, barbershops and shops etc. I felt safe in the area.

Two night stay. Booked quadruple room for two adults and two teenagers. Arrived early the room was ready. We were delighted as we had an early flight that morning. The room was very spacious. No issues however a couple of hours later we noticed there was no heating on in the room. It was very cold. A lovely young man at reception came up to investigate and he moved us into two adjoining rooms. We were delighted with the outcome as the hotel was booked out. He was so professional friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very quiet. Slept great. Rooms were beautiful. All of the staff we had contact with were very professional and friendly. A credit to the hotel.

The only issue we had was breakfast in the executive lounge on the first morning as the arsenal team were in the hotel. The room is too small to cater for the rest of the guest unless time slots are allocated. When we arrived we were place at the only table left which was too low to the ground to eat breakfast from. We quickly moved from there when another space became available. The room does not work well for the flow of traffic that comes with buffet breakfast. Second morning was perfect as it was in the large eating area.

Hilton did their best to compensate not having a room at check in.

We were told at check in there were no rooms available. They overbooked! We were exhausted and they paid for us to go to another Hilton 15 minutes away. The check in person said the rooms weren’t up to standard, no water, electricity. Untruthful. Anyway, Hilton comped is the first night and upgraded our room the remaining nights. They also gave 25% off each night. It still was inconvenient but Hilton pleased us with the comps. Who overbooks? Hilton or Booking?

I asked for a quiet room as I was studying for important exams. I was given a room on arrival and it was very comfortable. There was a problem with a window not closing properly which I reported. It was found that it couldn’t be fixed. I was moved very quickly to an upgraded room in a quiet part of the hotel which was lovely and very unexpected. I would go back for an overnight stay..hopefully not to sit an exam!!

The little honesty shop was a lovely idea but very expensive so I didn’t buy anything from it. The phones were not answered very quickly at reception but it wasn’t a problem really as it took a few minutes to go down to reception to get help.

The staff were excellent. Very professional, helpful and courteous. They were very kind in letting me store my luggage at the hotel before the room was ready, and again after I checked out when we went sightseeing before our travel home. That was extremely helpful since it meant I didn't have to carry my luggage around town with me.

The handwash dispenser in my room was empty, and the plug in the sink had a problem where it wouldn't properly empty. I didn't complain since they were minor issues, and my son and I were exhausted by the time we got to the room, but they were both things room service should really have noticed when the room was prepared.

Location near the tube station and plenty of shops bars and restaurants nearby. The beds were comfortable and had a good nights sleep

Room was made up for 2 people when we were a group of 3 in one room , and also a half bottle of wine was left in the fridge when we arrived in our room , we have stayed here before and the room this time was smaller and the view wasn’t that pleasant just of buildings and nothing to look out on.

We had a great overnight stay at Hilton Angel Islington. We were very late checking in but the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The car parking was underneath the hotel (convenient although rather pricey!) Our room was on the 4th floor, a nice size room, all clean and good temperature, The location was good - about 20 minutes out of the centre of London which was great. I have a food allergy and the staff at breakfast were very helpful, indeed the entire range of milk free products on offer even in the little shop in reception was brilliant!

I really liked the way everything looked! The outside, the lobby, the bedrooms and I especially loved the bathroom. It was really big and the sink wasn’t annoying like most hotel bathrooms. The room had a clothes iron, hairdryer and fridge too. The fridge was big enough to fit 3 1L bottles in! Also it was near a lot of shops and the closest underground was an 8 minute walk and nearest bus was 5 minutes. The staff was also incredible and answered all of our questions with a smile. Would definitely book here again!

The one thing we didn’t like was the fact that breakfast was £18 per person, which is why we didn’t eat breakfast there. And you don’t need your key card when using the lift, meaning anyone could come up there. The few from our room wasn’t that pretty either.

The staff were friendly, polite, efficient and helpful throughout all areas of the hotel, we felt very welcome. Everything was spotless, the beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast was delicious and the waiting staff were attentive.. Check in was quick and easy and the reception staff were informative and beautifully mannered. The location was perfect for an event at the 02 academy.

Windows that don't open. I get warm easily so l like the option of fresh air from a window, even if it's just a slight opening for security. However to be fair we also did not contact reception to see if it was infact possible or if they might have a fan as an option, so maybe there were solutions had I asked
