I adore a hotel with history. This hotel has a beautiful loVe story. It was built for LoVe & of the current family who have owned the hotel since the 1950's, you can feel It is much cherished by them, there is also a hotel Pup "Hiro" he is so friendly, we had breakfast while he played in the gorgeous garden. The rooms are very large & timelessly decorated. We had a large comfy bed. And wonderful blackout shades. Breakfast was delicious & Jeffery made sure we had everything we could want. This is our go to hotel, when we visit Florence.

This is the perfect old fashioned Italian luxury hotel with an amazing view overlooking the Arno river and Tuscan hills. The staff took every step to enhance our stay! The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, cool (effective air conditioning) and impeccably clean. Beds are super comfortable too. There is also a pretty little garden where you can have your breakfast served by the very attentive and kind staff. The rooftop terrace is a hidden gem that many visitors seem to miss, but here you can just sit in elegant furniture and have a 360 degree view of Florence. We also enjoyed talking with the sweet receptionists (all of them very kind and authentic). The location is perfect - beautiful villas, safe and quiet - and just a nice and safe walk along the riverbank to all the important attractions. A small thing that could be improved is the (continental) breakfast. It could have some more options, if you’re like us and love breakfast;). But on a nearby street you’ll find a really cool place called Òzio where you can have a contemporary “all-day-breakfast” if you’d like! If you love vintage, trendy shops and cafes head to the other side of the river to the Santo Spirito market on Sundays or the shops on the small streets all other days.

All the facilities were excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The location is convenient, close to the train station and all the major attractions. The rooftop view is absolutely stunning. I’d definitely stay here again!

The walls are quite thin, which is typical for an older building in Florence. Unfortunately for me, the guests in the adjacent rooms checked in late, slammed a few doors and made loud phone calls during the night. If you’re sensitive to noise while you’re sleeping, consider bringing earplugs or noise-canceling headphones for a more comfortable stay.

My stay at Hotel Principe was overall a fantastic experience! The absolute highlight has to be the rooftop – it’s exceptional. The views over the city are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of the surroundings. The room was on the smaller side, but very well designed, clean, and comfortable – everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It felt cozy and stylish, with nice touches that made it feel welcoming. The staff were generally helpful, although I have to mention one guy at the reception who was just a little too much 😄 – overly enthusiastic, perhaps, but it didn’t take away from the overall great experience. If you're looking for a place with charm, comfort, and unforgettable views, Hotel Principe is a great choice. I'd happily stay again!

A lovely welcome from Andreas. This is a beautiful and intimate hotel with a real sense of tradition and style. Tastefully decorated throughout. Lovely barman and the presentation of my aperitif was done with care. Staff will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. I enjoyed the bedroom garden view and balcony. The views from the rooftop terrace at sunset will be remembered for ever. A perfectly adequate breakfast, beautifully presented and a lovely welcome from the barman on his morning shift. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, bars and shops, or just enjoy the river walk. Close walking distance from the train station or there is limited parking right opposite the hotel.

It would have been nice to have a nightcap at the bar but it closes at 20.00hrs. Watch out for the slight ridge on the flooring near the reception.

Great location on the Arno. We walked to everything from here. Rooms had a/c and the bathrooms were modern and clean. We had a junior suite and the large king bed plus two twins fit us all comfortably. Breakfast was decent and had a variety of foods (pastries, eggs, sausage, cereals, fruits, etc) that did the job for us. The best part was the friendliness and helpfulness of Hardeep (sp?) at the front desk. He made recommendations and reservations for us and even for our friends staying at a different location.

Beds had bedspreads instead of the sheets and duvets I'm more accustomed to these days, and I tend to feel like these are not washed as regularly, although I could be wrong. There also wasn't enough space for us to unpack (e.g. no dresser drawers).

Location was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic as were the staff.

Bath in our room lost its pop up waste and couldnt be used at the time.

The room was stunning and attention was paid to every detail. The AC worked super well. The view of from the balcony was beautiful, including full view of the Duomo. The location was really nice because it is right on the river, and close to everywhere I wanted to go, without being in the thick of chaos or noise. There is a garden and a rooftop terrace, both gorgeous and peaceful. The staff was absolutely top tier, all extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and easy.

I can't think of one thing I didn't like about this hotel. It was wonderful.

Staying here is like staying in your own private mansion. There are two expansive sitting rooms in addition to a large room used to serve breakfast. Outside there are formal gardens where you can eat your breakfast. I was torn between a couple of hotels when making this reservation, but was really pleased with this choice. The streets around the hotel have many really good restaurants and the St.Regis is around the corner.

We loved everything, I was happy I requested a terrace overlooking the Arno river.

The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, it was like lying on a cloud! The room was beautiful and the view over the city with the Duomo was gorgeous. Breakfast was in a beautiful room with delicious food.

My train arrived early in the morning and I arrived at the hotel at 6am hoping to drop my bag to begin exploring the city but they told me to come back in 2 hours :( as a solo female traveler it wasn’t good to sit out in the cold and dark on the street with nothing being open. It was advertised as 24 hours reception so I was expecting to be able to store my bag before check in on the same day.
