Great place to stay while exploring Florence!! Appreciated the 24 hour front desk, allowing me the ability to stay out after hours and shoot the city! Large-sized personal luggage lockers were perfect... There's even a charging station INSIDE so you can safely charge things within the locked locker!! (a very nice touch). Also VERY large, open kitchen and pleasant courtyards within which to eat breakfast.

Nothing really. I stayed in a 6 person dorm room and felt completely comfortable the entire time. I didn't need the "service", but be aware that there is a charge to hold your bags after you've checked out.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and lockers were large enough to accommodate the luggage. The staff was cordial and helpful. From the location, all the major attractions and Florence SNM railway station was at walking distance and a few grocery shops were nearby. The church just besides the propoerty is must visit for important tombs and interesting frescoes.

Although the croissants were tasty the breakfast i.e. one croissant and a coffee or two was not enough for me. Also, the breakfast was served at 930 which was quite late. I would have preferred to have it from 830 onward.

Had a lovely time staying here! The staff were lovely and told me interesting things to see in the area and about the church that the hostel is attached to. The room I stayed in (the women's only 4-bed room) was very spacious and the bunk spaces were big too. The breakfast that was included was great! The croissants and a cappuccinos were perfect to start the day.

Breakfast is a little bit too late, especially if you'd like to go out fairly early to go see the city. And just be aware that you need to be back before 11 or you will pay a fine - it is a reasonable time, however with the sun setting so late in summer it does cut your nights short :)

This hostel is quite the gem. The value for money is excellent. At first you are encountered with what used to be a monastery? But then you go beyond and it's a very modern hostel, with all the comforts, like socket near the bed, a small table, lockers to save your staff, good bathrooms (the only bad thing of the bathroom was it didn't have any hook to hang things). The bed was comfy and clean, and the space between bunk beds was very good, both lateral and in height. The location is perfectly set between the train station and the city center. Also, the girls at the breakfast (Luisa and Carolina) were super nice! Also the garden inside is beautiful. I only stayed for one night but I would highly recommend it.

The beds were so comfy, I liked the way they are designed. Also, I think it is great that each room has its bathroom. It might create a queue sometimes, but it also makes you feel you're in the hotel rather than a hostel. The premises, being part of an extremely beautiful church, and the location are just the best. We were amazed by the beauty of the hallways and courtyards.

The bathroom and kitchen would benefit from some repair, but the main problem was the extremely loud AC. It was producing such a noise all the time, unbearable at night.

Great location near the train station and town. The staff are pretty good. Best of all is probably the uniqueness of the church grounds where this hostel is located, the courtyard makes for great socialising. Beds are super comfy as well.

I had trouble finding the place at first. I wouldn't use the location on Booking.com but rather search Google Maps for New Generation/ Foresteria Sociale Florence (which is also the name above the entrance, see pictures). It's located right by Piazza Ognissanti, 3 doors left of the church entrance. Bathrooms could use a bit more attention, but decent.

The location was great. Very close to the center and short walking distance to the train station. The building and the yard were definitely the best thing about the hostel. Have never seen anything like it before! Was always excited to get back to the hostel in the evening. Rooms were big and clean, beds were comfortable and in the top bunks you had a lot of privacy.

having to pay for luggage storage (once before check-in and again after my check-out, should def be included after paying 60€ for a night!) having to give up your key every time you leave the building

This is easily the most beautiful hostel I have ever stayed in. The building is stunning, you will be blown away upon entering. The staff are absolutely incredible, all of them. I stayed here for an extended period as I am in the process of moving to Florence, and they were all so helpful and generous with their time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it is really special.

Nothing, there are no negative parts to this place!

We walked from the train station, for 10 minutes or so and that was great. Location is perfect, right in front of the river and 5 min away from Ponte Vecchio. We checked in right before sunset and the views of Florence were priceless, just steps away from the river and there you are. The property was an old monastery very clean and with many gardens full of flowers, a perfect place to relax. We shared our room with 4 other beds and a bathroom. We had big lockers and the bathroom was clean. The room had a few windows that faced the back patio, simply beautiful. There is always someone at the front desk, so check in was easy every time we came in. Property is close to shops, restaurants and cafes, not too far away by foot to all museums and historic buildings. Would return if I visit Florence again.

They had no towels when we arrived but later on after coming back from dinner they had them so that was great. You do have to pay a small fee to get them.

This place is an old monastery so it was an incredibly cool experience staying here as the place had beautiful art on the ceilings and walls, and a beautiful garden! You get so much space to yourself, like a little loft with a side table to put your things and an outlet. The personal lockers you get are huge and they have outlets inside of them for you to charge things while you're away! The location itself is also great and in walking distance to basically everything.

They definitely need a better system for your room keys. They make you leave your room key at the front desk everytime you leave the hostel and you pick it up when you get back, however they do not ask questions or verify that it's your room key. Because of this, they gave my key to someone else, but they didn't remember who. This makes it easy for someone to steal your stuff because along with the room key is an attached key to your locker. Additionally, the receptionist wasn't the nicest and definitely seemed annoyed whenever any of my friends had a question. Definitely could be cleaner.
