Our first impression of Hotel Margaret was how close it was to the centre of the city. We arrived to Florence by train and it was 5 minutes away from the train station and just a brisk 10 minute walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The hotel was very easy to find and access, it was clean and it had beautiful vintage decorations. The host was exceptionally kind and helpful! When we checked out we left our luggage at the property and explored Firenze until the evening, the host gave us a key to retrieve the luggage and we were even able to access the bathroom then. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy place in Firenze :)

I stayed in a room with private bathroom, it was very spacious and comfortable. The staff on reception were very friendly. Shower was good. The air condition helped with the hot weather. Short walk from train station and all the main attractions of Florence.

Check in was slightly odd with the gentleman on reception shouting ‘hello’ from the window when you buzz the intercom. Not a big deal though.l as it was smooth when I was let inside. Room faced onto busy street so bring ear plugs.

The bed is so comfortable!! Big nd clean room. Big bath room, very clean and new. Good location, near by the train station. Nice host, we can leave baggage there.

Not much facilities, no refrigerator, microwave

The location was perfect. Around the corner of the train station. There was a bistro next door for breakfast or diner, which I recommend. Also some bars and restaurants in the street and around the other corner at a marvelous square. Also the room was very nice and deserves more stars then mentioned. And I would recommend the Joshua Tree Bar with great beers and staff.

Not so much. If I must make one remark it would be about the towels that were of a odd synthetic fabric. Point for improvement I would say.

I have wonderful impressions after a two-week stay at "Margaret". 1. Thanks to Francesco and other staff for their kindness and responsiveness. They have created excellent accommodation conditions and take constant care to ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay. 2. The place is next to the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella and 10 minutes walk from the historical sights of Florence. "Santa Maria Novella" train station is 3-4 minutes away, which is an advantage for arrivals and departures, as well as for those interested in the historical towns around Florence.

the only rough part is not having elevators, but everything, from the staff members to the room, view and everything is phenomenal! you are only 5 minutes walk from the main station and next to great restaurants and to the main squares

The lack of elevator, it was rough getting quite few pieces of bags alone with a 7 year old kid , even though the staff offered help. But seriously this is NOT deal breaker

The location was amazing, can walk to most things easily and lots of restaurants around. Clean room, felt comfortable, friendly staff

The room we were staying in was close to the reception and the cleaning area so we could hear everything and it can be very noisy in the morning, not sound proofed at all

Great location for getting around Florence. Everything was clean and the staff was very attentive and nice. Beds were very comfortable and room was large.

Rooms were not soundproof at all. You can hear noise not only from outside at all hours of the night, but you can hear everything the other guests are doing in their rooms as if they are right next to you.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel because they do not serve breakfast until 8. We had tours scheduled early, so unable to eat at the hotel. The hotel is very close, within walking distance of all the sites. We are also very near to the river, where there are many shops and eateries.

The room has been recently remodeled and they did it beautifully. My only complaints are the pillows and mattress in our room were more firm than I like. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly reception, the room is very clean & tidy, amenities are there, and the location is perfect. We got unique towels and they did the job of drying the body. Takes about 5 min. to train station and easily drag our luggage in the street.

We have to go up 1 floor by stairs. Not sure whether the elevator is usable or not, but this is something to consider when you have heavy lugagges.
