The San Max Hotel was a perfect place to stay for our last night in Sicily before flying home. Staff were great in getting us a taxi booked for early in the morning and letting us know about the hotel. The room was fine and even a lot bigger than we needed. The requested second bed was set-up and waiting. It is not high luxury but it was clean and in a very central location.

The pool wasn't operating and we had been looking forward to that and the room was a little warm in the night. I would have liked to be able to open the door but since we were lower down it didn't seem safe.

The location of the Hotel was really great, close enough to the centre but not super busy or loud. Breakfast was fine, if you take a typical Italian coffee and croissant for breakfast. Pool was nice to have, although we did not make use of it due to weather and other factors. Water tank and coffee available at reception is great.

The bathroom smelled not so good and the aircon location was a bit annoying as it was directly above the bed so either you are being blown on and freeze or you turn it off and its way too hot.

The position of the property, very close to the centre, but quiet. Clean room, daily cleaning and changing of towels if needed, Italian breakfast included. Daily fill of toiletries.Friendly staff. Coffee corner at the reception.

Our room was pretty big, and it was a bit cold, considering that the apartment building does not have heating, and air conditioning could not warm it well enough in the period we stayed there. The only drawback, otherwise everything else was fine

it’s in great place, near to Villa Bellini which is beautiful & on the airport bus route so really easy & cheap to get to the rooms are spacious the staff are very welcoming & the coffee/tea & cool water ‘on tap’ in reception was so welcoming & also complimentary so we were very hydrated the pool area was really good for Catania & there was an outdoor shower & the swimming cap & towel were loaned by the hotel the breakfast was included & we had quite a bit of choice as two people who can’t eat gluten or dairy products

This elegant hotel was a fantastic experience in Catania. Located close to all the major attractions, the staff were so friendly and helpful pointing out the best things to do and where restaurants are located. The hotel was very safe and secure and the room itself was massive. Breakfast was a buffet that had a range of sweet and savory pastries, yoghurts, fruits, bread and other bits and pieces.

Our mattress had a very big dip in the middle of both sides, which we slid into while trying to sleep. We got around this by rotating the mattress 180 degrees.

Nice pool area, free cold water dispenser in the reception, rooms were clean and conformable for a reasonable in a good location, very close to the airport bus stop and a short pretty walk into the centre. Also hotel is very close to the botanical garden which are free and very pretty.

The only annoying thing is that every morning and afternoon u need to obtain the code for the pool which means having to deal with the reception staff which was a daily painful experience..

For 2 nights stay it was very good and comfortable, clean room with daily room service. Staff were very nice helpful. Location is on Main Street of Catania, 10-15 minutes walk to main square, with lots of F&B points around. Bathroom was little bit off, toilet and bidet were little bit out of date :))) Would suggest to book the place for 2 days if you spend all the time outside. Would not suggest anyone to stay in Catania for more than 2 nights, as you can see every sight in these period. Thanks again to staff for welcoming us and making our stay more enjoyable.

The location is excelent, right in the middle of the city, hundred meters from the Bellini park and from the best pasticcerie of Catania! Easy to arrive by bus from Fontanarossa Airport, but stay on the bus and do not follow Google Maps instructions (which tell you to get off at Catania Centrale). Ask the conductor to tell you when you are in via Etnea.

Breakfast should be improved. There are no oranges (I mean we are in Sicily!) and no real caffè espresso, but coffee from automatic machines. Not exactly what you would like to drink when you get up.

- the staff is nice. Max was very helpful. He gave many good tips about the city - hotel location is good. Its very close to duomo. Its around 30 to 40min walk to cebtral train station but the bus connections are also there. - for the price the room was nice and clean with air conditioner

- the breakfast was quite basic. Some of the cups had stain, they were not dirty but just had stain, maybe its time to update some cutlery and cups. - for the body was some packets were given. Peobably its just better to install a bottle, also good for the enviroment. All in all there wasnt much to dislike. For the price the hotel and location were quite nice.

Good location, big room, if there is not any renovation , the room is silent.

Breakfast needs improvement, at the inferior level was renovation, they made big noise.
