The staff was very kind and the location is perfect for reaching the main attractions. I got fresh towels every 2 days and the room was being cleaned everyday. The included breakfast was basic, but good enough to start the day.

I am a hard sleeper, but I have noticed that the walls are very thin therefore you can hear sounds coming from outside quite well. There is also a water pump in the toilet which makes noises when you use the water.

- Super friendly hosts & great communication - Comfortable, clean and big rooms - Not far from the old town (ca. 15 minutes walk) - Private parking in the court for 10 € a day (you have to reserve the space before). I would definitely use this opportunity because it's pretty hard to find a parking spot on the street (only for a few hours or only for residents)

- I was little bit cold at night because the blankets were a little bit too thin for me. But you can use the AC and heat the room up

Great location, comfortable and spacious rooms, clean, easy to get in/out, great breakfast room. Great easy and comfortable checkin through whatsapp, unfortunately not all employees are aligned with these communications and so I had a bumpy checkout.

They need to place some anti-mosquito solutions like the ones you connect to the wall, mosquitos where terrible, didnt let us sleep and we woke up full of bites, also a fan in the room during april-may before having to use the air conditioning of the summer. It was hot at night and opening the window only brought in more mosquitos and lots of noise.

-clean rooms: yes the building is old but you know this in advance. The price off season is reasonable and you need a clean place to stay overnight while exploring the city during the day. -very fine breakfast included.Italian breakfast is sweet, respect the culture and be happy with what you get. They also were very nice to offer us some eggs. There were also many drink and milk options -location: very close to everything. The neighborhood was also safe and fun to walk around. There is a big park nearby with very nice homeless people overnighting there, be kind and give them some food,they are so thankful for it. -parking, 1 spot available , book in advance. Otherwise you can park in the streets near the park which are free from 8pm and before that 0,80 euro/h. -they do daily cleaning of the room, fresh towels and some shampoo is provided. -very nice and polite staff and owner. The young guy at the frontdesk was very helpful and offered help with the luggages. The young girl serving breakfast was such lovely lady. The cleaning lady was also very nice to see every morning. -finding the place was easy with the instructions and movies the owner had sent in advance. -there is a new elevator -checking in at any time with the codes provided. -in the breakfast room you have water (purchasable) at any time, you have ketel to make tea or coffee too. - I asked them to place iron in my room and they did that in advance.

-the doors are noisy as this is an old building and unfortunately people don’t try to open and close the doors silently, maybe the owner can fix the doors to prevent them from shutting close this harsh…?! -noise from the street but this you can assume in advance when booking accommodations in the center of a city, you came to explore the city no? -the WC the and the water usage in general makes noise because of the age of the building and the pipes, know this in advance and get over it as thus also has it’s charms.

Stuff was really kind and fixed my problem with not working air conditioner. Also let me leave my luggage final day after checkout when exploring the city. The accommodation is in great location near main street and close to the city center. Also appreciate 24/7 reception as I arrived late in the evening.

The rush from the main street was something I expected, but when being accommodated close to the breakfast room, you hear every step of anyone walking there, not telling you about conversation they had. Need to slept with the earplugs.

Hotel is within walking distance of the town center. It feels secure and in a somewhat quiet area of the city. Staff is welcoming and very accomodating, I did check in early, and they stored my luggage the next day. Room is clean, spacious, with all the mods a traveler might need. There was a good variety of food for the breakfast.

A rather noisy macerator pump every time you, or the neighbouring room use the toilet . The automatic mosquito spray, and the ambulances passing the main avenue regularly, also sources of noise pollution.

I don't know where to start... maybe I'll start by saying that it's been a long time since I wrote an opinion with such great joy. It's been a long time since a place exceeded expectations so much. The hotel itself is a great building with a courtyard, an elevator typical of Italy or France, a charming interior and beautiful, spacious rooms with a very pleasant view of the Bellini Park or Etna :) Breakfasts are typically Italian "Dolce vita", wonderful crispy croissants, Nutella, jams, cappucino, cookies... everything you need to make your day special in the morning But all this, even daily cleaning and very frequent replacement of towels, is nothing compared to the cordiality and hospitality of the people who run this place. I felt like I was staying with my best friends. For 10 days I was a member of this wonderful family. I was well-groomed, interested and... I felt loved. Even the hotel guests were as if attracted by a magnet of cordiality. My expectations were much, much lower than what I received. I will remember this and all my subsequent stays in this place for the rest of my life, because I am sure that it will be my permanent place for holidays in Sicily. I loved Katana, I loved the hotel, and I loved this special trio who made it feel like paradise.

I am disappointed that this wonderful time ended so quickly. I miss you, dear friends!

The room may have been simple but it was clean and big with lots of storage for clothes and other stuff. The personnel were so friendly and helpful in every way possible. After we checked out we asked if we could leave our luggage their before our flight that evening and they were so kind to let us do it. Very grateful for the good service and three great nights.

The AC wasn't very effective so you had to turn it down to a pretty low temperature but it worked in the end.

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The self-check-in process was easy to follow, even though I arrived after hours. The 24-hour kitchen was a great convenience, the breakfasts were sweet (crossaints, cookies, yoghurt), but one morning the staff offered cooked eggs. The location was perfect, with everything within walking distance.

Finding the room seems to be a major issue in Italy most places are lacking in this area. once we found the giant door it was a challenge to get into the room. I pulled in to the courtyard with my car thinking it would be OK but i ended up parking in the wrong place . But after some negotiations I am grateful I was allowed to move my car and park inside.
