What a lovely time I had here! The usual hosts were on holiday and instead I was warmly welcomed and well looked after by Donatella (host's mother), who was by far the best asset to this lovely place! I had the annex at the top of the B&B which was clean, roomy and relaxed. Very little noise from below. Lovely balcony with remote controlled canopy (this does go back in with the slightest of wind though). Well stocked little kitchen. Donatella sat me down and went through some handy tips for the City and neighbourhood. Lovely neighbourhood. I travelled solo, early morning and late at night, and never felt unsafe. The B&B is about 25 minutes walk from the city centre. Wonderful breakfast (between 8.30-10.30) of yoghurt and fruit or eggs, bruschetta and yoghurt. Croissants and fruit on the table. Shared with the other guests. Thanks so much for your hospitality Donatella! I will be back and next time will bring a guest!

Top floor annexe is up 3 flights of steep-ish steps (as to be expected in this part of the world and not a problem for me with me very basic fitness level) Annexe shower has a sloped roof. I am 5'3 and my head was touching the ceiling. I didn't mind this but be aware if you're taller than me!

This place feels like home, like you are visiting the good friends in Italy :) Everything worked perfectly, the breakfasts were amazing and made with a lot of love! Very clean and very cosy, nice atmosphere, very kind and friendly hosts! I have damaged my feet and couldn’t walk the last day, so they kindly allowed me to check out later, and use the common space while waiting for leaving to the airport :) I was offered water, coffee, fruits, medicines for the feet, protective tape so I could walk… they also called me a taxi in the end… thank you so much for caring for me! And making sure I rest well even after the check out! It’s and exceptional experience and very, very good people who run this place! ❤️

The only staff I saw, a mature lady,Donatella, was very polite and courteous. Adaptor plugs and a bottle opener were supplied. The room was quiet and reasonably clean. The neighbourhood was good, very quiet,across the river Arno, away from the manic historical part of the city, and the hotel was adjacent to decent bars, restaurants, and supermarkets.

No en suite bathroom, no sink, no fridge, no tv.  Breakfast was served 8.30-10 30, later than I'd prefer. The breakfast consisted of crostini with slices of avocado and tomato, croissants,fruit, and bread and jam.No plant milk but then maybe I should've informed the hotel in advance of my dietary preferences. I found the description of ‘ amazing breakfasts’ in reviews somewhat at variance with my own experience, but it was nicely arranged and was appreciated.

Perfect location, wonderful breakfast, extremely comfortable, clean, warm and secure Scored 9.09.0 The breakfast was stunning, prepared with love and so delicious. Marta and her family couldn't have been more welcoming, and the room and bathroom were absolutely spotless, warm and comfortable.

I am hesitant to mention this as the people and the stay really were lovely, but I think it's fair. Due to the age of the building (beautiful, old and classic but in perfect condition) the noise of the doors opening and closing early in the morning did wake me up. Usually I am an early riser so this was only an issue for me on new year's day! But could be worth keeping in mind

Lovely Florence family home, in a very quiet and safe area with friendly and helpful staff and hosts, Tomasso and Marta and Carolina.Eating outside in the garden was just perfect. We had the top rooms comprising self contained studio. Everything spotless. Breakfast lovely especially the scrambled eggs and bruschetta with figs. Cereal and nuts and croissants! We loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the rooftops. The property is on the other side of the Arno but definitely a benefit to escape the crowds. There is a well stocked Aldi/lidl equivalent just round the corner. Walking to the Ponto Vecchio is straightforward with lots of interesting stops along the way.

I liked everything and was fitter as a result of climbing stairs to top flat and from walking and enjoying the surroundings. Great accommodation

We loved that we were staying in a family home and it felt truly authentic. Marta and Tomasso couldnt have been more welcoming. The breakfast, prepared by Tomasso was delicious, it was so fresh and tasty and it was so lovely seeing him picking fresh herbs from their garden, that morning. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and the location was great. It was a nice quiet area but easily walkable to everything. Marta was so helpful in organising taxi's and recommended some fabulous restaurants. We would definitely stay there again, thank you so much Marta and Tomasso for your wonderful hospitality.

No complaint but just to note for other people that the top room where we stayed has sloping ceilings so the shower in the bath can only be used whilst sitting down.

Really enjoyed my stay at B@B Monte Oliveto. Marta is so welcoming and helpful; she has created (and held) a lovely space both for her family (and for you, when you visit). Excellent advice about the area, very comfortable and clean and top marks to Tomasso for the excellent breakfast. Highly recommend this lovely B@B and do hope to visit again.

There is nothing that I dislike. I knew that I'd share a bathroom (which was my choice here) and I prefer my own, however it was all good/ it worked out well with the other guests.

Everything! The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are wonderful and you can eat outside if the weather is fine. Spotlessly clean. Just a few minutes easy walk from the city, it is so peaceful to return to after the business of the centre of Florence. Very close to the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti.

Exceptionally friendly hosts that warmly welcomed us! Breakfast in the garden was really good and it was so nice to talk to other travellers as well when we all shared the same table. Location is a bit further from the city center, however it gives you a glimpse of the authentic living in Florence. The room was nice and everything worked really well. Definitely coming back to here if we ever return to Florence!

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The care from Marta and Tommaso was exceptional. They took so much time to ensure that everything was comfortable for my stay and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfasts were amazing and on the day that I had to leave early for tour, they kindly left me a packed breakfast to take with me. The location is just outside of the city, so the location is peaceful and relaxing after being in the busy city. I would definitely love to visit again sometime.
