Our stay at Il Porticciolo B&B was nothing short of unforgettable. Nestled in a beautifully restored historic house, this little haven captures the charm of Amalfi with taste and authenticity. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the most breathtaking view: the sparkling sea and the serene port stretched right in front of us, framed by the large windows of our room. Waking up to the soft sounds of the waves and watching the boats slowly glide toward the pier was pure magic. The room itself was spotless and serene, with a modern, spacious bathroom that felt luxurious and perfectly appointed. But the crown jewel is undoubtedly the rooftop terrace, where the panoramic views of the coast and the deep blue sea take your breath away. It’s the perfect place for a quiet moment at sunrise or a romantic evening under the stars. A very special mention must go to Silvia, who prepared the most incredible breakfasts every morning, using only the freshest ingredients—many sourced from the owners’ private gardens or nearby farms. From homemade jams to the fluffiest pastries, and perfectly ripened fruit to the most delicious eggs cooked to your preference, every detail reflected care and quality. And the cappuccino? Simply the best in town. Enjoying it on the terrace, watching the sea sparkle at dawn, was a surreal and peaceful experience we’ll never forget. We are also immensely grateful to Mena, who truly made everything seamless for us. From arranging our airport pick-up, to helping with logistics and even thoughtfully rearranging furniture for our comfort, she was always available, warm, and full of great recommendations. Her care and attention made us feel so welcome and cared for. Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Gianpiero, who picked us up from Naples airport and drove us to Amalfi—and back when we left. His perfect English, deep knowledge of the region, and heartfelt stories turned what could have been just a drive into a private guided tour.

My mum & I had a great stay here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a small issue on arrival but it was dealt with immediately. Communication with the property manger was very good, responding to any needs swiftly. The b&b is up a big set of stairs (like most hotels in Amalfi) so be prepared to have to pay someone to bring your luggage up for you or you can bring it up yourself (steep and 100+ stairs). The view is incredible, right along the cliff looking over the sea. Rooms were a bit out dated but the bed was comfy and all facilities worked great. (Good shower pressure & hot water). The lady who serves breakfast in the morning was extremely friendly (spoke minimal English) but tried to help where possible. Breakfast each morning was our favorite part of the day, eggs cooked to your liking, fresh coffee (espresso, lattes- and very good quality), very flavorful Italian tomatoes, croissants and bread. The breakfast area is at the top of the B&B, which is outside and looks over the ocean. Highly recommend this place, overall we had a great stay.

Very well located, walking distance from downtown Amalfi. Breathtaking view. Ana was nothing but spectacular. Very helpful and always with a smile on her face. One tip: to get to the property, use the stairs near the tunnel. It’s much shorter than the one from downtown

This place is an absolute gem! The room we got was very spacious with an adjoining bonus room with a sleep away couch. The room came with a mini fridge, tea kettle (with tea) which was an added bonus. The room and facilities were extremely clean! The staff was absolutely amazing, kind and helpful! The view was breathtaking! The roof top terrace (where breakfast was served) was a really nice bonus and gave us space to go hang out and enjoy the view! The included breakfast was more than we expected. The lady (very pleasant) served us at our table: fresh coffee of our choice (latté/cappucino), fresh croissants (with butter and jam), choice of eggs (hard boiled, fried, scrambled all made fresh), plate of fresh sliced tomatoes, yogourt, toast bread. It was a great start to our day. And she brought more if we wanted. The location was very good (minutes from the main street with all the shops and restaurants) except for all the stairs to go up.
There were quite a few stairs to go up to our room from the main street but that is to be expected for this area. The room was painted pink which made it seem a bit dated.

To be honest, after climbing the first 100 stairs up to this hotel I began to doubt our choice, especially caring a heavy pack. But I had read from others that this was the case and that the view would be worth it. They were right. Yes, it is 125 stairs and several ramps to the top, but what a top it is. We had the one downstairs room, which had just a tiny window for ventilation but no view. However, all we had to do was step out the front door and 3 feet away was a huge drop straight down and out to the harbor below. The room had wifi, a nice shower, was clean and quiet at night. The sweeping views were even more exceptional from the two more flights of stairs through the hotel to the top. This was the balcony where you have breakfast. An incredible view in a beautiful location. The breakfast was good. Choice of coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, plate of mozzarella cheese and tomatoes, and the best croissant we had in Italy! The lady did not speak English, but that didn't matter. There are at least 4 more rooms upstairs, but I enjoyed the quiet of our downstairs one. Either way, you can't go wrong. Over the course of the next 3 days we must have climbed and descended those stairs about 10 times, and yes, it seemed shorter and easier every time. A great price, a great view, a great place to enjoy Amalfi.
Adding a funicular to the top would be nice. Seriously, not much to complain about.

Great location, central but the place is very quiet. We got a room on the ground floor so our door was facing the sea. Our room was big, equipped with basic amenities. However, the highlight was the top terrace where breakfast was served. I dont think there is better in Amalfi. The breakfast was very good, simple but really satisfying with italian coffee, fresh croissants and homemade jam. I would definitely choose this accomodation again. Also to mention, the hosts were all really lovely and helpful. Thank you!
There is nothing to mention.

Excellent value for money in Amalfi. Superbly located, with spectacular views over the marina. Room was immaculately clean. The amount of steps up to the B&B was initially a bit of a shock but you got used to it and it justified the extra gelato's!! Many steps are common for lots of accommodation in Amalfi due to the town being built into a clif face. Breakfast on the roof terrace was very nice and a great start to the day. Superb place to stay.
Everything very good. Only slight issue was a air con was a bit noisy at night.

Everything was great! Beautiful and comfortable room, balcony. Breakfast was delicious, relaxing, and beautiful overlooking the water. The staff was lovely. Amalfi is on a hill so there are many outdoor stairs to get to the B & B but we pack light and like exercise so it was no problem. The view from the room and balcony definitely make the climb worthwhile.

it had nice views from the terrace, the room had a nice view, central location, reasonable price for Amalfi. the area is also quite quiet.
there was no safe. we also couldn’t get clean towels during our first 3 nights and even if we asked for our room to be cleaned. on our last night we ask our room not to be cleaned but they came and cleaned it and left fresh towels. we also found someone’s hair on the shower when we arrived. this was cleaned later. there were no options for breakfast and it included ricotta, tomato, croissant, toast, home made jam and Nutella and a yoghurt (no choice) every day. you can also get coffee and black tea but we are not huge coffee or tea drinkers so some other options like fruit or herbal tea or hot chocolate would have been nice. There are also quite a lot of stairs to the property so bare this in mind if you’re travelling with luggages.

what a cute little accommodation, so lovely, overlooking that famous view. the room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed . The roof top terrace is the highlight, the view at night is something else and that is where a very good breakfast is served. The stairs are more than manageable
