We had the whole apartment consisting of 3 en suite rooms, shared lounge and kitchen for ourselves which was lovely. The location is fantastic. 1min from Porta San Matteo, which is one of the main entrances to the town. Allesia our young host, was very helpful and efficient. Very efficient aircon that we needed urgently as there is a heat wave in Italy. The apartment is on a quiet street, but nice restaurants around the corner.

I would have like a thin throw for the bed as the sheet was just not enough at night with the aircon, but my husband had no complains. The COOP was quite a walk , but you really can't have it all!

Our group of three couples booked the pink, green and blue rooms and had the adjoining living and kitchen area to ourselves making it a three bedroom apartment. Absolutely perfect. Spacious, well appointed and with comfortable beds in the beautiful setting of a 14th century building. Perfect location in quieter part of San Gimignano but with so many cafe options right on your doorstep from casual to Michelin star and just a casual 10 minute stroll to the centre of town. Our host Alessia was excellent. Very accommodating and friendly, and great with all the communication up to and during our stay. Her parents ran a cafe next door so we popped in there many times! We stayed for three days and wanted to “live like locals”. It exceeded our expectations. San Gimignano is such a beautiful 14th century town set within a wall high on a hill with panoramic views to the Tuscany landscape. Wonderful buildings, history, things to see including San Gimignano 1300, a large room size scale size model of the town in the 1300’s, cafes, shops and bars. And you could see the locals had pride in their town. All in all, this whole experience would rate as one of the best we’ve ever had, anywhere.

Nothing! Even lugging our luggage up three flights of stairs was enjoyable as that was part of the experience.

Beautifully decorated and very clean room with nice common sitting room and a kitchen area. Fabulous view of bell tower. Host was very nice and gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant within easy walking distance.

Unfortunately the sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain and the kitchen outlets were not working, so it was not possible to make tea or coffee. But it was a holiday, so Im sure it was not possible to be repaired then. The stairs to the upper floor were a bit of a challenge for two seniors.

A lovely guest house run by a beautiful local family; the last street within the walls which is so picturesque that it looks like an Italian movie; extremely convenient walking to the bus station or any major attractions in town but off the main road so away from the tourist crowd to assure privacy and tranquility; three Michelin restaurants just downstairs and the host also runs a paninoteca right around the corner where you can enjoy delicious and reasonably priced food and beverages; exquisite top-floor bedroom in a historical building bustling with Tuscan charm

Convenient but quiet location within old city walls. Nice sitting area and kitchen. Would be great for a family or group of travelers, but I felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler.

At one point I could hear the TV in the room next door and it was as if it was in my room, but it was during the day and I was heading out so it didn't interfere with my sleep or anything.

It was nicely decorated had access to kitchen and seating area. It was very close to restaurants and a short walk to the major attractions. The staff were very helpful and the bed was comfortable especially the pillows

It was extremely hot while we were there the aircon was pretty noisy through the night. There was also a fan which was very good

My stay at Palazzo Mari was absolutely perfect!! It was the right place to sleep in the towns of Tuscany!! The location is perfect, the facilities are quality, very nice and clean. But what really made my stay incredible was the attention I received from Simona, who took care days before that my stay was good, and it was!! She is very kind, very open to any questions and cheerful. A highly recommended place!! Thank you very much Simona!!

The location is awesome, building itself is very beautiful and the view from the window makes you feel the Tuscany. Room was clean and had everything you coul need. Private bathroom and shared kitchen were also clean and nice.

As the weather was very hot, I tried to turn on the A/C, which I did not achieve. There was also the external ventilator in the the room, but it didn’t work as well.

The apartment was very spacious and well located. Simona was great with communications, super friendly and efficient, and we had no problems with baggage transfer (we were walking the Via Francigena).

Unfortunately there was a city-wide water issue where the acquifer emptied as we were showering. Luckily the problem was rectified in about an hour and Simona was able to provide a bucket of water in the interim. Another inconvenience was the restriction of aircon use overnight due to the noise disruption to neighbours. This made for uncomfortable sleeping temperatures during a very hot period. Otherwise, beds were super comfy!

Beautiful room in a gorgeous old building in the northern part of the walled city. Simona, our host, was lovely. She was very informative and gave us lots of suggestions and helpful directions and information. She was a great communicator. The kitchen was available for tea, coffee, and snacks. The view out of our windows was beautiful! Situated very close to Parcheggio 3 with lift access up to the walled city

There was nothing to not like!
