Porto Romano checks all the boxes. Nice location down by the marina. Easy access to/ from airport. Wonderful grounds, pool area, and restaurant. Great place to end your trip to Italy before the long journey back to US. Be careful to note the location and times of the shuttle service. This is privately contracted. They will send you a map of the location and pick up schedule. We just missed the 3:00 shuttle and took a cab instead of waiting until 4:00. The regular cab lines are usually very long. Across the way from door #4 you will find some local ride share cabs that handle the local Fiumicino area. You want to get one of those if needed. 30 euro instead of 16. For us, at that time, better than waiting an hour.

A rewarding one-night stay. The receptionist made sure that we felt at home. She even carried our heavy suitcase upstairs which we appreciated deeply. After checking out the next day, we stayed indoors for most of the day at a comfortable lounge where we were treated attentively by Valerio who made sure we were well cared for. However, proof of the pudding came when we had to leave. The shuttle bus couldn't pick us up due to a traffic jam caused by an accident. The team quickly made the arrangements to take us to the airport in a hotel car by one of their colleagues. Should I say more?

We think that the breakfast selection could be expanded somewhat.

The location of the hotel is perfect as well as the staff service and facilities :) The location is near of the Rome airport and closely to the marina and Tiber river. The landscape is also excellent and please the eye.

The breakfast was so simple... I think that the hotel tried to keep my diet on vacation :( Moreover the breakfast was delivered to the room as a result of the some celebration of the gests and obviously the restaurant was busy... Why I can't enter to the restaurant at 8:00-9:00AM and why the hotel gests received different relation? The one part can close restaurant for the breakfast and other can't enter to this place... This is very strange. The stairs to the second floor apartment are narrow and access without elevator.

It was clean, comfortable with very pleasant staff. Restaurant was very good.

We had a difficult time getting to it. Cabbies are scarce and the one we got ripped us off charging 45 euros for a 25 euro fare.

That was a great selection for us to stay overnight between the flights! Very good location in proximity to airport, short drive without risks of traffic jams. Location is very beautiful, especially for those who loves the sea and boating: Marina is full of nice vessels from small leisure boats to super-yachts. The staff was very attentive, and we were really pleased by service of Valerio, bartender and waiter in the restaurant of the premises. The food and wine selection was a reward after the long trip. The room, even being a bid cold due to cyclone and seasonal touch, was still comfortable and nicely set.

Nothing apart of a little cold temperature.

We chose this hotel for the amenities offered: onsite restaurant, balcony with view, and spa. We were very happy with this hotel. The room was as described though a bit pricey for the off-season. There were very few guests. The balcony was excellent--large with chairs and a table, view of the grounds, pool and Tiber, and felt very safe. The restaurant had excellent service and very tasty dishes plated nicely and a good wine selection. We didn't stay long enough for the breakfast but the restaurant gave us a take away bag which had a nice mix of yogurt and crackers. The front desk staff was attentive to our questions before we arrived and helpful while we were there and they spoke excellent English. The spa was awesome! We needed that relaxation time and it was so nice to have it to ourselves. The location was convenient for being close to the airport.

The portal window between the shower and bed was a little weird even for a married couple. The bed was comfortable but the sheets are felt stiff like paper, we expected nicer sheets for the price of the room.

We wanted a place close to the airport where we could relax the day before our flight. This place, depending on traffic, is about 15 minutes from Rome airport. The place is beautiful, right on the Tiber River, with lovely grounds and a HUGE pool!!! The room was large, big king size comfortable bed, on the firm side but not too firm, nice big bathroom and shower with good water pressure. Restaurant: We had dinner, it was on the pricey side, but absolutely delicious! They include a small Italian style breakfast buffet, with sweets, yogurt, cereal, juice, fresh fruit, bread ... plus hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and some bacon for the Americans ... it was a buffet, not our favorite, but nice to have a little something to start the day. The hotel staff was fantastic! They spoke English and were very kind and helpful!

The restaurant service was just OK. The service was slow, they never checked on us and every time we needed something, we had to flag someone down. There was only ONE other table, both times we ate in the restaurant, and both times the service was basically non-existent. If you're not in a hurry, just relax and enjoy.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The onsite restaurant was convenient and served good food.

The bathroom had a little moisture damage that could be addressed. Although the grounds and rooms were very quiet overall, we could hear even slight noises from the rooms with which we shared a wall. For example, normal level of conversation and zipping / unzipping of a suitcase. I'm not sure what can be done to improve that. Thankfully, our neighbors were polite and seemed to have the same schedule as we did. If they had been even a little bit rowdy or had children, it could have been miserable.

The rooms were incredible! Very comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were very accommodating! The restaurant close by was delicious, just be aware there is some type of dress code.

Very limited food wise. The free breakfast was very scarce and the food available was not great quality. The little pool bar was handy but also very small selection of what can be ordered. The location was handy, but only because ubers are readily available.

I arrived just as they closed the pool for the season and the weather got cooler so the atmosphere wasn't great. It was very quiet. Location is not great. There's nothing nearby and the view is of shipyards and some boats but nothing stunning. Room was very comfortable. Room service was limited to dinner only after 7.30pm but thefoodwas great. Breakfast was your basic buffet. Very close to the airport so expect some noise.

I stayed at another hotel last year that was in a better location that's only 3 stars but much more comfortable for my needs and much cheaper. Don't think this hotel is good value.
