The director/manager Angelo was so wonderful, informative and engaging. Actually, all of the staff were professional, courteous and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, with a wide variety of food. Our time at the spa was equally magnificent, where we were pampered and well taken care of...highly recommend. The assistance with our luggage was sincerely appreciated. AND the view is to die for! The short walk to the old town was very convenient.

There is nothing the hotel can do about it, but being an old, tall, narrow building means there are many stairs, and different staircases. We were grateful for the railings but could have used a bit more railings and lighting to navigate them safely.

Il Maggio is simply beautiful. The views are amazing and our room had a lovely view of the town of San Querico D'orcia. Someone bought the property and put quite a bit of money into the renovations to make it comfortable. The property as is just celebrated their fourth anniversary.

Shower could have been a bit cleaner and the shower temperature was regulated - being one who loves a warmer shower, this was annoying. The TV volume was also restricted so it wasn't even worth trying to watch. Better soundproofing would surely help, though not sure how that could be accomplished. When we checked in, we were not told about the on site gym and the spa details were always hard to come by. Other than those small details, we totally enjoyed our stay there - the staff is lovely and quite helpful. The location is wonderful as well - close to several of the hill towns and other interesting places to visit if you have a car. Mille grazie, Il Mirragio!

The room and amenities were beautiful. The staff from last year was spectacular! Gian Luca is the absolute best and a real pro. He should be hotel manager! Total asset to the company. Lorenzo at the bar and restaurant amazing guy. Even tried to help with air conditioning. Mauro(he owns 4 cats) was there again and another great team member. Pool lovely and quiet. No children really on the property so a true blessing. It was quiet and peaceful everywhere. As a couple or adult perfect!

Air conditioning in my room either was broken or did not go below 23C. I think it was set to go no lower. We reported it but it was not fixed. The truffle dogs barking at night does not allow you to sleep with the windows open because they literally bark all night long. We didn’t notice last year because our air conditioning we could adjust lower and didn’t need the window open. The man in the evening at the front desk needs more training. Last year the night front desk person was a real pro. This gentleman just needs some intensive customer service skills and people skills. Not horrible but just needs more hospitality people customer service skills.

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were pleasant, kind, and extremely helpful, providing excellent recommendations for attractions and restaurants. The view from the property was breathtaking, especially the sunsets that beautifully captured the beauty of Tuscany. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and I was particularly impressed with their extensive wine knowledge, which added a special touch to the dining experience. Highly recommend!

I was disappointed that the gym and pool were closed due to the season (end of winter) and high winds. It would have been nice to use these facilities during my stay.

Stunning hotel in a beautiful location. We stayed the week after we got married for a “mini moon” before our main honeymoon in January. Staff were attentive and very knowledgeable. Our waiter Gian Luca even gave us a map and highlighted areas that he recommended we visit as we had a car. Food was absolutely delicious - we ate in the hotel on two of our four nights. The first we had the fish tasting menu and the second we ate off the a la carte menu. Breakfast was equally delicious, with a range of options to choose from and an additional menu for cooked items. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the service is incredible from the reception staff, waiters and housekeeping team. Facilities are brilliant; the rooms have everything you need. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and will return!

This place is beyond words. Our trip to Tuscany was absolutely the highlight of our vacation and it was just thanks to Il Miraggio. From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff was friendly and helpful. We were welcomed in the lounge with Prosecco and some snacks while they were busy taking our bags to the room. They did a custom wine tasting for us, booked our spa sessions and also booked our wine tour to one of the new local wineries. The room we booked had an amazing shower and bath. I would really recommend booking here if you ever travel to Tuscany

The hotel and staff were exceptional, and the attention to detail with all the decor was exceptional. The staff were all amazing. We must mention a special thank you to luca, who served us for the majority of our stay. He always greeted us with a smile and treated us with great respect. Thank you to all the team. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

What didn't we like? Me & my partner stayed at Il Miraggio as part of our honeymoon after being married in Italy and it was nothing short of perfect from start to finish! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, classic Tuscan architecture but with a modern feel which blends perfectly together, the views are of course stunning, our room was spotless and well kept, they cleaned the room everyday. The star of the show however are the staff, everyone there from reception to even the house keeping are all smiles and very welcoming, special mention to Micoh who we no doubt annoyed by the end with our constant whatsapp'ing with requests or dinner reservations! He was always happy to help and nothing was too much of a bother, the staff here really stand out as the star of the show and you will be very well looked after staying here!

The food, the service, the incredibly attentive staff. Everything was exceptional! When we first showed up, we were a little wary of being out of a bustling city Center. We were immediately greeted with the most beautifully decorated, pristine courtyard & a glass of Prosecco. Anthony, Maria & Serena were all amazing. They helped us make the most of our stay and we were truly so sad to leave. We mistakenly forgot to book a car and the hotel manager Anthony literally drove us to a recommended winery, arranged a beautiful tasting & lunch, waited for us to finish and then drove us back. I’m not joking when I say the service is exceptional. This hotel is very special and made such a memorable honeymoon destination. We are already looking into when we can come back.
