I loved this place, for it's location, it's views, and the owners. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms are simple but what more do you need, this isn't a 5 star hotel after all. The courtyard is amazing to sit in and relax during the day. The owners are so helpful and kind. Good quality food. Even though the showers have low pressure (as previous reviews stated) it still did not deter from the experience - the bathrooms are clean and decorated in a modern style and look lovely.

This is not a dislike, just some simple advice. Please be aware that this B&B is run only by the couple who own it. So they are not on site the whole time - only during breakfast and the evening. If you want anything during the day, make sure to mention it at breakfast or the night before and they'll be happy to arrange it.

Beautiful ancient Osteria in stunning historic location. So peaceful, great location close to all restaurants in historic centre of Certaldo. Erik was a very attentive host. Breakfast was simple but fabulous on amazing terrace. Organic principles run through this great B&B.

Water was hot, but shower pressure low - inevitable perhaps in a property in an ancient hilltop town. This was not a problem for us, but might be an issue for some. Guests should be aware too that rooms are accessed via a fairly steep set of stairs. The views are worth it, but again some guests this might be an issue.

The building dates back to the 1300's and is really cool and in character. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They offer a vegan tasting menu for dinner which we also booked and were blown away. Not cheap, but highly recommended, and considering the meal and the effort that obviously goes into it, really good value. Breakfast was also exceptional. We had this on an external verandah with a brilliant view across the valley. Certaldo is a fantastic old hilltop village dating back to the 1100's and walking its streets and little allies is brilliant. There are several wonderful museums and crafty shops as well. A great place to visit and I couldn't recommend a better place to stay while there.

Nothing comes to mind!

My daughter and I had to travel to Certaldo for a concert, an we found this lovely inn to stay at. We had such a comfortable stay, and the price was so reasonable. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed, in particular, was very comfy. The only thing missing was air conditioning, but that wasn't a problem for us. We know that you can't have everything when you want to stay in a beautiful, historic building. The outside dining area was beautiful with a fantastic view, and the breakfast was great. Freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and water. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would definitely come back if I were in the area.

Nothing

Absolutely beautiful property with stunning surroundings. Patio area for drinks and breakfast is gorgeous. Fantastic wine. Vegan breakfast included was tasty and filling. Host was extremely welcoming and kind. Bedroom was pretty and comfortable. There is no air con but host kindly gave us a fan. Paid Parking is available a few minute walk away - we were given very clear instructions. This is a beautiful part of Italy and well worth a visit.

Nothing - it’s lovely and we would stay again.

The property is a very old building at the top of Certaldo Alto. As such it is the character and location that make this place attractive. The terrace views are amazing and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is lovely and it was how I always imagined Tuscany to be.

Our room was quite small with little in the way of storage space. As we were there for a wedding this made things somewhat difficult. Our friends did have a bigger room so it was probably the luck of the draw. This did really detract from our visit and is a small price to pay for being in such a wonderful location

If you looking for a place to stay with genius loci, where you need to do only one step to be in local culture and feel the local spirit, this place is just the one for you. The hosts are runing it with a true heart and you can feel it in every detail. Very nice, quiet place with excelent vegan food (and i say it as a meateater). If you need air-condition to be happy, look somewhere else.

I loved the location at the highest point in Certaldo with a breathtaking view overlooking the countryside. The courtyard where drinks and meals are served is equally spectacular. The rooms are beautiful on the first floor in keeping with the historical nature of the building and it’s a quiet location. Erik, the host, is amazing, super helpful and knowledgeable. I didn’t meet Eleonora but I sampled her artistry in the kitchen! You absolutely have to eat a meal there so creative and interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

The location is spectacular, history and beauty along with great hosts and a wonderful restaurant. Views over the Chianti vineyards from the top of the hill surrounded by medieval buildings and wonderful weather who could ask for more.

As an ancient building the plumbing is a little less pressure with the hot water in the shower but it is a price worth paying for the privilege of being in such an old building.

Dead in the centre of the old town area, run by a lovely couple who do everything to make sure you have a good stay. The room was comfortable, breakfast was lovely (the view is fab) and we also ate dinner there and thought the food was wonderful. Only stayed one night but would definitely recommend to others.

It was quite warm in the room and so I could imagine in the peak of summer that might not be ideal for some people. But we found it OK for our stay. Parking is a few minutes walk down / up a large hill which was absolutely fine for us but worth mentioning for those who might struggle.
