Some how booking.com told property we were 3 people, consequently they found a triple. I paid for two junior suites. Our companions had a huge room, painted, chairs, table, actually in the brochure. We had a dark, dreary small room under the eaves, nothing special. I asked is this a junior suite? Yes. Finally we were shown to far nicer rooms, more a junior suite. Somehow since they made up a third bed, they wanted me to use it. Nowhere was there a baby in our reservation.clerk recommended a restaurant nearby, been closed for weeks

We absolutely loved this hotel. We felt like we were staying in a palace and the whole experience felt very authentic and was one of our most memorable stays in Italy. We appreciated the included toiletries and the room was spacious and had a very large window you can fully open. This was hands down one of the best breakfasts we had at a hotel in Italy. They had an assortment of savoury and salty foods and I had the best cream filled croissant in all of Italy here (the one with the yellow cream). The location was very central and you can easily walk to restaurants and shops within minutes. For the price and quality of our stay, this hotel is an absolute must when visiting Ascoli. We will definitely stay here again when whenever we visit.

Don't follow the GPS if you are driving as you can't drive directly to the hotel without passing a ZTL no drive zone which you will be fined for if you are not a resident. I would recommend parking about 5-10 minute walk away for ease of mind and convenience. Also, the room felt very dim and dark. I would suggest additional lighting.

I loved the experience of staying in a former palace. My room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the quality of the toiletries provided. The location was minutes from major attractions such as Piazza Del Popolo. There were bonuses such as croissants, biscotti and coffee on offer in a salon all day. There was a coffee machine in my room. Value for money was outstanding.

Although breakfast was, generally, excellent I did think the scrambled eggs were reheated and served again the next day.

The hotel has a very central location for short walking distance to all major visitor attractions in Ascoli Piceno. The room was huge, and the hotel had a nice backyard and friendly personnel, especially at breakfast. The personnel took care of our car and returned it at departure day without any hesitation.

The shower did not work well because it had only hot water. We complained, but no fix was performed during our two night stay.

The staff, particularly Marta, Arianna, and Cristina were lovely and very helpful. Their tips on the best restaurants and things to do were great. The building itself is beautiful, breakfast was good, the city was very interesting.

Poor wifi connection in my room. However, it is good at reception. I don't think the tv in my room worked. However, I wasn't really keen to watch it anyway.

Very central hotel, perfect for visiting the wonderful city centre. Beautiful old building, I liked the inner courtyard with columns at all levels and the vaulted rooms for breakfast.

Because of extensive restoration works all over the centre, access by car was a little challenging despite the directions sent by the hotel and the parking facilities were strained, even out of season.

Very comfortable room within easy walk to main squares. Nice breakfast with extremely friendly hotel staff in the breakfast room and in the guest services area. Great bath products as well.

Parking is a challenge but we opted to valet which made it easier. Our AC unit was tricky to operate but staff was helpful.

From the first correspondence to checkout, this was exactly what you hope a hotel stay might be. It’s a beautiful property in the heart of Ascoli Piceno, with a friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed and the breakfast buffet is bountiful.

Because it’s a sprawling ancient palazzo, you may to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find your room. The shower would benefit from more pressure.

The WLAN is dodgy. And is in midst of the old town. Arriving at dark I would not have found it without the assistance of two local ladies.

It's amazing to sleep in an renaissance palace. It's also a couple of steps from the main square. Good breakfast. Big room.

A bit of smoking smell. The hotel badly needs a renovation, specially the plaster and painting of the walls. You can't call 4 stars to hotel with falling plaster
