We received a warm welcome on our arrival and this continued throughout our stay from all staff. Everyone one strived to make sure our stay was the best it could be. A special thanks to Claudia for making our stay so enjoyable. Although the location of the hotel is just off a main road it was very tranquil with lots of outdoor seating in the well-kept gardens. We walked easily in to Certaldo and to the station to go to Florence and Siena. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety and it didn’t matter if you went early or later there was always a well stocked selection. Our room was very comfortable with daily housekeeping including change of towels. The pool was amazing very clean and comfortable sun beds with sun umbrellas and shady areas.

We had a superior room, it was a good size and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed with a good shower and plenty of towels and soaps. Breakfast was good, continental style with some hot options if wanted. Also the coffee was good. There is a big garden area along with a smaller pool area with a bar handy for drinks and snacks. The location is very good with a short walk to Certaldo train station, where regular trains get you to Florence,Pisa and Siena, also Certaldo itself is a short walk, where you can get a funicular to the hill top village with its choice of nice restaurants and beautiful views. All in all we had a fabulous stay, and special thanks to all the staff who were so helpful and welcoming.

Well kept hotel with excellent staff. Ideally located for trips to Florence and Siena, be it by car or train (only 10 min walk from station), and San Gimignano. Plenty of choice at breakfast and lovely gardens to eat it in.

It was very quiet when I stayed so not sure if bar opened in evening. This is about hotel but Certaldo is extremely quiet and not set up for tourists with the exception of the old town on hill which is lovely and has a couple of decent restaurants. Very good free pop/rock concerts at the end of June.

Beautiful traditional building, modernised but full of features from its past as a Mill. Beautiful gardens and pool area with plenty of furniture to relax. Lots to choose for breakfast. All the staff are exceptional, welcoming and most helpful. Very clean. Great location, just a short walk from the ancient town centre.

The room was big and very nice. 3rd floor. nice view to the pool. Parking in front of hotel - enough space. The staff were great. They welcomed us with 2 glasses of Kava and olives due to the marriage anniversary. The pool area is beautifule

The pool is medium in size, but was not clean. 10 minutes was to Certaldo center (please note that if you go to the festival, there is a 1.5 hours line for the Funicular!. Also, there were HAMAS flags in Certaldo old city was... :-(

The breakfast was great, offered both sweet and savoury (uncommon for Italy) options. The staff were wonderful, so kind and helpful and truly amazing. Special thanks to Claudia who was so helpful both before and during the stay. Pool area and garden were lovely, so lush and green and we spent many hours relaxing there.

I can't think of anything that could have been better!

Breakfast was good and the room was great with a nice balcony. Enjoyed our stay with the staff being really helpful and friendly, Certaldo was a great place to go and visit!

We couldn't find any plugs that fitted the kettle or coffee machine so had to take them into the bathroom and balance a coffee machine on the sink. Could've done with more light in the bathroom

The hotel is located in a charming and quiet town, on a hill with a picturesque medieval area. It’s close to the train station, making it easy to reach Florence or Siena. The building is nicely furnished, with a large parking area, garden, and swimming pool. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts were tasty.

We stayed 3 nights to have a rest, room was very nice, big enough, clean. Hotel staff was kind. You can rest by the pool or in the garden. Very close to Florence.

Breakfast could be better, not so many choices, which I expect in 4star hotel. Because of thin walls with next room we could hear one night the guests next to our room like they were in our room, which was pretty uncomfortable in the night, while they were watching TV and talking …

The most pleasing aspect was the service - the staff were amazing - particularly the lady who looked after the bar/food area (I believe her name was Francesca), she was constantly attentive and available. The other staff were great, but she provided quite simply the best customer service that I have ever experienced in a hotel. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. The aircon was very welcome; the weather was very warm outside. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

The only negative point was around the hotel being quite isolated. There are not many amenities close to the hotel. I did not have transport and taxis are not really available.
