My 11 year old son and I spent 4 glorious nights at this property. After a long train/car trip, we were welcomed with scrumptious meats, cheeses, caprese and bruschetta, and a warm welcome from Manfredi and the sweet cats. The location was perfect - rural and quiet yet close to San Gimignano and other wonderful towns. The new pool is stunning and provided a much needed respite from the 100 degree weather (thank you heat dome in Europe!). Breakfast was plentiful and yummy, especially the homemade focaccia which was addicting. The rooms and public spaces were spotless and tastefully decorated with family heirlooms. Olive oil is produced on the property - ask for a tour of the cellar and bring some olive oil home! I highly recommend Rocco Degli Olivi and hope to return one day! Tip: Discovered hiking trails and swimmable river in Colle di Val d'Elsa - Sentierelsa Trail, 25 minutes away - fabulous and refreshing! PS: Miscommunication between Booking.com and the property regarding our request for a twin-bedded room. We ended up sharing a bed which was not ideal but did not detract from our wonderful stay.

The accommodation itself is spotless, comfortable, spacious, and tastefully arranged. The entire estate feels warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to unwind and an ideal base for exploring the heart of Tuscany."

A simply stunning location. Our stay was everything we hoped for and more and we were very sad to leave. Manfredi is a superb and welcoming host who makes the best focaccia in Italy! We were treated to fresh loaves each morning for breakfast along with his own olive oil. He even had English breakfast tea and milk which was brilliant as a tea drinker travelling in Europe. Ginger and Macchia, the cats, were very cute. A must stay if you are in the area.

Manfredi was a very kind, polite and helpful host. He was also kind enough to give us recommendations on the area. The location is great, very close to San Gimignano, quiet and the view just incredible. The building is very beautiful and charming from looking at it from the outside. The room was clean and we were offered a daily cleaning. Very relaxing to sit outside and enjoy your coffee while looking at the nature. The WiFi was working sufficiently.

Some suggestions from our side would be a mosquito net (at least at the window) so that you can let the fresh air come in. Otherwise flies and insects come inside the room. A trash can in the room, apart from the bathroom, would be also handy. A nice to have option for some guests would be a small TV. A second towel hanger in the bathroom would be much appreciated, as there was not enough space to hang a second one. Hand soap and shampoo were provided but unfortunately no shower gel. Lastly, an extra pair of pillows with pillowcases would make our sleep even better

The hosts (cats and human) have just been wonderful. The owner is very kind, knows a lot about the region, can give you many recommendations, and makes an excellence cappuccino. The view to the countryside side is exceptional and you can enjoy it every day while having a great balanced (continental) breakfast. It is a quiet little paradise not only for the cats living there but also for its human guests :) We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you for an amazing time Manfredi, Macchia and Ginger :)

We are both tall people, so the bed was a bit short for us. But other than that still very comfortable :)

There was nothing we disliked

The host is very nice and welcomed. He also shows us around the premise. The surroundings with amazing parnaomric view is perfect for pictures. We have a decent room with comfortable bed. The location is quite closed to the old town with few mins driving. The host briefs us where to park the car and recommendation on restaurants which we enjoyed the dinner. Breakfast is included which is a bonus to us. We'll come back again and stay longer.

It was situated beautifully in the hills just outside of San Gimignano with lush olive and grape trees surrounding it. The terrace outside offered a stunning view of the Tuscan countryside. We loved the fact that the estate carried so much history, dating back some 250 years, while belonging to the same family all these years. It is clear that they treat this place with love, since it’s oozing of it.

That we didn’t stay longer!

Very nice and helpful host. He gave us a lot of advises about destinations where to go. Very nice breakfast - by nice weather you can eat outside with a beautiful view. We liked our stay Very much. The hotel has a good location to make different trip around Chianti area.

In the room there was too high bed. It was difficult - the high of matraze was about 1 meter what is not so convinient.
