Endearing and accommodating staff who were a credit to the hotel. Wonderful gardens and beautiful views especially at breakfast. The garden suite room was spacious and inviting. Glad we went and B&B worked very well for us.

Breakfast was simple with a variety of choice and excellent coffee. The only disappointment was a significant extra charge for variety of eggs - poached eggs @€15. Given that we paid so much for the garden suite perhaps this could have been included. Perhaps as nobody was eating eggs with a charge better to simply remove it as an option. A coffee machine in the room would also have been welcomed. However, these are just minor complaints and overall we were more than satisfied

The breakfast and the location are the best part of the hotel as well as the people who work there, specially waiters.

The hotel needs an urgent update in bedrooms and bathrooms. Most of the rooms don’t have complementary coffee or tea .A machine or kettle would be great. Another disadvantage is that many rooms are outside the main building so you have to climb stairs to get to your room. The better view you want, the more you have to climb.

I have stayed a number of times at this hotel and this time brought along 8 of our friends who also fell in love with the hotel, its staff and location.

Bearing in mind we were returning guests and brought an additional 8 people (4 rooms), ours was the worst room - no sea view and they were using a JCB outside our room from 8.00 am to build the road to the new additional rooms that have been built. So a bit disappointed ☹️

Breakfast was fabulous! There was everything you could possibly want, including a table where the chefs would make you omelettes or fried eggs. There was a lovely table of fruits which were replenished when empty.

The bed and the pillows were a little hard for my taste. Softer, squishier pillows would have been better and a mattress softener.

Breakfast was standard, nothing mind blowing but has what’s you expect and lots of variety. The pool was great, even if salty, and the lawn chairs on grass were great.

Fresher ingredients, more local ingredients, better spreads. The lunch and dinner were quite expensive for what it was. The annex is not too far away yet still an uphill walk.

Location

Ageing hotel. Rooms in need of some update …. Not even a proper shower (handheld shower head and a very narrow bath and cheap shower curtain). No irons in the room. My daughters had a classic room but that came with no kettle or safe. Breakfast was fine apart from not having an egg chef and you were expected to pay extra for eggs cooked other than scrambled. 10 Euros for an omelette!

We received an upgrade which was lovely and the room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast area was also so lovely. The area is great as the beach is very nice and there are many restaurants walking distance.

Our door didn’t lock and over the 3 nights we spent there and asking the staff to fix it multiple times, they never got to the bottom of it. The pool area could also have a bit more of a luxe feel but overall everything was great.

Superb location. The staff was very friendly, always ready to help with a smile. The room was comfortable with view over the bay. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The piano player every evening allowed us to enjoy beautiful music around the pool. We enjoyed every minute of the stay

Not much to say. The bathroom fixtures could be updated.

The staff were extremely friendly and were willing to help with any requests. Excellent location with beautiful views of the bay.

Small things, mostly maintenance items, that should have been resolved for a hotel of this standard. Blackout curtain broken, light bulbs not working…and a cloth shower curtain that should really be a glass screen. Daily checks of these items would ensure a perfect stay.

Wonderful location, overlooking a beautiful beach with complimentary sunbeds. Beautiful spacious room with exceptionally comfortable and large bed. The most outstanding aspect aside from location, the staff - they couldn't have been more charming and professional. Honestly can't wait to book our next visit!
