This B&B made my trip, for real. I can’t tell you how much I laughed and enjoyed my room - the one with the external bathroom. I never knew I could feel like Alice in Wonderland! I loved that they keep some things like water, coffee or tea 24/7, so you don’t have to worry about that. Breakfast is really good. Staff are the best, indeed.

Clearly is not that I didn’t like it, for sure, but I’m giving this advice to not recommend the room with external bathroom to someone alone with mobility issues because it’s a little bit difficult to get to it - everything else was amazing.

I liked that I had a key to the front door, so I could come and go whenever I pleased. I had access to the kitchen so I could make myself tea or have a tiny snack at 8pm. I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before so it was lovely to wake up to a breakfast spread and have my coffee made for me. As a solo traveler, I was able to walk everywhere from this location. I even walked to and from Piazzale Michelangelo to watch the sunset. Overall, the property was wonderful and so were the owners/hosts. Great location and great service.

The B&B is quaint and charming, with a beautiful garden. It's around 17-20 minutes walk to/from Ponte Vecchio, alongside the Arno River, a peaceful stroll which I enjoyed. I arrived after their reception hours (until 4pm) and they gave great instructions how to check in and find the room. The bed was comfortable. Joan, who was the staff when I visited, was extremely kind and helped me learn more about the city. I got free bottles of water plus snacks. I really enjoyed my time here.

The solo room had a sloping ceiling that meant you could only effectively stand around half of the time. The room was in the 2nd floor (3rd floor if you count the ground floor as the 1st floor) and the stairs heading up to it was a steep spiral staircase, so it became quite hard to bring a suitcase up. The B&B in general is very beautiful, but this solo room was pretty barren—although it did have a mini fridge. It didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the stay, but you should be mindful of these if you're booking the 2nd floor solo room.

Great apartment in a good location for walking to everything. It has all you need, good breakfast and private parking. Joan our host was amazing. We will definitely return next time we stop in Florence. The room was exceptionally clean .

The staff was welcoming and very helpful. Possibility to use the parking space was good! The location was perfect since it just not in the crowded city center but still near. For example, there is an easy bus connection to Piazzale Michelangelo. The breakfast was good! Our room was very small for two adults but it was still ok for 1 night visit. The patio is nice.

The sound proofing was quite bad. If it was noisy outside the building or in the b&b lobby we could hear everything. So bring your ear plugs!

Enjoyed my stay at La Fonderia very much. It's in a quiet area of Florence but not too far from any sights, especially as buses are so easy now that you can use contactless credit cards. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated with a high corniced ceiling and a balcony. I particularly liked the brass bathroom fittings. The host Joan was lovely, cheerful and helpful in equal measure. One of the highlights of my stay was a quiet cup of tea in the delightful garden which was filled with the scent of wisteria.

It's a quiet little oasis outside of the main tourist area but still easy walking distance to all the main attractions and train station. Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There are lots of little unexpected extras to make the stay comfortable. The common areas and outdoor garden gave it a lovely relaxing vibe. It was great value for money. I would highly recommend and stay there again if I ever get the chance to return to Florence. The hostess was lovely.

Nothing really. I did bump my head on the low roof of my room which was upstairs in a loft do one side was low....but that was my own fault. The room only had a skylight rather than a window as such. But it was comfortable clean and fine for a short stay. I was out and about all day so only really needed the room to sleep.

The room was clean and comfortable, we loved using our balcony, the breakfast was wonderful, and the shared space for breakfast was easy to access and beautiful. Our stay felt quiet and we were able to access the room as soon as we arrived even though we were a little early, which we really appreciated.

Our two young kids were with us and it was a little far for them to walk and also a little hard to navigate the bus system from this location.

This is a wonderful b&b that is located in a quiet position on the other side of the river but within easy walking distance of all main Florence attractions. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Good variety of food offered at breakfast. Room was comfortable. Luggage storage was provided for my final day. Highly recommended.

The room is at the top of a spiral staircase - take care with your luggage. Also, the room has a lower ceiling on one side. None of this bothered me or affected my stay.

Excellent location a mere 5 minutes away from downtown Florence - just across the river from the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore)! Very luxury driven facility, yet very affordable - the hosts were also very accommodating and helpful. The "en-suite" bathroom, and the amenities provided in the space, were also a very welcome surprise - which I thorougly enjoyed. I would strongly recommend this accommodation facility to solo travellers.

When someone books the single economy room perhaps just advise (or warn) them about the spiral staircase they and their luggage will have to go up and down with during their stay at the facility. It was incredibly difficult to lug a large suitcase up to the first floor (and then down again) with no assistance. Nearly took me 20 minutes as it was a very small and narrow staircase.
