I stayed at the hotel at the moment of renovation. Now it is not the old Italian style hotel, but more Scandinavian minimalism. Someone will love it, but I will miss stripes on walls and elegant furniture. There are plenty of advantages: Great breakfast, I felt full and happy with great choice of sweet and sour options. There is restaurant in the same building with really great food. There are few lovely stores around the hotel and big supermarkets are one tram stop from the hotel. And the tram stop is two minutes walk from the hotel. And tram goes directly to Main train station Santa Maria Novella. Even though there was a gas station next to the hotel it was still pretty quite and peaceful. The view from the window was lovely. And the main thing which is probably one of the most important in every hotel is the staff. The receptionist, the breakfast lady, the cleaning crew, the barman, - all of them were absolutely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and hope to have a chance to stay in hotel Alex again.

The stuff was amazing, they even had a little surprise prepared for our honey moon 😊 Good breakfast, clean room and quite.

The hotel is quite old and I believe the value for money is not fair for what is offer, how it looks and where it’s located.

Room was perfectly comfortable and had everything that we needed. Air-conditioning was working smoothly deapite the over 40°C temperature outside. Everything was clean. Staff was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Location is also very good as you are 3 minutes walk from the tram station that takes you directly to city center. So in a matter of 15 mins from exiting hotel you can already be in the city without too mich hustle.

Breakfast was missing some "warm" cooked/baked food like omlet, scrammbled eggs, bacon or similar. There was only cold cuts buffet (salami, cheese, bagels, toast, whole fruit...) so there is space to improve on this. Also, in the week when we were visiting, their restaurant&bar (that is enclosed) was closed completely. So at 3 PM in the afternoon they told us that only way to eat something around was to order Glovo (Burger King to be precise).

Clean and big room and toilet. Friendly and helpful staffs am & pm. Bed was right. A/C was working ang good temp. They lend me their universal plug in ! Thank you very much. Bfast was very good tasty. Coffee was superb and service was excellent. The adjoining restaurant had a delicious menu, price was right. They surprised me with a Bday dessert! Thank you Jumanji! Very good seafood dishes. One of the best seafood spaghetti we tried, taste was consistent. About 20 mins by taxi to Sta Maria Novella Train station to take bullet trains frm the hotel. And 5 min walk to Federiga Metro Station for intercity. Take T1 train to Sta Maria Novella.

Elevator too tight.

It has an elevator ( tad tight), nice breakfast option of yogurt, cereal, cold cuts, boiled egg, coffee( espresso/cappuccino) juices. Staff were very helpful , giving you advice about the city and where to go. Only few minutes walk to the tram that takes you to the city centre in about 10 min. Would stay there again.

The shower curtain could be moved to give you a little more space in the shower of the spacious bathroom . There were no USB chargers in the room to charge your device, so if you are from the US, make sure to take a converter. Place is a little outdated, but the room was spacious and clean.

The view from our rooms was amazing, you could go out to your balcony and appreciate Florence. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning and consisted of a variety of fresh pastries, savory meats and cheeses, eggs, cereals, and had a selection of coffee and juices. We especially loved the staff who provided amazing service from housekeeping, kitchen, and front desk! The bathrooms and rooms are nice and big and will be cleaned and made up by housekeeping daily if you do not hang up the 'Do not disturb' sign.

The elevator can be a bit small for some, it can fit one person and a large suitcase or three people at a time. This is to be expected though.

Great location for visiting Florence, it's not central but it has a great public transport connection, so it was super easy for us to come and go. They have their own paid parking, so we didn't have to worry about our car for the most of the trip. Room was spacious, with a large balcony. Breakfast was ok.

You can't reserve parking so it was completely full when we arrived, but we managed to find the street parking for the first night and move the car to the hotel parking the next morning so it was all resolved.

Excellent breakfast which was included in the cost. Easy walk to catch the tram into the city. Easy to get tickets for the tram at each stop. The reception staff member was very helpful and the bar staff were friendly and helpful

Did have problems with mosquitos at night which meant we had to keep the window shut and use repellant don't know if it was just the weather at the time. Didn't like that we had to pay a city tax of 6 euros each person per day when were were leaving. Why can't it be paid when you are booking the hotel so you know exactly what the cost is.

It was a perfect and enjoyable stay in the heart of Florence. When I say the heart I mean the area where modern Florentine people live. We had a chance not only to enjoy the historical architecture of the city but also to see how people live today. The tram T1 is pretty cheap and take you to city centre in 15 min The Hotel's staff met us with the greatest welcome and warmth. The room was spacious, clean; beds were comfortable. We had cleaning every day and fresh towels were provided along with toiletries. Breakfast was included. It was like a dream: fresh artisan coffee, pastries, cold cuts and fruit selection. The bar is open all day as well as the restaurant where the professional chief serves artisan fresh fish and meat. Definitely worth trying! Especially because there are no tourists and only Italian families around having dinner or celebrating special occasions. Highly recommended

Was nice and full breakfast and good location not far from tram station. Room was ready earlier then planned, and we arrive directly, room was very clean, cleaning was done everyday and carefully. Personal is respectful and can speak with different languages.

Doors on balcony was not possible to close fully, which can make difficultties in more cold weather, presently it's applicable, rooms and hotel looks little bit tired, so far it's applicable for its price.
