Staying at B&B Il Fienile was the Tuscan experience I've always dreamt of. We spent some time in Florence, Pisa and Riomaggiore before ending our holiday in San Gimignano. At the time of planning the holiday we did not know that we were saving the best for last!! Not only do you have spectacular views from the garden of the B&B and the yummiest homemade breakfasts, but you will meet the most special host and family. The B&B is not a business for Francesca and her family, it is a passion. Francesca makes you feel like family from the minute you arrive. She is very well known in San Gimignano and mentioning her name in some restaurants might get you discount! :-) The pasta experience is a MUST as it is super fun. Leaving was really hard and if we ever go back to Italy we'll head straight to B&B Il Fienile San Gimignano.

We LOVED everything.

This is the most amazing B&B we have ever stayed at; the views are breathtaking and the location for a short walk into town or jump into the car to explore the Tuscan countryside were both so convenient. Francesca and her family are the most amazing hosts and the daily breakfasts were a feast of local cuisine. If you’re looking for the most amazing relaxed stay, away from the chaos of Pisa, Sienna or Florence, then this is the place for you. Visiting San Gimignano in the evenings once the bulk of the tourists have gone is the perfect way to see this city with all its charm, away from the crowds.

I have nothing bad to say about our stay.

It was fantastic to be at this place, the hospitality, care and kindness of the hosts as well as their professionalism are gold. The place is authentic, charming, convivial and has everything you can think of when staying at a B&B. The bedroom and private bathroom are very spacious and the high ceiling adds to the experience of being in a typical Toscana house. The view it has on St Gimignano Is amazing, you can contemplate the whole town from the garden where the breakfast is served. The breakfast is unbelievable, it includes home made pastries, bruschetta and other local delicatesses . We had a wonderful time. Francesca gave extremely good advice and recommendations on where to eat and where to go that made our trip unforgettable. Francesca and Mauro are really extraordinary hosts. I highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay at Francesca B&B in San Gimignano. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed—Francesca is an incredibly kind and thoughtful host. She went out of her way to recommend local attractions, nearby towns to explore, and excellent restaurants, which made our trip even more special. She was especially sweet and attentive with our daughter, which we truly appreciated as a family. The garden was absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan landscape. Enjoying breakfast out there each morning was the perfect way to start the day. A special mention goes to Francesca’s mother, who prepared delicious homemade sweets that made breakfast even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—this B&B truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

That we stayed only three nights and we didn’t have the chance to do the cooking pasta experience.

We were warmly welcomed by Francesca, she gave us great suggestions on where to eat and even reserved restaurant for us, not to mention other useful information in San Gimignano. The room was spacious and boost private big gardens, Francesca is so considerate that she puts mosquito spray everywhere so we can be more comfortable in the garden. Breakfast was the best we ever had in our 3 weeks in Italy, with scenic view of San Gimignano when enjoying baskets of yogurt, fruits, croissants and pastries, but the best thing was the savory plate, omelettes sandwiches and hams are highly appreciated as we are not very use to the sweet Italian breakfast options. If we come back to San Gimignano again, we will definitely stay with Francesca again!

Nothing, impossible to criticize anything .

This place is awesome! Everything from the service, the personal touch (Francesca is an incredible host!), the food, the room size and comfortability ... It was super clean, with lots of space to put your stuff down. And the little things - like when you come back to your room with a bottle of great Italian wine you just bought and you realize there is a bottle opener next to the glasses so you don't have to go ask for it ;) Also, you could find some nice spots to sit outside in the garden. The tasty breakfast with the view of San Gimignano is another big plus, and the town is just a 5-minute walk away (uphill, on a dusty road - but the town is well worth the walk every time you go!).

We spontaneously booked a night at the Bed and Breakfast Fienile on our road trip through Italy and were rewarded with the most beautiful place ever. Lovely, spacious and homely room, extremely comfortable bed. We adored spending time in the garden, we drank some local wine and saw the sun set over the stunning town of San Gimignano, a sure highlight in the Toscana! Breakfast was also served in the garden, can recommend getting up early to see the sunrise over the vinyard. Our highlight of the stay was the incredible host Francesca! Thank you so much for everything, we loved the recommendations for food and drink in the town, and your friendly bubbly nature really made our week. Highly reccomend a stay here ☺️

Everything was perfect!

The breakfast was amazing. It is in the garden with the view of San Gimignano. It might be the best view of this medieval town. It is very close to the town by walk. There is free parking space outside. The rooms are very clean. In case you need anything, they help in an instant. They have even mosquito repellent sprays for free in the garden. Francesca is a very helpful and friendly host. Very cozy and cute agriturismo! Highly recommended!

Really nothing! Just don`t wash your car. There is a gravel road in front of the agriturismo.

The room is specious and has private garden. The breakfast room is attached and so convenient. The property is so beautiful with many potted lemon and lime trees. Fresh persimmons brought to our plate at breakfast! Francesca is the most darling host and made us feel so welcome. Location allowed us to walk each day and burn off some of the bread we seemed to eat 3x a day! But still so close to town centre. Francesca even drove us to the town square one day when we were just a bit too tired to walk.

We had the most wonderful stay thanks to the amazing host Francesca - she felt like a long lost friend and welcomed us like family. Her B and B is just what you imagine from a Tuscan home and the view was incredible. San Gimingano was only a short walk away - we were able to easily walk from the accomodation during the day and evening. Thank you so much Francesca, we had a wonderful stay and really appreciated your hospitality - hope to see you again one day xo
