There were many things to like about GOGO` Petit Hotel. First of all, locationwise, it is conveniently located about 20 minutes' walk from the Uffizi Gallery which is the main attraction for me and my wife on this trip, and within 25 minutes of all the other main attractions such as the Duomo, Bargello Museum, Basilica of Santa Croce, Pallazo Vecchio, Mercato Centrale, etc; perhaps 30-35 minutes or so to walk to Palazzo Pitti and Boboli gardens, and Piazalli Michelangelo across the River Arno. Secondly, there is now a lift (elevator) between the first and second floor within the hotel which we used all the time during our stay. My guess is that the lift has only been installed within the last few months in 2025. Our room (room 4) is of an adequate size with adequate wardrobe and shelves for our use. The en-suite bathroom is spacious and we found it to be very clean when we arrived late in the evening. The double bed is wide and very comfortable, and the air conditioning was very effective and helped us to sleep well after a tired day sightseeing. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Our main contact was Daniele who was very friendly, charming, spoke excellent English and very helpful with our questions and requests. He helped with placing a reservation for us at the famed Trattoria Sostanza for dinner on our last evening in Florence, as well as booking a taxi to pick us up at 4:30am to travel to the Florence airport for our early flight home. The taxi arrived dead on time at 4:29 with a minute to spare. So for 2-4 days in Florence, I would highly recommend GOGO` Petit Hotel as a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

The main drawback is the breakfast area which is on an elevated landing reachable by a staircase in the reception area. Whilst we found no problem moving around when we were early birds for breakfast, with two or more parties of guests at the same time, there was inadequate room for moving around to pick up food and drinks freely. This is something I would ask the managment of the hotel to have a think in order to make an improvement for the long term.

GOGO Petit Hotel is absolutely superb, feeling to me like a luxury hotel worth 2 or 3 times what it cost to be there! It's located in a robustly built historic building some 200 years old, near the American embassy (or consulate, idk exactly) so the area is very secure. There's an impressive giant Ferris wheel nearby too, wish I'd ridden on it one evening at sunset, sigh... The hotel interior looks quite new, and it's very well crafted. For example the plumbing is excellent: Never before had I enjoyed a shower that provided hot water instantly, plus the broad shower head makes it seem like one is standing in warm rain. The ancient Romans would've wished their beloved baths were so nice! Fully recommended!!

The location was great (20-min walk to the city centre). Very close to the main attractions and places to visit. The staff was lovely!

The bed was a bit short for us (but we're quite tall), and the pillows were too hard to sleep on. I wish there was more to eat for breakfast, not only sweet bread and cookies. Upon check-out, we had to pay the city taxes, which should have been included in the final price when making a reservation.

Staff were super friendly! Daniel made us feel welcome throughout and is a credit to the hotel. The apartment room was a nice size, the room came with a smart tv and the air-con was amazing considering how hot it was. The location was about 20 minutes to the centre and was in a nice and safe area of the city.

I stayed here for 3 nights during the week. It was a good choice, I chose it for the location. Close to the Uffizi but still in a quiet area. I don't know what it's like in the summer, but it was quiet in November. Claudio was kind and ready with restaurant suggestions. No smoking inside, there is a small terrace. When I return to Florence, I think I will opt for this accommodation again. Be sure to have cash for the city tax, 6 euros/person/day. Breakfast can be paid by card. It is the kind of small business hotel. It is an apartment in which the rooms were equipped with individual bathrooms, very well equipped (including disposable shower slippers).

Very clean and comfortable. The internet, which is ESSENTIAL to me and my work, was excellent. The location near the US Consulate was quiet and easy to find. The codes to get in the main door and the hotel itself were convenient. I would stay here again.

There is no elevator which you are made aware of when you book the property. It would be a challenge to go up there with a lot of large or heavy bags.

Everything at the GoGo’s was perfect ! Friendly management - breakfast food delicious and everything was clean. My family and I will definitely recommend to our friends and we are hoping to come back ! ✨💖👍🏻

A nice small hotel located very close to the centre, but still away from the crowds. Close to the train station. Convenient to walk around the city and close to a huge park and the river. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. The room was very big and overall I had a pleasant stay.

I liked the fact it was in a central area just close by the river and you could walk easily down to ponte vecchio in 15 min

The A/C was noisy so I suggest some maintenance also I didn’t like the window which was on the inside of the building so very poor light in the room

The hotel is newly restored, very clean and comfortable. It's situated close to attractions without being overrun by tourist crowds, as well as transport - tram; SMN station; etc. The hotel staff are very friendly, welcoming and informative. Highly recommended
