The breakfast was superb. You could have Continental or full Irish / English breakfast. The decor in the Hotel reception rooms ( with vaulted ceilings) and in our bed room was outstanding. I’d rate it 5 star. Could not have been more delighted with the vibe and atmosphere of the Rivoli. Everything was new and fresh. The shower in our room must have been brand new with an amazing multi nozzle arrangement and shower lighting that changed colour. The hotel Aircon was superb. You noticed this immediately on entry to the Reception area and throughout the premises. It was very hot during our stay but the AC system never faltered. Definitely on our list of hotels to return to.

Absolutely Nothing

The room was very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was fantastic, especially the shower which was so relaxing after a long day! The location worked really well for us as it was so close to the train station and we really liked the Santa Maria Novella area.

The breakfast was just okay.The same items were served everyday. While there was a lot to choose from, there was no gluten free bread or baked good options. We wished the pool would have been open a little later the evening, it closed at 9:00.

Great hotel, very cozy and service and staff was exceptional. rooms are quite small if you travel with a baby, however we asked for an upgrade and upgraded room was better. very clean rooms and hotel ,attentiond to a details .staff is simply amazing , very friendly, welcoming and helpful. location of the hotel is great - near the train station (5min walk) but in same time isolated , and also walking distance to the all attractions.

Good breakfast selection. Location great for train stn and walking to attractions. Front desk staff was most welcoming and personable; always smiling and greeting me when I was leaving or returning; helpful regarding directions and walking distances. Bartender was great, very attentive and knowledgeable; friendly, spending time chatting with customers. The outdoor courtyard for beverages was delightful. Beautiful relaxed setting.

Dinner service was awful. I asked if it was ok to order a dinner at 9:15pm and was assured it was fine. Then the waiter was pushing me to leave, wanting to take my plate away before I finished. Very rude. Most of the jets in the hot tub were not functional. That was disappointing since that was one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

So close to everything I wanted to see. Stop.The Carhedral, Statue of David, Ponte Vecchio Bridge and more. Also just a few blocks from the train station. My room was clean, the sheets sparkled!Liked the breakfast in the morning. Like there was so many places to lounge, both inside and out. Staff was all great.

The tables on all the patios could use a good scrubbing. The menu for dinner was kind of limiting, too nuch seafood. I would have eaten onsite more if the choices were more varied.

The staff were fantastic. The ambience of the hotel was really welcoming and the bar and waiting staff were informative and attentive. Rooms and bathrooms very clean. The hotel itself felt authentically Italian. The courtyard dining space was so pretty. Brilliant location too, within walking distance of galleries, museums and restaurants.

A minor point really which did not negatively impact on my stay - but as you have asked! The single rooms were very single! Small with a single bed. No robe or slippers which made them feel a little less prioritized - but fine for a few nights. If staying longer, I would opt for a double room though.

The bathrooms were renovated so looked nice and clean. Our bedroom was of good size and staff were polite and helpful.

The breakfast was very disappointing. It lacked variety and the quality of the sausages, breads and pretty much everything else was not great. The pool/jaccuzi needed renovating as it was too old and depressing.

Great location, pool, lounge areas, and breakfast. Very unique layout for dining, with beautiful outdoor spaces. Clean room and bathroom, secure, lots of power outlets, good wifi and A/C, nice to have kettle in the room. Room slippers were a very nice touch.

Room was much smaller than expected but typical for European cities. No vent for bathroom, so you need to open the window. If you wish to sleep with the window open and are a light sleeper, you might encounter some noise (not unreasonable levels at all). In my case, I prefer the A/C and once the windows are closed, it is completely quiet.

We got the room on a last-minute deal, and we've enjoyed every minute of it. Great place, close to the train station and the historical center, nice and affordable restaurant, good breakfast, and finally many thanks to the very helpful and friendly reception desk, especially Francesca: vous avez été absolument merveilleuse !

Honestly, I can't think of anything!

We were able to check in early which is always a bonus. As a return visitor (previously stayed here in 2018) we were given a welcome drink voucher which was appreciated. The included breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our stay there.

The spa was slightly too hot to use - only because Florence was in a heat wave.
