We enjoyed our stay at 454 Etnea so much! The location was ideal for getting around Catania - walking distance from main attractions and shops. The room had everything we needed and breakfast was delightful with fresh coffee made to order. However the highlight of this location was the staff. Ander was so friendly and helpful. I have never raved about the cleaning of my room. The cleaning staff not only kept the room clean, but reorganized and anticipated our needs in ways we did not expect at all. Kudos to this lovely place, would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to Catania!

The only thing we would suggest adding to the room is tissues.

Many things (local team (thanks Anderson!), high quality silent room, breakfast, bed, good location, …). (The connection to the airport is easy with the Alibus, stopping 100 meters from the Via Etnea 454).

Just to take as tip to improve the splendid quality: - On the booking.com site the room is having à balcony (which was not the case): did we misinterprete?

Great location, clean rooms. Parking was around 7minutes walk but we enjoyed the stroll. Receptionist cum service personnel was friendly and helpful.

We thought they had free parking but the safe parking was a bit far.

Our host Michael was very friendly and helpful. When the refrigerator didn’t work he provided a new one within 2 hours. Breakfast is normal continental. Etnea 454 is close to Bellini Park where you can see a good sunset and Mt. Etnea. I can recommend Etnea 454 to everyone who wants to stay calm. Comfort Room. Room is enough spacious and clean. The hotel is situated perfectly near the center of Catania within walking distance. The room was modern and quiet. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast (coffee, bread, fruits, cakes, joghurt ... ), gluten-free breakfast was also available. The owner of the hotel is very helpful and provided a lot of informations during our stay in Catania.

Very comfy bed, shower worked and the staff amazing. I have never seen a room cleaned so well and every day. The maid did a great job! Breakfast was fine too. Sound proof wise it did its best, nothing can protect you from the loud motorbikes that echo around the streets at night, so if you have trouble with noise bring earplugs wherever you stay!

It was a little warm on some days / nights in the room and the air con wasn’t working or not switched on in general. Probably because it wasn’t hot by local standards but coming from 5-10c to 25c you aren’t acclimatised and feel the heat more. It wasn’t uncomfortable apart from one night so I didn’t bring it up to Anderson. I am 109% sure they’d sort that out for you if ask.

The staff was very friendly and supportive during our whole stay. We had a nice spacious room (17 m2 with extra couch) on the 2nd floor with a good bed and a modern and very comfortable bathroom. The room was located to the back and it was absolutely quiet. Breakfast was great with a good variety including fresh fruits and very delicious capuchino. There was a modern elevator. The house is on a big main street leading you right into the center. It takes a little while to get to the cathedral but the restaurant areas already start at 5 minutes walking distance.

The balcony was small and not really intended for sitting outside (no furniture) which was different from what we were expecting. Everything else was just great!!!!

Parking situation

I hate to give 10/10 but here we were given a spotless service hence I have no other choice. Alessandra the host was taking super good care of us, grazie mille!

Nothing bad, tutto bene. (footnote: anyone who arrives by car must plan for the parking! Right in front of the apartment there is no parking. Neither proper parkhouse nearby.) Just saying...

The location was close to many good restaurants, shops and a large beautiful park. Alessandra was an excellent hostess. She waited to welcome us when we arrived late due to a missed flight connection. She contacted a taxi driver who was great and got me to work early and the later to the train station. She was helpful with providing information about the area. Breakfast was very good each day and she made our stay a fun one.
