Everything was very lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is incredible but the most beautiful thing was the building. You could really feel that history. The breakfast was really delicious as well. They upgraded us to suits because it was available which was a very nice thing to do. I would definitely come back again and recommend everyone to come here. The staff was very nice too. Such a unique experience!!

The only thing that I had a problem with was the staff at the reception. We ate dinner at the hotel and had some welcome drinks when we first arrived. During check-out, she told us that we drank prosecco and bear and we need to pay for it which we were told they were welcome drinks. I wanted to tell that, we were told that they were complimentary if we need to pay of course we would do so. She goes “we are not going to die from 20 euros.” which I thought was a bit rude.

Staff very pleasant but not particularly organised. Location quite good - short walk to restaurants and places of interest. Large room with the smallest balcony I've come across! Very clean room and indeed whole hotel.

The hotel lacked any atmosphere and the staff seemed quite remote or distracted. As we were departing early we needed a taxi to be organised. We requested one a day early to make sure. The receptionist did not book it. The last day we checked and again requested a taxi. The receptionist got "distracted" and it was only on the third time of asking (and waiting for confirmation) that it was finally booked. It turned up exactly on time! There does not seem to be any management presence.

We were blown away by this property. It was one of the last ones available with a swimming pool, which made us hesitant and we didn’t see many reviews. Because of the heat and availability of a pool, we decided to take our chances and so glad we did. The rooms are spacious—we enjoyed having our separate sleeping rooms. The pool area was so charming and the servers bringing out drinks were really friendly. Easy walk to almost anywhere. Under 10 minutes to train station, and 5-15 minute walk to all of the main experiences (duomo, Uffizi, David, etc). Cannot recommend enough. Breakfast and rooftop bar were also great.

We loved the location near inner Florence but outside the tourist choked streets. Breakfast was enjoyable. The garden and pool were relaxing, especially given the inner city location. Property was clean and well maintained. Staff provided excellent service. Roof top bar was a delight. Restaurant restrooms were the cleanest encountered. As building is historic room was small but adequate.

We truly enjoyed the historic property. Persons with walking difficulties should be aware there are steps and floor transitions throughout the common areas that require guests to pay attention to where they walk. We had no issue with the floor transitions, but people who walk with their eyes on a cell phone or are otherwise inattentive may have issues.

Excellent location! Amazing breakfast, so so many options. Not the typical italian breakfast of coffee and croissant. The hotel has an amazing rooftop with great view.

I don’t know if this is only temporary, but there is no AC in the rooms (even though they state on booking that they do). When they gave us our room it was sauna hot, closed windows and fan off. When we asked, they said they didn’t have any rooms with functioning AC. They gave us a fan, and we had to sleep with the door of the balcony open every night. They gave us free drinks to compensate. Before booking just make sure they have taken care of that

The pool and outdoor area was beautiful. Great location. We could walk to the train station and all throughout the city. Rooms had high ceilings and ornate decor which gave it a very classic Italian feel. Many breakfast options every morning.

I would have appreciated more information at check in. There was no information card in the room either or information available online. The restaurant on site for dinner was closed indefinitely and didn't find that out until we went to eat dinner. Times of breakfast, if you wanted to use laundry service, ect. Overall information about the hotel and services.

The support of staff was exceptional. We arrived 4 hours before checkin time and our room was sready so we could go straight there. The lady who looked after our floor was equally exceptional in taking care of use, helping us to understand the digital 'do not disturb' sign and ensuring our tea and coffee were kept replenished. The hotel had a flood and staff kept us up to date with the progress of dealing with that. The breakfast was varied and full and plentiful.

Theh only concern I had was the height of the chairs in part of the dining room. It felt like I was a small child. However, when I moved to another table the chairs were fine.

The cleanest hotel I think I have ever stayed in, so hats off to your cleaning staff! Location very good. I liked room with balcony very much with one reservation set out below. A nice secure hotel with lovely staff.

The balcony I was given was not private in that persons going up to the rooftop bar all walked past the balcony. There was no screen to aid privacy if sitting on the balcony. Also, the noise from music from the rooftop bar was very hard to take and made it hard to relax if on the balcony. Breakfast only until 10am, rather than a slightly later time. People are on holidays after all!

The staff were excellent- all very helpful and friendly. Hats off to their language skills too! Loved the breakfast choice and the wonderful roof terrace. Extremely comfortable bed and lovely bedding. So good to have a pool in August- much needed. Excellent location close to the station and all the attractions- I would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff.

As previous reviews have noted some of the communal areas are tired- new stair carpets and updating the corridors would help. The 2 storey room we had was lovely but the stairs were very creaky, as were those of other rooms, and the stair carpets were a bit dated.

This is a beautiful hotel, within easy walking distance of the train station as well as the Duomo and other sites. Fabulous tall ceilings in our rooms, up-to-date bathrooms, friendly staff, well-maintained facility and kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and a special thanks to the lovely ladies who made our double espresso and cappuccino each morning. The rooftop bar was a delightful place to watch the sun set.

The bed was luxurious, but was too soft for me. This is a very subjective complaint; others might think the bed was perfect. The hotel restaurant was closed (except for breakfast). The Booking description should be updated to reflect that.
