We didn't like the fact that the room was cleaned every day, but they didn't change the towels, they just folded them and that was it. Shower gel and washing soap were rarely provided, I had to tell them to replenish what was necessary. Otherwise, everything was fine, clean, new furniture, great mattress, clean bed linen, all super. The sleep was sweet. The territory was clean. The reception staff was very kind. Thank you for everything.

The beer is expensive, regarding the breakfast it is very poor, it needs to be modified and more food assortment added, too much is enough. I did not feel the atmosphere of the food in Italy. Because I had lunch and dinner. At dinner very few vegetables, only meat and potatoes or one vegetable, no salads nothing. I felt a great shortage of greens. I did not have olives, cheese is the cheapest kind and stupid quality. Drinking water is expensive. I do not recommend you to eat in this hotel .During the time I spent resting in this hotel, it was my husband's birthday, I talked to his staff about making a surprise, a torch with candles. They made a torch and at dinner after work she made the surprise, it was very nice, thank you for this. Only I had to pay €25 for it.

lovely position, perfect beach, lovely swimming pool. Free sun loungers! but is was late September. Room usual standard hotel. Bathroom small and door into it blocked it worse, nice size shower. Sea view balcony 2 chairs but no table shame. washing line to dry swimming costumes which was good . We had half board. Breakfast was good and the selection of cakes were to die for, Sadly the fruit juice was horrible artificial bit like rise water. Dinners were good value and the wine was not over priced. Also they kept any left wine in bottle over for next dinner which was nice, touch. Staff where very efficient and pleasant considering the size of the dining room. Plenty of parking under pine trees.

Good location with a bus stop right outside the hotel, which makes getting to Alghero easy. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part, although some didn’t speak English, but communication was still manageable. I opted for half-board. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but it could use more healthy options. Dinner was a bit hit or miss. Sometimes you’d get tasty Italian dishes, but other times the “grilled fish with vegetables” would turn out to be frozen fish fillet served with peas. Desserts were underwhelming, though still a nice inclusion. Drinks and even water at dinner come at an extra charge, which isn’t ideal. The private beach was lovely, but it would be great if all rows of sunbeds were free rather than charging for the first row. As it is, guests often leave towels on the second row, which can make finding an available space tricky. The view from the room was beautiful and definitely a highlight of the stay.

For a 4 star hotel, I expected better toiletries. On arrival, there was only a tiny bottle of shampoo/body wash and a small soap. After the second day’s room cleaning, the half-used bottle wasn’t replaced, and nothing was provided on the third day either so I had to buy my own from a nearby market.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Portoconte — truly one of our best holidays, and we hope to return! The location is excellent, with a beautiful sandy beach and a great pool. The water is crystal clear, calm, and shallow — ideal for swimming. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well-renovated, with excellent noise isolation and air conditioning. Housekeeping was exceptional. It's a perfect spot for relaxation: far enough from nightlife to be peaceful, but close enough to Alghero for a short trip out. There were always enough sunbeds and umbrellas available. A small gym would be a nice addition.

The only downside for us was the food — while the quality was good, it didn’t quite match our personal taste, and we missed having typical Italian classics like pizza. Breakfast was a bit too basic and repetitive for a longer stay. Occasionally there was a mild odor from the bathroom drains, but it wasn’t a major issue.

Location is amazing with the beach at its doorstep. Large parking within the hotel. It’s in a perfect location between Capo caccia and Alghero town. Breakfast was excellent. Bread, cheese, cereals, croissants, cakes, fresh fruits. Dinner - We were expecting a buffet but surprisingly, the A-la carte was superb. We had different vegetarian options on all the 4 nights which we wouldn’t have been able to get if we had gone to a restaurant by ourselves. Also, the guest are allocated a fixed table in the restaurant everyday for breakfast and dinner which I think is a genius idea.

The accommodation has its own pool and beach. You also get your own towel. Breakfast is very good. For dinner, there is a two-course menu plus dessert. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The walls are very, very thin, as at night and in the morning you can hear everything when others unlock and lock their rooms or walk down the hallway with their suitcases. At dinner, they do not mention that drinks are charged extra, nor do they say how much they cost. When I ordered dessert at dinner, they did not bring it. The town is a 20-minute drive away.

The hotel is on a very beautifull beach. It is, sandy outside and inside the water. The whole hotel had everything that we need.for a holiday. The staff, especially the ladies and the one gentlmen at the reception were very helpfull. It is very clean, in the hotel as at the beach and at the swimming pool. It has excellent location. It is in front of the bus stop for Alghero. It takes around 20 minutes to there.

The breakfast could have been better. Small amount of proteins, a lot of carbs.

our honest opinion - we was told by the reception manager the pool was open 8am to 7pm which was not true they closed the pool at 6.30 everyday and they closed the pool from 12 until 3.30pm 3.5 hours!!! which is when you needed the pool. we thought that was unacceptable and also to get something just to be ironed you had to wait 3 days!! wanted to try the restaurant in the evening but they said it was full and it wasnt

Hotel Portoconte is lovely. Simple accommodations are clean and comfortable. The location with its private beach, large pool, and well-kept grounds offered instant relaxation. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop across the street to easily venture to other locations for excursions. I recommend this hotel.

Dinners in the restaurant were hit or miss...sometimes the food was great, other times not. As a solo traveler, I occasionally felt overlooked / forgotten by the waitstaff.

The hotel left a very positive impression with its well-developed outdoor infrastructure and a fantastic beach, where you could enjoy clean sand and warm water. The rooms were clean, and the food served at dinner was of high quality, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

However, there were some drawbacks. Not all staff members spoke English, which made communication difficult in certain situations. On my birthday, I didn't receive any acknowledgment or greetings from the staff, which was disappointing. The breakfast selection was quite limited, mostly offering sweet Italian dishes, so there was no option for savory food.
