This is an old Palazzo inside the walled city. I would guess that the building dated from the 1500's, The room was a little weird by US standards but was incredibly charming and interesting. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy. The owner /manager was incredibly helpful and engaging. The hotel had been in her family for generations and she clearly wanted her guests to have the best experience she could provide. If I ever get a chance to go back to San Gimignano, I will definitely stay here again.

The bathroom set up was weird with the toilet underneath a staircase and the shower and sink were in the same enclosure but was clean and well maintained. No air conditioning but there was one installed in the room but not hooked up yet.

Beautiful building, felt like a step into the history of Italy. Everything was immaculate and everyone was very hospitable. The owner was hugely helpful with parking and a map of the city, also managed to book us a last minute reservation at one of the most scenic restaurants in San Gimignano. It was very close to everything in town, great location. Highly recommend and thank you.

I was with my Mum, so twin beds would have been more comfortable for us than a double. I thought I had booked twin beds.

Staying at Palazzo Buonaccorsi really took us to another era: we loved the charm of the old palace, its central location, the quaint vaults and rooms (where hospitality has been going on for quite some time) the charming courtyard and sparrows nesting in it ancient hallways. It takes you in slowly, but you love it more and more with each step. The true upside of this place is the kind owner and her colleague, who go out of their way to give you relevant information and adapt to your needs, recommend itineraries for exploring Tuscany ... I'd take such a stay, filled with local identity, quirks and authenticity, anytime over any modern hotel. We loved it.

A very good place for an authentic stay at San Giminano. The pictures promised a lovely place and it was delivered. The host and personal are very friendly and caring. Tips and hints were given for the city and all of Tuscany.

Old, clean rooms, living space very comfortable and friendly, Palazzo itself, personal support always being ready and willing to help, combination in between old and new objects, view from windows (2nd floor )

A common bathroom, but this has been known. Breakfast would have been a good option. Noisy room, especially in the morning, being located over an important street

Highly recommend this old Palazzo in superb location very close to the north end of San Gimignano at Porta San Matteo. We stayed in a spacious room with shared facilities at a good price. The furnishings are very grand & charming. We really appreciated the kind receptionists who went out of their way to help us. Their suggestion for dinner at Il Feudo was perfect 👌

Amazing location, amazing building and host! One of the best stays that you may have in San Gimigniano. The rooms are comfortable and aesthetically in accordance to the history of the place and it's character.

The rooms did not offer good ventilation but it is understandable due to the age of the building and its historical architecture.

Location was superb, right in the middle of San G. Parking instructions were very clear and the owner was passionate about her property and very helpful. We had six staying in the property and there were four bedrooms. We had a wonderful one night stay. Only one bathroom but that was fine for one night. Thank you

A beautiful building, thoughtfully restored and furnished. The staff were lovely and the host was very attentive, even offering us an upgrade. The room was charming, nothing fancy but very clean and well looked after. It is very centrally located, right in the thick on things.

The bathroom was compact and quite dated.

Great location and very helpful staff who gave us a map with everything we need to know and we managed to visit lots of hidden gems around the area. They also have discount with a few nice restaurants and we managed to try them out as well. Amazing building with very historical feel to it. The whole place is scented with some lovely subtle fragrance.
