Our stay here was absolutely wonderful from start to finish!!! The staff was absolutely wonderful, especially Stefano! The breakfast was great and the best cappuccino we have had so far. Hotel Collegiata is so serene and relaxing. The grounds are well kept and the pool was a great way to spend the afternoon. You are about a 20 minute walk to San Gimignano which we did about twice a day and was a great way to get our exercise. You can drive as well but highly recommend the walk.

Nothing to do with our stay at Hotel Collegiata, but I highly recommend booking any trips to wineries for meals or tastings well in advance of your stay! Research restaurants outside of the city in advance and make some reservations for an authentic Tuscan dining experience.

Amazing place to stay, big rooms great aircon comfy beds. The hotel itself and the grounds, gardens and pool are superb. We would have stayed longer if we could have, we did not want to leave. The staff are excellent in particular Stefano he made our stay the best of our entire trip. To note you will enjoy if you have a car, the 25 min uphill walk to San giminano in the summer is a hard slog, but a bus does go every hour from the road near hotel. Also the hotel does a light lunch and dinner service....not a restaurant as such but bar snacks burger and pizzas if you want to relax and not have to drive out for dinner.

Our stay at La Collegiata was wonderful! It’s a lovely boutique hotel reminiscent of a bygone era. It's a tranquil and peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle but very close to the center of San Gimignano. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast, which had so many choices, was delicious (as was lunch). The pool area was delightful, never crowded, and very peaceful. And..The staff was amazing! Everyone went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and at our disposal for whatever we needed, and the two managers, Stefano and Maria Rosa were always on hand. They are the best staff we have ever had. We spent nine glorious days here, and I can honestly say we became friends. I was sorry to say goodbye!

We would have liked the option to have dinner at the hotel on days when we were super tired or just wanted to sit and relax. There was only one restaurant really close by and was quite good, but there were nights we would have preferred to just chill, relax and have dinner on site. However, all else was so great, this was not an issue.

The staff was very good. The hotel is so beautiful and the pool is clean. Beautiful place. Breakfast is tasty, and capuchino is included in Breakfast, also very tasty. They have outside jakuzy, which it is included in price, but from the bar, you need to pay. We dring 3 glasses of wine, 2 sendviches and 2 capuchino it was 55euro (maybe something more we took). Nevertheless everything was really good and it looks like you are in some feritale. Parking is also included in price. Reception working 24h.

The bed is too soft, but this is not too bad. Lounday it is very expensive if somebody need.

Oh my goodness!!! This is an amazing place! The grounds and hotel are just lovely and the staff is excellent. The rooms and bathrooms are huge and the windows open out over the beautiful landscaping. The breakfast is worth the stay alone. So many delicious options! Our last morning we had to leave before breakfast and well before the sun was up. When we checked out the night porter had a breakfast packed for us to take. We were overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and kindness of that. We hope to return one day.

This property is absolutely beautiful! It is a quiet relaxing atmosphere and the pool an amazing, with a bar. The breakfast is unbelievable. Everything is perfect!! The staff are all so lovely and helpful! The owners are really nice. We had an amazing anniversary spent here. It’s close to everything in Tuscany. But you will definitely want to stay and enjoy this place too!! Thank you for looking after us so well!! Our room was amazing!!

Spent 3 amazing nights with a group of friends in this beautiful historic building. Loved every second of it. Quick 25 min walk into the medieval San Gim. The pool was excellent & the staff was amazing. My friends and I miss Stefano every day. Stefano was amazing. The poolside pasta was amazing & the San Gim white wine selection was great

Excellent location in the countryside within a few minutes walk of San Gimignano. Beautiful architecture and period decoration of the former monastery. Superb spacious room with beautiful authentic furniture. Fabulous pool set in the stunning grounds. Excellent Italian breakfast. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff.

The staff was incredible. Manager Stefano and his team were so accommodating,, we hated to leave. Incredible breakfast!! Pool was beautiful and very thankful it was there as weather was very hot.

Wish they served dinner and was able to walk to town.

Location was excellent away from the hustle & noise in town The manager Stefano went out of his way to help us & thank goodness he was there overseeing all aspects of the property & keeping all guests happy

No tea or coffee making in room & a charge if you ordered tea or coffee during the day. No restaurant on the property so it meant driving daily to town where it was virtually impossible to find parking as there are only 4 car parks outside the walled city. No cars are allowed into San Gimignano and many tourists driving around looking for parking
